Just wishful thinking really.
Or I have really low standards since I liked Aquarion EVOL and everyone was having a massive hissy over it in its forum. That and I've mentioned I throughly enjoyed Dx D and it seems to be a bit of a divisive subject.
I like lighthearted fun anime as much as anyone else. Estetica is just... meh. The character designs are almost as dull as the characters themselves, and the setting is just the same old superschool. There were flashes of decency, but calling this anime 'mediocre' would be much more praise than it has actually earned.
Oh, and the end of the second episode was just terrible.

In fact most nostalgia is like this.
I know I personally have gotten much more discriminating with what I watch and more analytical about stuff I enjoy and stuff I don't. And this does help me determine what I would probably like from afar.
Ultimately it's still about what I like and what I personally enjoyed though.

Kono Imo 2: The thing with the sister is still creepy. Vastly better than the first episode though thanks to the screentime given to totally-not-obvious reverse trap Mister X and the Princess. I guess it's also nice that the harem lead is explicitly considered dreamy, and that there was only one stupid misunderstanding even though there were at least three instances where a stupid misunderstanding could have happened.
And I dearly hope that the bathroom-fanservice-slash-monologue thing doesn't become a trend. It's really awkward.
tl'dr Watch it for Mister X!
That's pretty much why I'm watching Estetica too.

Yes I'm actually fairly sure I have low standards since nothing about Estetica bothered me except for the lack of any real action besides minor tussles so far.
I'm watching it for Akatsuki because he's a different sort of lead character. In the cavalcade of Idiot Heroes who are Oblivious to love he's just kind of chill and a little arrogant. Its a nice change.
Estetica might almost deserve it's own thread by now.
I have to agree about the main character. He seems to alter his image to fit the circumstances. Maybe he actually is a bit arrogant under that, but then maybe he's got a good reason to be.
The high-level power play is also good. It's like if Harry Potter wasn't such a wimp during those detentions with Umbridge where he knew he was in the right but just accepted writing lines in his own blood.
Although he is a jerk.

New thread for Hagure Yuusha.
Full Battle ModeNo love for Oda Nobuna no Yabou? pity. As I said earlier (and to steal an earleir comment about estetica) in an era of Idiot Heroes, it's nice to see a protagonist who A: Realizes that his role is exceedingly important (He's Hideyoshi's replacement) and B: Actually takes advantage of his Future Knowledge (it's the main strength he has, he knows what will happen and when).
Though most people aren't going to see past the fact that its the Sengoku Era (done to death, admitedly) and genderswapping (also done to death vis a vis sengoku).
Give it a try though.
BYOON~!Chitose Get You is actually innocuous enough to have a page, even under our new content policy. It's kinda like Recorder And Randsell.
But... Meh.
The only part I found funny was the teacher squabbling on the same level as her elementary school student.
It's just a short gag series, so at 2 episodes there's not much to put on the page anyway.
Thank you, finally someone agrees with me.
The 2nd episode follows up on the first, the protag is just as capable (and competent) as he was in the first episode. Thers some amusing byplay in the first half, and then it gets more serious in the 2nd half. We also get to see the first example of history changing via Saru's actions. Nobuna spares her brother, whom historically Nobunaga killed after his rebellion
BYOON~!I took a look at it since I had dropped Nakaimo and have room for another show this season, and it looks pretty good. I'll keep following it.
But I do have to ask... how many "historical gender flip" shows have we actually had recently? All I can really find is Sengoku Collection, which is already quite different for actually taking place in the modern world (while this is the other way around), and as far as I'm seeing, the whole "too many Sengoku-era gender-flip shows" criticism is just exaggeration.
Edit: Wait, Mamiko Noto is Imagawa?! Dang, between this and Moyashimon, she's going all-out Playing Against Type, and it's going to be awesome!

Well from some quick searching, there's Sengoku Otome and a couple H-games that are gender flips of Sengoku Period Japan.
And there's Ikki Tousen and Koihime†Musou for gender flips of Warring States Period China, if you conflate those in there.
Not exactly too much, but not that uncommon.
It seems higher than it actually is because they were pretty much unheard of until fairly recently
Also there's Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, sort of

Was a great ep. I'm the one who called it as obfuscating perversity. Its a tactic I know well so I can spot it pretty easily.
So it looks like all the things that made people pissy were just taking completely out of context to make it look bad.
