"Divine Spirit 'Fantasy Seal -Blink-'" Reimu announced, declaring the attack more for the benefit of people that might think to get in the way than the zombies. Then she started to move, leaving fans of ofuda behind her. Then the ofuda themselves started to move... and that's when things got really weird. Despite moving entirely in a straight line, Reimu had somehow warped back to the other side of some rigidly defined area, multiple times. That more balls were sprayed at the zombies was just... weird.

The Old Axe Armour was quite happily continuing to throw her axe and jumping, regarding flight as unnecessary when she could gain and maintain the correct altitude by jumping on thin air.

Scout proceeded to take out his metal baseball bat and dash towards a zombie. Once he was close enough, the Boston boy swung his bat, and let out a chuckle once he heard the satisfying sound of the metal hitting human flesh:

"Oh yeah!"

Aang, however, was actually dodging all the zombies that charged at him. Even if they were supposed to be the "undead" (he didn't understand the concept of a dead person coming back to life), the boy still believed that they were human, and shouldn't be injured. In fact, when he accidentally gave one of the zombies a minor injury, the boy actually said sorry, and continued to resume his routine of dodging, sometimes with the help of his airbending.

Those were the zombies? Well, they outnumbered the group, so it definitely looked like this was going to follow the standard zombie apocalypse format, except for those 'zones'. She wanted to ask the little girl about those in more detail but...she'd vanished. The trainer stepped back, away from the frontlines and grabbed one of the six red and white orbs at her waist. She threw it into the air.

"Come on out, Cofagrigus!" she called, as the ball opened, revealing a strange looking monster. A golden sarcophagus with glowing red eyes, a rather evil looking smile and black arms coming out of it, to be exact. "Okay, this is the prologue, so it's a good chance to show off what we've got!"

As if that had been enough to tell it what to do, the monster got to work. The coffin fired a series of glowing green and inky black spheres of energy at the zombies, after all, this wasn't a pokemon battle, so why would it wait for the zombies to fight back?

Sato looked at the approaching horde. To say she was scared would be...a bit of an understatement. Even so, she had to help defeat these if she wanted to get home. The schoolgirl put her manga away and pulled out a pen. "Maken - Comic Star!" she announced, "Effect Works!" she began writing on the air, no doubt looking rather odd to anyone not preoccupied by the horde. If only because every line she drew seemed to hang in the air.

Rubicante simply stood back and watched. The others seemed to have this more or less under control.

Lots of zombies. Lots of zombies was slightly troublesome... but nothing impossible to handle. Besides, the manipulation of density was a handy power at times like this. Suika began to grow. She grew and grew until she became roughly thirty feet tall.

With a drunken grin, she swung one fist right into the horde of zombies.

Seeing everyone mow down the zombies like grass was not exactly a strange experience for Harpuia. What surprised him was everyone's powers. Powers which he had never seen before. Still, he couldn't sit back and do nothing. He was a Guardian, and he had to do his duty.

He flew into the air and launched waves of energy from his blades, bombing whatever unfortunate zombies were under him at the time.

"...150%...200%" The zombie mumbled before glancing up at the flying abominations. "Sorry, but... you need to be recycled for the planet." Crouching down, the grey haired youth actually launched himself skyward with such a strong force that grass and earth about his feet exploded outwards from pressure, sod flying about. As he reached the first of the hundreds, he swung a lariat at a portion of the horde. Said result was the zombie catching dozens of the weaker thing on an arm before crashing into the country side with his impossible load. A bigger explosion of grass and dirt later, a single figure rose out of a crater, falling body parts raining about him.

Wood Man began beating his chest with the sound of a beating drum. And continued to do so as metal plates shaped like leaves were launched from his back and began orbiting him and flung the resulting sphere upward at the nearest zombies. This was the power of the Leaf Shield!

Fate simply watched the zombies ahead, before taking a triangular yellow jewel from her pocket.

"Bardiche Assault... Set Up!" She cried, and the jewel flashed, causing her clothes to explode in a burst of golden-yellow light. In their place was what appeared to be a red-trimmed black leotard with a pink skirt belted around it, a pair of similarly coloured thigh-length stockings, steel gloves and boots, and a red-lined black cloak. In her hands was a black axe-like weapon with a yellow spherical jewel set into the head.

"Yup. That tasted purple."

The little group of weirdos traveled farther into the withered and dead landscape, until they came across a village of some description. Flynn can started to become tense as time went on, sweeping his chaingun along his line of sight to avoid being caught of guard. If zombies had one frightening aspect it was their ability to get places where you don't want them. But once he had saw the crawlers for the first time, he could not take the danger serious> "Really? You need help with that?! These ones don't even shoot back! This will be a cake walk" If the cakes smelled of the dead.

