Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Found this on Tropes A to G. Bolded the suspicious parts.
- All Crimes Are Equal: A very frequent criticism of the show.
- All too often, Eddy's antics will net Ed and Edd the same punishment/retribution, no matter if they were unwitting accessories or if they tried to stop him. This is a major reason why some fans don't like the other kids.
There are three other examples attached to All Crimes Are Equal, but those seemed fine. I don't think that we should include criticisms on the main page.
Regarding Warp That Aesop, should we even allow that for reviewers? It seems pretty close to troping real people.
From the description of The Nutcracker in 3D:
Complaining, reception in description. Seems like an easy cut I assume?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI understand My Immortal has a reputation for being memeticly awful, but its entry on CrapsackWorld.Fan Works seems to cross the line on complaining.
Yeah, that can go. My Immortal's universe isn't portrayed as being horrible in the fic itself, so it's misuse anyway.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThere is another piece of evidence that Faniction receives more complaining but it goes almost unnoticed. Also looking at The Prayer Warriors more the character and main pages are even worse as it often describes stuff the audience reacts to rather than what was intended in the universe, which is also a common problem with these bad works.
Ordeaux, I'm gonna be honest, this is veering a bit into Single-Issue Wonk territory. These are two fanfics that attract complaining. Why is that evidence we should focus more on fanfic than other works? Why not just take every work that attracts complaining on a case by case basis?
If there's any increased risk, I'd say it's for A) works aimed at children and B) works made on or related to the Internet.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Listen Ordeaux, if you want to prove this, you need a sample that represents the entire namespace. Like a medium-specific wick-check (that's about 98 pages, as the Fanfic/ namespace has 9442 pages total
). Then you'd need to compare it to the other popular namespaces. Otherwise you're basing your entire argument off two infamous works. I can make the exact same argument for Western Animation/ by citing Titanic: The Legend Goes On and The Nutshack.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI do understand what you are saying there but I don't see how I would go about doing that. I am more worried that these issues aren't brought up more because of how obscure many fanfics are, I am not saying we should focus it on more but the problem is that complaining cleanups on fanfics don't really happen at all.
But you're just assuming this is true with no evidence, based on two fanfics. And these two fics aren't even obscure ones.
If anything the issue with fanfics is that they're often written by people who don't understand the site's rules or standards, similar to the RP pages.

Which, ironically, leads to gushing more than complaining, due to Auto-Erotic Troping.
I wonder If maybe a general fanfiction cleanup thread might be needed. For now, I will just focus on cleaning up complaining on The Prayer Warriors specifically.
So, uh... I don't know where else to post this, but Chris-chan recently did something... very not good and I'm wondering if the impending shitstorm should be addressed.
Seeing how the pages for Sonichu are locked should we do a wick check and keep an eye out for any potential future mentions of them (if any brave souls would be willing to)?

Came for the tropes, stayed for the cleanup. Her page is locked I think, so unless people spread it to other pages we should be fine.

The only complaining I see is "thus fixing the Tastes Like Diabetes problem that some people have with the series" and that's very mild as far as complaining goes.
