Last few impressions:
Sword Art Online: Decent. Production values are high enough to look good where it counts, but not spectacular. Plot has potential. Probably not going to end up watching, but I can see why others might
Joshiraku: Pretty good. Has the misfortune of being in a season with a lot of good comedies, though. Also I think the manga is a bit better
Also; Total Eclipse's second episode was indeed an improvement, and I think Jinrui is probably the best thing from this season
I saw the first episode, it was kind of okay but Rendezvous is probably filling my Josei needs this season.
Infinity...
Remember when Marii was standing behing that sign? Yeah, one of the things that popped up was the name of the bill and one of them said that it wasn't relevant there.
Just watched the 1st episode of Oda Nobuna no Yabou.
It's actually nice to see a protag actually DO something about "being from the future" or whatever. Yoshiharu isn't an idiot, he knows he's taken the place of Hideyoshi and is trying his damnedest to live up to what he realizes is an exceedingly critical role in history. his perversion barely even arises in the first episode. it's a nice change of pace. Pity it'll probably be 1 cour.
BYOON~!(cross-post for Sword Art Online watchers who aren't paying attention to the other thread)
Non-spoiler for anime watchers:
The original Light Novel jumps past the next few episodes and immediately moves the plot to the point where everything has "settled down" and we get to see how the characters/people are coping with the situation without seeing all the "navel gazing" while the anime is going to follow/use a number of short stories that were set in the timeframe of the first novel and we will see more about how the characters get to that point.
YMMV on which way is better. No one will be able to do a completely honest/un-biased comparison of the two, so let's not even try to compare them.
(Also, we are trying to keep outright spoilers to the minimum in the other thread, so it is generally safe to read it. Though there are some "spoiler-covered" spoilers for future events.)
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie! Finally got to watch Estetica episode 1, and it was better than I expected. Well, I was expecting something along the lines of DXD, but here the protag is kinda cool despite being an underwear thief and there's little nuggets of interesting stories all throughout, especially the one regarding the Demon King's daughter.
Okay, I'm done with Dakara Boku Wa H Ga Dekinai.
To be fair, it was a little better in episode 2.
The guy was less annoying with his erotic spirit drained, but he just gets it back again all too soon.
It's really not for me so... Dropped.
As for Kono Naka Ni Hitori Imouto Ga Iru Episode 2... Continue to place your bets.
And some genuine surprise from me that we were ever supposed to think Mister X was a guy.
This season seems to be a good one for averting Unprovoked Pervert Payback so far. Not completely, but definitely to a noticeable degree.
Didn't notice that. Certainly they don't seem to have hidden it at all, but she's not really established as a guy either (apart from the crossdressing) so I was genuinely surprised that the main character was surprised.
Still like I was saying, at least the shower scene didn't ending in a beating. "Put some clothes on." Indeed. That's kinda what I was thinking.
Hagure Yuusha No Estetica episode 2.
This anime sure is an... illuminating experience. It will be one of those "love it or hate it" kind of things. Personally, I'm firmly on the love end of the spectrum, but it's not everyone cup of tea.
Akatsuki is like the greatest guy ever. He does whatever the hell he wants and no matter how outrageous it is, it turns out to be good in the end. He's awesome.
Nice to see that Miyuu made friends. I really like her, she's like the most developed character yet, especially among girls...
Good episode all around.
Most likely.
Yeah, the appeal of the show is definitely the protagonist. If he doesn't appeal to you, then you won't really like it. For the record, I laughed like a psychopath at some points because of that awesome egoistic bastard of a protagonist.
Supporting protagonist Myuu is also starting to become interesting. If I had to state a major flaw of the show, it's that the setting's so ... boring. Way too mundane for my taste. That's probably the point, but I don't like it much.
Full Battle Mode

thanks. i need some weakly dose of stupid comedy. need some warm up for next ichizon