Sadly it was more complicated than that. It seem there were these "Zones" scattered across the land with different effects. Naturally the marine had to wonder why these things even existed. It seemed so... arbitrary, without any real purpose. If Sarah could summon them then obviously magic did exist here, but then why the zones. It was too late now, though, and he might as well take advantage of them if the zombies were going to. He leveled his chaingun toward the three nearest zombies and readied to turn them back into corpses before some of the others attacked them first. This game him a chance to observe their fighting styles.

The flying red white girl, or Reimu as their host had called her, unleashed what seemed to be some sort of magic onto the zombies at a very impressive spreed, thought it didn't seemed to be focused toward the target as much as the target everything around it. The little girl with the horns who seemed to know Reimu staggered up to one and punched it, knocking it around with strength far more than any little girl Flynn ever knew. It was a kind of battle tactic that he could approve. The girl in the old arm threw her axe at the zombie, only for it to return to her hands. It was easy to assume her whole fighting style resolved around her axe.

So that was three zombies down, so sweat of his brow. But now they had the horde's attention. "More than three hundred?" He parroted the blue haired girl, wicked smile on his helmeted face "Good. It's a target rich environment" He pointed the chaingun into the horde, some of them walking like the shambling monster they are, others taking the fly zone to go over them, thought it was rather humorous to watch them bumble ungracefully towards him. The gun's barrels began to whirl, spinning faster and faster until the loud bark of rapid fire weaponry sounded out and let loose a hail of bullets into the zombies and spent casings off to the side (the doom guy was nice enough to not have them hot shells hit one of the other people), their soft bodies even allowing the bullets to go through and take out multiple targets.

Sadly, it seemed that a majority of the other people stuck here were melee fighters, and the Doom Guy's firing lanes began to get clustered, especially when the little girl with horns turned into a huge girl with horns. He didn't exactly want to shoot these people in the back. "Hey, I'm working here, don't get in the way of an artist" Well, he didn't really think of himself as an artist, but it sounded cooled. Maybe he should have said hunter? Meh, too late now. While he was reluctant to try it out, Flynn jumped into the air and kind of hovered there, finding it surprisingly easy. He maneuvered into position and fired back into the horde, while one aggressive zombie that thought it could clever by trying to rush to him was rewarded with a boot to it's face, crushing the rotted skull in and splatting brain mush on the size 12s.

Zombies were falling from the sky, falling to the ground, falling to pieces. The attacks were devastating to the rather unimpressive creatures, really.

Some people didn't seem to be enjoying flight, and certainly the fact the zombies were flying was rather weird and, if everyone here weren't fairly seasoned fighters, rather terrifying. Of course, also being able to fly kind of took some of that edge off.

It didn't seem as though there was an end, as the heroes were able to take down over three quarters of the current horde before them, more were making themselves known.

"Hmph! This is more like a huge chore!" Ivankov declared, crossing his arms, "So many of them," He dashed forward and stopped a short distance in front of the horde, "DEATH WINK!" He slammed shut one eye and suddenly a hole was created through the horde where a number of zombies were destroyed.

Jessica sighed, "Screw this, they aren't even moving very fast, and I have meds at least..." She ran forward and jumped up, trying out the flying thing. She'd always wanted to fly a helicopter, and look at this... she was floating. Without any sort of assistance, "This is too weird..." She shook her head, before flying forward and into the group that was in the air. She reared back her fist and began punching a couple of them to death, aiming for the heads since that seems to work better. She took down every zombie in one hit, crushing each head, but it was taking her longer than the others who could take out groups in single attacks, "That damn summoner better be able to get me my damn weapons," she muttered.

The total number of zombies had doubled with the included extras. Though, there didn't seem to be any more in the village, or at least that's what those who were in the air would notice.

Reimu's spell-card, despite its gain in lethality, ended, which left her in the middle of a horde of angry zombies. There was a little breathing room bought by the last round of amulets' taking out rather a lot but, ultimately, they would overwhelm and eat her. If she hadn't had just the thing to take out a massive, massive chunk of them...

"Divine Arts 'Omnidirectional Dragon Slaying Circle'," the miko said, smirking. A second later... and the sky around her began to clear.*

More zombies? Killing them was a simple matter. Suika simply swung one massive hand and swatted dozens out of the sky. The few that survived being hit ended up shredded by Reimu's spell card, slapped right into the danmaku.

Suika was enjoying this.

An American with a yellow flak jacket, no shirt, teal pants, combat boots, and a long forelock of blond hair protruding from the rest of his hair charged into the fray. He slowed down enough to give a powerful side kick to one zombie, then crouched a moment.

"Somersault Kick!" said the man, speaking English in a Japanese accent.*

He performed a backflipping kick, and from his right foot flew a wave of teal energy. If the kick itself missed, the wave of ki certainly wouldn't.

