Signups.

OK, So here we are. If there's no objections I think I'll kick this off on Saturday and we'll see where things go from there.

'ello, 'ello, 'ello!

I know I've been asking so much, but will the Regia Aeronautica show up at any point to stir up trouble?

Depends how much of a Curb-Stomp Battle you want. Plus we may be in the wrong place for that, at least for the first arc.

Ah, I see. I was merely curious since it's one of those things you don't hear about that often.

Ten comparatively obsolete bombers and escort? Easy.

Also, we might not be in the wrong place. They attacked Harwich, we're at Manston.

I was going t say "tutorial level?" but then I remembered that they came in relatively late.

Also, the CR.42 could apparently maneouvre just as well as the Spitfire and Hurricane, though in a climbing dogfight it presumably suffered.

Tutorial Level is what Convoy Duty is for. Break everyone in easily until we hit Adlertag.

Resident Anglo-Chinese pilot reporting for duty! Also, as long as it's not a 20-hour tutorial (*cough*Final Fantasy XIII*cough*) level, it's all good..

It's not strictly a tutorial since we all know how to roleplay. It's more a chance for everyone to get into the game and get some interaction going before I throw the bombers at you en masse.

You know, I just happened to think... what aircraft are we flying? Spitfires, Hurricanes, Defiants, Blenheims, Gladiators?

Spitfires.

Ia's to start with, moving to Vc's and IX's later on in the war.

Spitfires? Awesome. To what degree do individual pilots have freedom to have some kind of personal insignia? Meaning that I recall American pilots had individual insignia near the nose or cockpit, but am not sure about the RAF. I know that such things were taboo more or less in the Japanese forces, but that's neither here nor there.

I don't know what the deal with noseart is here. Although since it's entirely possible for you to not end up in "your" aircraft due to servicing, I wouldn't recommend it.

Just curious, that's all. WW II is an area of historical interest for me, but I admit that my knoweldge is more of the German, Soviet and Japanese sides.

Actually, it was uncommon in the RAF. Although every Lancaster seems to have it.

Awwww, Spitfires?

Yeah, nose art wasn't quite as widespread in the RAF but you did see it. Maple Leafs, Vs for Victory, squadron insignia, naked chicks.

I still maintain that exact brand of Nose Art is an Americanism.
