Chris was slightly taken aback by Link's bow. Not quite sure how to respond, the simply replied, "Hey."
After watching Daniel's exchange with Link, Chris thought, An intelligent zombie...who knew?
"So...now what? We wait for this 'test'?"
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Hello. This is a friendly reminder that the next test will begin in...[7 minutes]. You can all hear the whirring of gears and you can her panels slding against each other as GlaDOS continues. Please direct your attention to the Clock Tower to recieve a briefing of your first test.
On the clock tower, you see a projection appear that shows a man
◊ who seems to be in his early forties with thinning, light brown hair. A booming voice eminates from the speakers which you still haven not been able to locate (if you were looking for them).
"Hello there! Cave Johnson here. How are you all liking Happy Fun Town so far?" He pauses a moment. "That's great. Glad to hear it." He pauses for another moment and laughs. "Haha, no, I'm sorry to say you can't stay here forever. We have so much more science to do!" He clears his throat and reads from a piece of paper: "This first test will be an examination of your searching skills. There is a golden object located somewhere in this town. The first one to find it and bring it back to the Town Square..." he looks back at the viewer and says, "That's where you are now," He resumes reading, "Will win a prize. And there's no better prize that a sur-prize. Look at camera and smile." He stares at the paper for a moment before quickly tossing it away, then looking back up and smiling at the viewer. "Happy hunting Folks! And remember, Science isn't about Why, it's about Why Not."
The projection turns off and the GlaDOS's voice returns. I hate him. Find the Golden Object and bring it back here. The first one to return wins a prize.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. The young Hillyan stared at the other people in the "Happy Fun Town". He had never seen something like the projection of Cave Johnson on the clock tower, so he was somewhat scared. How could someone appear to be so big? And how was he talking with them? Was he inside the clock tower? He continued to stare at the others in an extremely awkward silence. Link almost expected one of them to just run away towards some random direction, searching for the golden object. He wanted to do that, but for some reason he thought it would be more respectful if he was the second one to dash off.
Chris glared at the spot where Cave Johnson's projection used to be. He was only vagule aware of Ty Lee cartwheeling away.
"God I hate Scavenger Hunts..." he grumbled. "Go here, get this, put it in this other thing to get this..." He shook his head as we walked off in another direction, toward one of the residential-looking buildings.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Link then shrugged as he watched Chris walk away complaining, then gave the others a respectful bow before walking towards another direction, into what looked like the small commercial section of the "Happy Fun Town". The Hyllian was used to "scavenger hunts", as Chris called them. In fact, Link remembers some parts of his quest with Midna becoming scavenger hunts: get to an unreachable area, go back, get an acessory, go past that area, find an item for someone...
Chris knocked on a door before opting to simply break it down. The first thing that struck him was that thre didn't seem to be too much dust on any oif the surfaces in the house. That meant that something had lived here until recently. He reached for his gun once more, and facepalmed when he realized that he still didn't have it. But he felt something else in his pocket: his trusty lighter and a pack of smokes.
This could come in handy...
The buildings in the commercial district seemed to go on for a bit before terminating abruptly. The area around the twon seemed to go on for miles in all directions. Link could see that there were several storefronts in this area, purporting to sell anything from liquor to fine dining to video games and books.
Ty Lee found nothing more than dust bunnies and a spool of thread under the bed. The thread wasn't even colored gold.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

Ty Lee shook her head in response.