So now the zombies were getting reinforcements and the horde had gotten even bigger than before. No biggie, that just means they'll be more tightly packed. Flynn let out a few more blasts from the chaingun to take down a few closer by enemies before putting it away. Like Stone he was worried that constant use of the gun would lead to him running out of ammo, though unlike the cop the marine wasn't a wuss and carried what had to be 30 pounds of extra bullets and did not include the shells, rockets, and plasma cells. As he put the chain gun in place he then pulled out his trusty rocket launcher, a big gun that tended to put big holes in things. It wasn't the big gun but it would do. Besides, everyone else was upping themselves and he didn't want to be left out.

Pointing the launcher into the horde (and a healthy distance from the others to avoid shrapnel friendly fire) Flynn began fire a hail of rockets into the zombies with a THUMP and soon after there was a rain of blood and arrant body parts, and what wasn't destroyed in the explosion was torn apart by either the shrapnel or the pressure wave, though their organs were already mush so the wave mostly just knocked them over. The Doom Marine was actually beginning to wonder where these bodies were coming from, but it was much funner to not care and just turn the undead into chunky sauce.

Large orbs, giant fists, Rockets, and Mascara were putting an end to the zombies rather quickly. Despite the sheer number of them, they were beginning to become quite loose in number. There didn't seem to be any new ones coming behind the second half of the horde, and with the sheer amount of destruction being caused by the multitude of attacks they were thinning down to just a couple dozen zombies.

Ivankov had started dancing, finding it more entertaining than fighting zombies now that there were rockets and other huge and flashy attacks, "YEAH~! Someone end this on a flashy note!"

"Nearly done," Jessica stated, wiping sweat off her brow. She had just finished fighting a zombie and there didn't seem to be any other important aspects to this fight. She decided to let the big hitters finish off the small group that was left. Surely someone else had a more interesting way to finish off this fight. She had always been a fan of ending her own fights with a bang, and didn't personally have any of her more fun tools. This was beginning to bug her more and more since others seemed to be summoned with their weapons. She planned on getting a private conversation going with that little girl...

Charlie realized he had the opportunity to finish this fight. He summoned ki into his left hand, and held it back in a fist.

"Sonic...Break!" yelled the soldier as he unleashed a string of punches and kicks. With each strike, he unleashed a spinning moon-shaped blast of ki capable of taking down any zombies it hit. He sent one towards every remaining zombie before stopping and waiting to see them hit.

The Scout hit another zombie with his metal baseball bat- which, at this point, was half covered in blood- grinning. He soon jumped into the air, cheering:

"And the crowd goes wild!"

Aang, meanwhile, continued to dodge every zombie that charged at him- but now, he used his earthbending abilities to trap them underground- opening a hole under them, waiting for them to fal on it then closing the hole, leaving only their heads out:

With the last of the zombies having been defeated, there was a sound like someone being slapped really hard.

"Ah! Wow, you guys sure work fast huh?" The little girl who summoned them appeared, and yawned before stretching, "Ah, that nap was decent. So, you guys took out those zombies easy enough, huh?" She giggled, "I knew I made the right choices! You guys are great!"

"Alright, so, it's getting late now, so you guys should probably settle down in this village here for the night. Sorry that I don't have better accommodations for you!" She smiled brightly, "Also if anyone has any further questions I can attempt my best at answering them!" She kind of floated along, apparently using the Zone to her advantage to laze about on thin air, appearing like she was laying down.

Looking over the hundreds of broken bodies, it seemed that the horde had been destroyed and what few left were shambling off into the distance. The space marine gave one last sweep across the horizon before putting away his rocket launcher, though still keeping his other hand hovering over his pistol, should something else show up late for the party. But for now it was safe enough to wind down and think about just how he was going to get out of this hellhole. He already escaped one and almost did it a second time before winding up here, it just took the right know how.

Sarah had shown her face again once the fighting was over, getting a stink eye from Flynn when she revealed that she had been taking a nap while they fought "Well good for you" He said while landing on the ground and wiping his boot on some dirt that was still guts free. But she really got his attention when she announced they would be stay here tonight. Not only was the village busted up from the combination of zombie invasion and their own attack, but it looked poorly defensible and is going to smell rancid in the morning from all of dead. Hell, it already smell horrible, that was reason enough for him to go somewhere else.

"Is there anywhere we can restock our ammo?" Doom Guy asked the magical girl, since he didn't want to run out and the others certainly didn't carry as much kit as he did "or get drunk?" That was the important part.

Not listening to the others, Harpuia took a look at the carnage they have wrought. Mountains of corpses (ZOMBIE CORPSES) filled the field, almost as a testament to their group's abilities.

Not bad, He thought. Although, if the Rekku Army was here, it is likely we would yield the same result.

He turned around when he heard Sarah taking questions. "I have a bad feeling. That was far too easy for you to summon us here. Even a small, well-equipped army should have no trouble taking care of these peons. There's worse to come, isn't there?"
