Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

That example should be removed for misuse since it doesn't describe what's being parodied.
The page description for Fascists' Bed Time is mostly complaining about the trope. Also, it mentions the Covid lockdown in the description, which I am fairly certain should go on the examples list. (And while I am worrying about how closely America on lockdown is beginning to resemble Oceania, I don’t think we are quite there yet, and I hope we never will be.)
One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord.Yeah, the description is bizarrely hostile to the trope it's describing. I also think, given that the trope explicitly ascribes a moral value to the curfew, it should not allow real-life examples.
That description needs to be rewritten to remove the complaining.
There's been a longstanding negativity with the '90s Anti-Hero trope, both in its description and in several examples. I've been meaning to call attention to this for a long time, but what finally got me to post about it was several entries regarding the Doom Slayer:
And from the character sheet:
Both of these just read as "well this character isn't a straight example because I like him!".
This may be need to be taken to the trope repair shop or something. I don't want it to be renamed or cut, but the negativity and passive-aggressiveness in its description definitely needs to go.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterWould not shoot a civilian? I don't remember any civilians, at least from the original Doom series. And to be fair, the original games did not exactly have much time dedicated to character establishment. Perhaps that description comes from someone who only remembers the original games?
Optimism is a duty.I believe they're referring to Doomguy's backstory where he was sent to Phobos as punishment for attacking his superior when he was ordered to fire on civilians. Never mind that "cool edgy dude that rebels against authority and goes against his dickhead boss" is standard anti-hero MO.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterYes, that definitely would fit.
Optimism is a duty.Excelsior 123 added this to Disney Plus:
- On second thought, maybe not. Disney are hypocrites. Darth Vader murdered a bunch of kindergarteners in one Star Wars movie, yet they won't let the Lizzie McGuire revival and that Love, Simon show on Disney+ due to their 'adult' themes for a supposedly family-friendly streaming service. Perhaps RJG! would be better off on Amazon Prime, which no one uses, but still.

Obviously, nuke that. Actually, WMG.Disney Plus should be cut and locked. We don't allow subjective subpages for creators or networks. And done.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Do we actually clean up the wild mass guessing page?
I mean, yeah the conversation itself is frankly ridiculous. It started as wondering if recently cancelled PBS children's show Ready Jet Go! would be put on Disney+ like how they acquired Doug and Bill Nye decades ago. But then they suggested turning a science educational show aimed at toddlers into a gritty High School Musical spin-off with morals on drug addiction, mental health, LGB Ts, and toxic relationships!? And that weird train of thought led to the comment above.
Like, I'd say the entire entry needs to die in a fire in any other forum, but then again it is Wild Mass Guessing. Edit: nevermind, I'm late to the party. Nuke it.

Should note the troper who added that has done this before and got suspended.
They were released from suspension on condition something like that never happened again by the way. Guess some people never learn.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."We do. "Theories" that are actually just mindless bashing get chopped.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJustForFun.Dream Disney Plus Streaming Original Casts is an offshoot of WMG.Disney Plus.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand! Also, Darth Vader did not kill kindergarteners. Those kids looked to be early teens or a bit younger.
Optimism is a duty.Cutlisted that page.
Is that really the issue here? Lol.
YMMV.Ratchet And Clank Size Matters
- Seinfeld Is Unfunny: Though it did sell well on the Play Station Portable, and got plenty of positive reviews, the game has not aged very well, especially after being overshadowed by the critically acclaimed Future trilogy. Today, the game is seen in a negative light by fans for its Recycled Script from the original game, the Big Bad being nothing but Narm, and Ratchet reverting to his unlikable jerkass roots.
For some reason, it keeps using Narm to describe the game on the YMMV page. Anyhow, anyone else agree this is misuse? What tropes were there to copy from it? It was just a Ratchet & Clank game on the PSP.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Remove for being misuse of Seinfeld Is Unfunny, since it doesn't explain how its tropes were later copied which makes the game now feel unoriginal.
I found this on The Loud House:
- To put it simply, Lincoln has effectively no reason to be in the house anymore because his furniture was sold and now he’s stuck wearing a mascot costume because the stupid imbeciles who call themselves his family believe it to be good luck, thus leaving his life pretty much ruined. And they don’t even seem to feel sad or remorseful at all. It’s a total wonder why Lincoln doesn’t just give up on them forever and go live somewhere else.
I think this might be at least partially complaining, and the troper who added it has added several examples complaining about No Such Luck and Brawl in the Family...
Sorry to bother you if this isn't a problem...
Sure sounds like complaining. I'd say cut it.
<(0_0<) <(0_0)> (>0_0)> KIRBY DANCE"the stupid imbeciles who call themselves his family"
That example absolutely deserves the guillotine.
You hold the Jerkass Ball just once, and some people will forever unhealthy hold a grudge against you.

- Sequelitis: Size Matters is often criticized by fans for a weaker story, lots of narm, several Good Bad Bugs, recycled plots, and for coming after the highly popular Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked.
Sequelitis is when a series gets worse with each installment. To my knowledge, this and Secret Agent Clank are just outliers among the series (With a different developer to boot). It even says it came after 2 other well received games in the series.

Seems like shoehorned misuse to me. What's it supposedly parodying? Nothing.
