It was a fairly nice morning. Not too warm, not too cold, it was shaping up to be a wonderful day. At least, as far as weather was concerned.

Yoshida Akio, on the other hand, wasn't paying much attention to the weather. He was paying more attention to the fact that he was running late.

Akio was trying to take a short cut that, so far, hadn't shortened his bike ride to school in the slightest. If anything, it had lengthened it. Less crowded? Sure. Shorter route? No.

"Come on, " Akio said under his breath, pedaling his bike faster. how much longer could it take? It seemed that he'd made a complete U-turn around Tomoe Gakuen and was now coming back.

He'd been told that this way was faster by a friend at school, Shimizu Hanako, Oh, sure, she'd be able to make it in time. After all, she had enough energy to jog faster then he could ride. Hell, she probably just runs to school every day.

Still, he pedaled onwards. At last, Tomoe Gakuen came into view. The high school had quite a pleasent surrounding, with several trees planted in locations that framed the entrance. Akio wasn't focusing on nice scenery. If he ran, he'd make it in time. He lept off his bike, neglecting to at least chain it up. He burst through the door, and ran for his classroom. He was almost there, just a little further.

Akio made it, and swung the door open. He glanced at the clock, and was relieved to see that he made it on time. His arms hang rather limply and he leaned forward, with a sigh of relief. Akio walked over to his desk, which was only one seat away from the center desk, and sat down.

Hanako was in the middle. She looked at him, innocently, and asked "How was the shortcut?"

Her voice gave no indication she had planned to make him late.

Akio merely glared at her.

Hanako frowned, then shrugged. Akio was always so serious, he needed to lighten up. Whatever, in any case they only had a little time before homeroom started, so they couldn't waste it! Kobayashi-sensei was so boring, after all...

Ishikawa Koari, on the other hand... passively sat still and read her book. There wasn't anything to pay attention to, after all. It was a sci-fi title, a story of spaceships, daring rescues, and new worlds.

Bit of a note, Akio's an NPC, actually, this is just... kind of a weird way to introduce Hanako. Next post will actually have me more using Hanako and Koari and relegating Akio to the background.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"So, you're not allowed to go to sleep in lessons today! I even modified the settings a little so that I can check afterwards!" Sugar said in a hushed whisper, berating her lazy twin and standing just to the side of the homeroom door, "If you sleep, I'm going to take all the cake and eat it myself!"

"Uwaaaaaaaaaaaah! Onee-chan, that's mean..." the oddly slightly taller redhead whined, looking down at the kimono-clad teacher and sniffling. To steal all the cake... onee-chan really, really wanted her to stay awake for some reason, "Can't I even sleep through maths?"

Sugar thought for a second. Maths? Well... maybe, in that case, it was alright, the maths teacher was so boring... "Fine, maths only! If you're asleep before lunchtime, though, no cake!"

With that, the teacher walked into the classroom and waved at the class. She should've asked the man to make her a bigger suit; she looked like an elementary-school sized highschool student, not a teacher, and she always had to rely on her kimono to get noticed...

"But.. Suwako-chaaan, you can't wear that hat to school, it'll poke somebody's eye out!" Miki pleaded with his taller sister, not believing they had to go through something like this *again*.

"It's a necessary part of my uniform," his supposedly twin sister remarked, nodding emphatically beneath the pickelhaube resting atop her head.

"But.. you know that katana doesn't go with the whole ensemble, right?" the idol had tried to change tactics. No dice.

"It's a perfect blend of European sophistication and Japanese tradition," she insisted, jealously gripping the hilt of her (wooden) blade.

"You're not even Russian.. er.. German.." Miki attempted to argue, only to be corrected by Suwako.

"Prussian," she offered the term. Such had been the morning routine for the pair.

They arrived at Tomoe Gakuen on time mostly because Miki hadn't wanted to argue with the sibling about what she should wear any longer. The girl was nice enough but all these phases could get on an idol's nerves. As they passed through the pleasant school grounds toward their class, the siblings made a peculiar pair. Suwako, taller than Miki by a full four inches, was garbed in a mid-1800s Prussian uniform (blue jacket, while pants and belt, black boots and that stupid spiked helmet), a wooden katana in its sheath hanging from the waist. Miki on the other hand had opted for a vaguely Seifuku looking Lolita outfit, hair done up with a pink bow that matched the neckerchief. The idol sighed as he arrived at the door to the classroom, where Suwako insisted on holding it open 'for a lady'. This was the tail end of her Prussian phase, he hoped - but what would be next?

"Ohayoouu, minna-san!" he exclaimed brightly as he stepped into the room, returning to his bright and cheery persona as he took his seat.

Suwako meanwhile just stepped inside the door, looked around, and stood next to the desk closest to the door. She clicked the heels of her boots and stood there, waiting to open the door for other students as they arrived.

"This is going to be a long day," Miki grumbled.

(OOC: Since I don't know the roster, I'll let you people decide who is close to Takeo and wether he sat on someone's else seat or not)

Takeo walked with a thoughtful pace, a bit on the slow side. His eyes were focusing at an uncertain point in the distance, his expression of concrete apathy. All in all, he was having a rather unsettling expression, exacerbated by how he slung his briefcase over the shoulder. He was stretching time a bit, but for a good reason.

Being an exchange student required some preparation, he was going to be presented to this new school. He just needed to open the door and ...

Be greeted by a certain girl cosplaying some weird european suit of the twentieth century. He tilted his head so slightly, eyeing the girl up and down, and then muttering.

"I wasn't aware people could carry weapons to class." He said, as he glared throughout the classroom, his eyes locking on which seats were empty. He found one, and without further ado, he went and dropped his case on top of it, looking to the people surrounding him.

They didn't even bother to answer his stare, so he assumed it was empty. Unceremoniously sitting on it, he folded his arms, his stare now aimed at the blackboard. What kind of teacher would ask him to be presented? He pondered.

Already seated and ignorant of her surroundings, Kotomi was completely engrossed in the manga she was reading. Eyes rarely blinking as they scanned the pages, she took in every single panel, a slight smile on her face indicating she was enjoying the battle scenes going on.

This was pretty much how every day went for Kurosaki Kotomi. More reading of manga than she read textbooks and the like. Also part of the reason the blonde rarely talked to others. Too busy to strike up a conversation. But even if she did, what was there to talk about? Kotomi had over two thousand manga titles to talk about, but... nothing else, really.

Makoto slowly entered the classroom, seemingly having walked to school, or at least to the room, whilst reading one of her favourite manga. Satisfied with where the chapter had left off, she fumbled with her bag a bit as she put the manga away.

As the otaku headed towards her seat, she spotted Kotomi's reading material. It was one of her favourites! And the other girl seemed to be enjoying it too. Taking her seat behind the blonde, the bespectacled girl attempted to start a conversation. "H-hi. Um...That chapter's really great, isn't it?"

Burn up, hurricane of justice!
