Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Yeah, the forum games thread is the only Pantheon project thread.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallMaybe there should be a Pantheon cleanup thread. I was also thinking of a SelfDemonstrating.Character Pages thread where people can propose and give feedback for drafts and see if the characters are worthy of a Self-Demonstrating page.
Rock'n'roll never dies!
But Self-Demonstrating Pages aren't a giant, decades-long TVT project with a forum thread dedicated to it.
We can't just make our own thread to "clean up" their project. We need to discuss things with them.

Did you mean to point at me? That's what I suggested.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Already brought it up there; it apparently wasn't an approved addition and is being removed.
Pantheon contributor here. Yeah, we dont allow texts like that but like i said on the Pantheon thread, it tends to slip by. Sorry for any inconvinience.
I also have to check Pink Floyd's own profile because the troper that made that text might have also mentioned the NC there. If you have any Pantheon related issue just PM me or go to the Pantheon forum thread.

No problem, glad this could be resolved so easily.
From She-Ra and the Princesses of Power:
- Draco in Leather Pants:
- Catra is a fan favorite. The writers made her deliberately sympathetic, and often pit her against the unilaterally detestable Shadow Weaver, so Catra naturally appears more sympathetic by contrast. That said, Catra is also incredibly selfish and vindictive and with almost no sympathy for anyone, with her moments of kindness to others being just that - moments - and she openly cares very little that the Horde goes around destroying the world and killing innocent people. Even after she tries to destroy Etheria and all life on it including herself just to deny Adora victory, you will still find fans who think she is justified in her actions. That being said, she does show clear unhappiness once she reaches the top of the food chain, has her sanity gradually chipped away due to a mixture of guilt and paranoia, and undergoes heaps of Character Development in Season 5.
This entry originally accused fans of doing DILP if they believed that Catra could be redeemed. Because the show itself ultimately concluded that she was redeemable, I removed the entry. It was then added back with the first half unchanged, but the section after "that said" added. I think the first part still reads as character bashing, while the added section creates the additional problem of the entry arguing against itself (while still never actually acknowledging her Heel–Face Turn). It also reads a complaining in that it strawmans people who find Catra sympathetic as justifying everything g she's ever done, instead of thinking that she is redeemable (which the show ultimately agrees with).

Can it still be DILP when the authors lean into it? Perhaps DILP as Ascended Fanon?
Hope shines brightest in the darkest times
I don't think that's possible. The entire point of DILP is that fans are reading the character more sympathetically than they are presented as in canon. And in this specific instance, everything I've seen from the creators indicates that Catra pulling a Heel–Face Turn was always the plan, and not inspired by fan reactions.

I think DILP can still apply to a redeemed villain if the fans still find ways to act like they're a better person than the canon suggests- for example, by pretending that the past actions they had to apologize for to be redeemed weren't actually bad enough to apologize over. So if there are "Catra did nothing wrong" folks out there who excuse everything she did pre-redemption, I'd say it could qualify as DILP. However, the entry does make it sound like Catra being sympathetic was the writers' choice first and foremost.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
The entry was originally written before the Heel–Face Turn, and explicitly denounced anyone who thought it would happen. After it did, only the second half of the entry was rewritten, while the first still essentially treats the character as if the "correct" interpretation is that she's irredeemably evil. so the entry ends up being half character-bashing, half arguing against itself. At the very least it needs a rewrite.
Draco in Leather Pants can absolutely apply to characters who do ultimately wind up "good guys" in the end. Like I said recently in the Unintentionally Unsympathetic thread, one of the most annoying habits of some fans is their tendency to erase nuance.
Edit: Though sure, the entry can use a rewrite.

Of course it can, but the essential feature is the disconnect between how fans perceive the character and how they are presented in canon. If the entry emphasized that the character was meant to be sympathetic but that fans defend actions that the creators intend to be bad, that would be fine. But he entry as it is instead acts as though the character is meant to be totally unsympathetic, which ironically leans into Ron the Death Eater.

The page for Twinkle Nora Rock Me! is filled with complaining. I already touched up the opening paragraphs a bit, but there still appears that some work still needs to be done.
For example, I don't think this page needs a quote from a different source, especially one that's bashing it. The 'astoundingly low budget' shouldn't really be bold, especially since there's no info on how much budget was spent and while No Budget is on the trivia page, it's a Zero-Context Example that only says it because of the animation in the OVA itself. Also, I don't believe the opening paragraph should include the conclusion of the anime either, especially for those who haven't seen it yet. Also, I'm not sure if comparing to Hammerman is all that fair. I'm aware both are notable for their Limited Animation, but it seems unfair to compare two works with entirely different plots.
Their are also some pot shots in the trope descriptions and a few other Zero Context Examples throughout that also need to be looked into. Examples include, Action-Hogging Opening mocking it's lacking in-between frames, Casual Interstellar Travel not explaining how it's implied, and not explaining how Touchino is a Jerkass.

I found this example while cleaning up the Egyptian Myths YMMV page for Popular with Furries.
- Anubis became particularly popular among the twentieth century furry fandom, with plenty of Rule 34. The Malaysian furry artist Lim Guo Liang lampooned this by showing Anubis lamenting his modern sex symbol status
.
Anubis: I was once a great God of Death... now, I'm a bloody symbol of sodomy and lust. WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS?!
The first part seems fine, but it's the rest of the sentence and example that really feel like it's bashing furries. All right if I removed it?
The fact a furry drew it might lessen the sting a bit.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.YMMV.Validate Struggling Singles In Your Area is entirely negative, and mostly misused tropes at that. Americans Hate Tingle to describe reactions from the country of origin, Ethnic Scrappy with no context on specific characters, Unintentionally Unsympathetic is a ZCE for "the entire cast," Were Still Relevant Dammit for a game that hasn't even officially come out, much less become a Long Runner. Bile Fascination is the only one that makes sense, and even that entry makes me wary since it cites an extremely right-wing anti-SJW Youtuber and attempts to link So Bad, It's Horrible, which isn't allowed (and it's not accurate because the game has a sizable unironic fanbase), but don't worry, they just linked a nonexistent trope instead (So Bad Its Awful).
The main page doesn't contain any tropes and is just a copy/pasted description straight from the official game website. I suggest both pages get cut, if not completely overhauled, because it seems the page was made with an agenda just to complain without consideration for the wider fanbase (it seems the game does have a fanbase, going off of replies to their Twitter account).
