Decided to repost since being bottom-paged is inconvenient. The trailer has been officially uploaded:
Watch the new teaser trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: #Mutant Mayhem - Only in theatres August 4, 2023.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
I'm not particulary versed with TMNT, but I am absolutely here for Spider-Verse inspired animation more and more becomming the norm. And not just imitations of it but actually individual takes on it with distinctive art styles.
And at least based on my limited exposure to the Turtles in the past, was this trailer the first time they felt like actual teenagers to me.
They've really been using too many adults to voice the turtles in previous installments. The turtles sound weirdly young and I know they're voiced by real teens. Dawson Casting really warped my perspective.
That joke about the ooze at the end: I remember back in the second live action film, Secret of the Ooze, Keno heard their story and said "So you guys got slimed," and the turtles, Raph especially, seemed to take offense to that, angrily saying, "It wasn't slime, it was ooze."

I kinda hope we get a Thanos thing for Shredder as Andre the black nerd theorized. Where he'll be a looming presence but his minions like Stockman, Karai, etc. Will serve as individual arc villains before at the end he finally arrives to kick ass.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Is Donny's voice female?
Edit: Never mind. Looked up Micah Abby. I figured it was either female voice or just really young voice actor.
Now I know.

One Strip! One Strip! If you downright dismissed a big part of the cast as "pitfalls" that means you're not the target audience.
Imagine if I said that The Batman cartoon did a good job avoiding using guys like Two-Face or Zsasz because those two don't have super powers or gimmicky weapons, they're not really supervillains, right?
......I Mean this is a toy based franchise ? Thats kinda the aim at the end of the day.
I also don't get that. Considering the main characters are mutants and the series has always used a diverse set of concepts.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."

It’s actually kinda refreshing to hear the turtles voiced by actual teenagers this time.
