I still like the way 2012 used him despite how little appearances he had
Prettiest Meta Knight Gijinka, nglI'm gonna be honest, when the doctor first became the 2012 Rat King, I didn't pick up that he was blind at first, because he seemed to be able to see just fine, but it turns out that was only because he could see through the eyes of the rat he kept on his shoulder.
And now I have this weird mental image of 2012 Rat King constantly making blind jokes about himself like he's Toph from Avatar.

No, as Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kept the Turtles pupiless.
Even 2k3 eventually gave the Turtles pupils in its Back to the Sewer season, reflecting an art style shift somewhat inspired by the 2007 film.
Every other series after has done the pupiless look as both a Mythology Gag, and showing the Turtles being more serious in a particular scene.
So I was at Walmart yesterday, and I saw Mutant Mayhem branded pizza right next to the Stranger Things pizzas.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Watched the first episode of Rise with my four-year-old again, while the wife was in the same room. She started absentmindedly following it, to humour the kid. Then she started watching more closely, and enjoyed herself. During the big fight with Draxum she laughed about the gags and wordplay and said: "This is so stupid, and clever". I think it's a pretty apt description of Turtles in general.

Caught episode 13, and now watching 14.
So Splinter is Lou Jitsu? He's literally their father in this universe? Is his name even Hamato Yoshi in this universe (with Lou Jitsu being his screen name?
Meanwhile, returning DV Ds s hard, even in an era when DV Ds are barely a thing anymore.
Edit: Also, props for the best evil version of a Modern Major General ever.

One Strip! One Strip! Not animated, but the Shredder's Revenge game apparently has a new DLC out now. It appears that its once again doing the turtles save the multiverse story that was originated by Turtles Forever, and then imitated by other versions.
Interestingly, Karai is in this game. However, she appears to have the design of the 4kids version. Which makes some sense, since Karai never appeared in the 80s cartoon.

Alright. Episode 16 of Rise is down. The Reveal of the Shredder's Armour, and the team-up between Draxum and the Foot Clan, as well as Splinter's identity of Lou Jitsu is out in the open.
I suppose, now the real plot starts.
Edit: Episode 17 down. Leo still sucks with his Warp sword, and April learns Worm dude is a jerk on her birthday.
Also, turns out the Green Goblin is also a Warring Warrior Scientist.
Nice touch using Spider-Man The Animated Series Goblin and Spectacular Spider-Man Goblin as movie Goblin's cronies. Got a chuckle out of me.

One Strip! One Strip!Double post. Downed a few more episodes and just finished episode 19.
Draxum now runs the Foot Clan. Hoping to learn the name of the Recruit soon. Like, I'm 90% sure she's Karai, but we'll see soon enough.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm preeettty sure I know the character you're speaking of and the twist about her. I gave rise a shot when it was new but it never clicked with me. Still I paid attention to reviews and spoilers even after I quit watching.
I'm glad to see people enjoying it though. The cool thing about TMNT is that it's had so many incarnations, what doesn't work for one person may be the favorite of another.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532Right. Accidentally spoiled myself on Foot Recruit's identity.
The funny thing is, I remember reading somewhere that she was Casey Jones, but forgot it until I started watching the series. And then it kinda came back to me but I wasn't sure (especially since the movie brings in a more traditional Casey). I also kept watching a music video of the finale battle where she's swinging a hockey stick which is not exactly a Karai style weapon. Finally, I saw a youtube header that showed her name (though I didn't watch that video) and that was it so I checked out her section on the ROTTMNT trope page and learned that she's the mom of the future Casey that will appear in the movie.
So that's that. Still more to enjoy though.

One Strip! One Strip!Finished the first season.
Draxum is rather blind to the possibility that the threat he's trying to stop is in fact, the Shredder, but I suspect he'll realize that soon enough, since he's going to switch sides in season 2.
Speaking of.....is season 2 not on Netflix? Like, I could have sworn I saw it there before, and I was ready to start it, but it's suddenly not on the list of episodes, even though I know I saw it when I started watching.
And like, the movie is there, but not season 2?
One Strip! One Strip!Double post.
Decided to employ Perfectly Legal Means to get to season 2.
Watched the season premiere (and also Lair Games / Flushed Away, which was listed first for some reason).
This version of Leo is more than a little obnoxious....but I'm seeing those seeds of leadership with this as well. He had everything pretty well scouted.
One Strip! One Strip!
His more traditional role in the franchise is subtly foreshadowed very early on. It's clear in many scenes that he can be very good at dealing with sibling relations, especially at motivating the others to follow a particular course. But he is much more immature and lazy than most other Leonardos, which is refreshing, as he has to grow closer to the role he usually has. For the same reason I enjoy a lot how Raph's role has been altered, particularly how protective he is of Mikey.

the spin-off tv series
Details reveal each episode will focus on individual adventures for the group, though they will ally with other characters in their solo adventures
Learn how to name stuff, whoever owns Turtles. Not only was Out of the Shadows already taken before you decided to name your unrelated live action sequel that, but Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was already used for Season 5 of the 2012 series.

I wonder if the live-action films' actors (such as Brian Tochi, Robbie Rist, Corey Feldman, Josh Pais, Kevin Clash, etc.) or the 2007 film's voice actors (such as James Arnold Taylor, Mitchell Whitfield, Mikey Kelley, Nolan North, etc.) will make cameo appearances for Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and/or the Mutant Mayhem sequel. Any ideas?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.
Maybe we would also have the 1987, 2012, and Rise voice actors have voice roles in the continuity also. 2012 already had the 1987 voices return (either as alternate world counterparts or as April's fake mom in Renae Jacobs' case) and Rise got some of the 2012 voices in voice roles (Seth Green, Rob Paulsen, Greg Cipes, Hoon Lee, Nolan North, Christian Lanz, Eric Bauza, Fred Tatasciore, Zeda Williams) so there's a chance something in the Mutant Mayhem continuity will bring previous V As back.

It seems the 2012 adaption and a Id W are the only times he got to be prominent. And despite how amazingly creepy he was in the former. They still wasted him with only three if very chilling appearances.
