First things first, that is a strangely cool name for something that annoyed me so much.

Second of all: Really? another power-outage? what is it with this year? at least I wasn't in CT for the Nor'easter that broke the ENTIRE state.

Power's still out, so I'm on campus, I don't know if the campus is running off of generators or is on a different grid. Anyone else affected by this? hear about this?

yeah, people in Boston, not as criminal as the movies led us to believe.

More news cause why not?

I've seen this pop up on other national news sources

So Power has been restored to roughly 17000 customers out of 21000.

Guess who still doesn't have power?

She's probably got her own nuclear power plant. Woman could afford it.

They're now claiming Power back by noon.

Of course it was originally 8:30 am yesterday, then 8:30pm yesterday then some point over the night.

See I didn't know there was a blackout. Further proof that yes, my school is not "in Boston".

With the wealthiness of Back Bay I would have normally said "Oh, I'm sure everyone's fine", but I'm not sure how common generators actually are there...

Wealthy part coincidentally got power back yesterday afternoon. The big hit is to the small businesses. Heck even the bigger ones have hemorrhaged money in terms of having to throw out perishables and losing 2 days of business.

Depressingly last I looked the Pru-Tower was still dark. For those not in the area it is the tallest building in the Back Bay Neighborhood and I'm pretty sure the tallest one in Boston (if not it's close, I rarely bother with collecting trivia) but it's also one of the more famous buildings too. Heck I use it as a landmark if I get lost in the city. Seeing it blacked out is just Weird.

Oh god, Prudential was in it too? I...wow. I tend to forget that's it's even possible for such buildings to lose power. Well, I hope everything recovers soon enough.

My sister works in the Back Bay area and got caught in it - she actually had to "work" in a powerless building yesterday, supposedly to keep away looters.

Pru's out still tonight, Christian Science center has light but I've noticed some frayed nerves as well, one guy flipped the fuck out because someone moved his cup of coffee (that he had seemingly abandoned), I know I'm shot I haven't slept well since we lost power because of constant sirens up and down, flashing lights from the cops at the intersections, and last night knowing kids were using candles and that the central alarm was out so I'd have to listen for an apartment alarm or knocking at the door.

It's also cold in my bedroom.
