Huh, I mean like Gandalf vs Voldemart? Unless you're picking two of them?

Cthulhu, though the Tralfamadorians will be perfectly reconciled to their loss before the fight happens and so make the victory meaningless.

Todd Andrews versus Willy Loman.

Todd wins, indecisive but at least his death is not inevitable from the title.

FATHER CHRISTMAS. I mean he's badass Santa with a magic sled that hands out weapons for presents and, like all Santas, is partially based on Odin.

Sadako or Carrie

Carrie I guess, though only in the novels. In films I'd vote the other way.

Sounder vs Shiloh, duck retrieving.

Sounder because no one else would say anything.

Percy Jackson vs Edward Cullen.

And Gandalf vs Voldemart is still unanswered.

Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White, or just Olorin the Maia?

Voldemort got killed and that turned him into a creepy baby-monster, after a lot of work. Gandalf got killed and that just got him Super Saiyan. No contest.

Gandalf didn't have an inherent ability to come back to life — the Valar or Eru restored him. However, Gandalf the Grey defeated a Balrog. Gandalf the White would probably be able to do that without dying, and Voldemort would be less of a challenge.

Much as I'd like it to be Gandalf, Voldemort has a much more diverse power set than Gandalf, who has comparatively basic spells at his disposal. Voldemort wins, assuming Gandalf can't just repeat the resurrection trick indefinitely.

Except for 4/1/2011. That day lingers in my memory like...metaphor here...I should go.

WHOA! Can you please pothole to the series the character you are referring from is?

Also, to make things simple, you must answer the previous challenge before launching yours, and no more than one post should be spent discussing a challenge, this is like speed chess :D

The guy above me already answered his challenge, without posting one of his own. I say Gandalf, because G and company could probably resist the imperious curse, much like they successfully resisted the ring.

[up] Or, alternatively, the Heart of Gold uses the Improbability Drive (likely while trying to do something else) and turns the Enterprise and all aboard into a large tin of anchovies and one white rose.

[up][up][up] Well considering there are quite a few fictional USS Enterprise's it might have been good to specify. If they all had a big free for all I reckon the one captained by a goateed Vulcan would win. Cos.

So could anyone answer my previous question about Yossarian vs Pechorin?
