Hmm. Invulnerable robot. Squishy brain.

PUNCH THE ROBOT!

Seriously though, that was a little... odd. Even in a bloodless world, you'd think they'd bludgeon it off of the thing.

Remember, kids, if you see a brain out of its body in real life, don't ever hit it! It might be alive, just like these ones!

Yeah this censorship is a bit annoying, I mean I know they can't cut up the Kraangs but can't they whack them on the head or something? That fight scene made me cringe.

I mean, they didn't even try to pull the thing off. They just... ignored it.

@Handsome Rob. I heard somewhere that Kraangs die mere moments after they leave their mechanical skeletons.

Really?

I haven't read much supplementary material, so I haven't heard that one.

Are you sure?

Its from the TMNT 2012 Fanbook/Yearbook. It claims Kraangs want to make earth's atmosphere suitable for their kind, killing humanity.

When April said "it's dangerous to stand between me and my father" I just remembered that in this show she is getting her own character arc. Has that ever happened before? April is around in pretty much every incarnation of the Turtles but aside from hookig up with Casey Jones I can't think of any instances of actual character growth from her.

[up]I think I have read the original comics continuity, late in its run, retconned her into a drawing given life (?). I figure that must have brought some development, although it sounds like a collossaly stupid idea.

It depends on what you mean by "character arc". The 2003 toon had a season 2 subplot about her re-opening the store and moving out of the turtles' lair (referenced in "The Ultimate Ninja", "The Return of Nano", "City at War" and ending with "April's Artifact"), as well as the two August O'Neil stories. More broadly, there's the story about her deciding what she's going to do with her life, which begins after she loses her job with Stocktronics and has an ending of sorts when its revealed that her eventually co-founds O'Neil Tech. There's also her Archie comics mini-series where she's fired from her job and becomes a freelance reporter.

Speaking of Casey, you reckon they'll have him use his sports arsenal, or only the hockey stick?

You know, Donnie would benefit greatly from at least having a laser mounted on that Bo-staff. Nothing fancy, but he was going somewhere with that rocket launcher but it's just too much.

The good news is that they start showing this on television next Sunday over here in the Netherlands.

The bad news it's probably a Dutch dub, and Dutch dubs suck.

Cool interview with Rob Paulsen, where he talks about voicing Donatello instead of Raphael this time around.

I just realised that we are living in a world where My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Transformers are suddenly relevant again.

It's the eighties! With i-Phones!

This must truly be the best of all possible worlds.

Didn't Amid Amidi infamously slam one Hasbro exec who helmed a lot of those bad 80's toy shows, then disappeared during the Wild West era in the 90's, then R Eappeared by bringing back adaptations now that Hasbro is big enough to get their own channel!?!

Well, I finally thought of a secondary melee weapon for Leo: a kanabo.
