Really?
I haven't read much supplementary material, so I haven't heard that one.
Are you sure?
One Strip! One Strip! When April said "it's dangerous to stand between me and my father" I just remembered that in this show she is getting her own character arc. Has that ever happened before? April is around in pretty much every incarnation of the Turtles but aside from hookig up with Casey Jones I can't think of any instances of actual character growth from her.

It depends on what you mean by "character arc". The 2003 toon had a season 2 subplot about her re-opening the store and moving out of the turtles' lair (referenced in "The Ultimate Ninja", "The Return of Nano", "City at War" and ending with "April's Artifact"), as well as the two August O'Neil stories. More broadly, there's the story about her deciding what she's going to do with her life, which begins after she loses her job with Stocktronics and has an ending of sorts when its revealed that her eventually co-founds O'Neil Tech. There's also her Archie comics mini-series where she's fired from her job and becomes a freelance reporter.

Cool interview with Rob Paulsen, where he talks about voicing Donatello instead of Raphael this time around.
Didn't Amid Amidi infamously slam one Hasbro exec who helmed a lot of those bad 80's toy shows, then disappeared during the Wild West era in the 90's, then R Eappeared by bringing back adaptations now that Hasbro is big enough to get their own channel!?!

Hmm. Invulnerable robot. Squishy brain.
...
PUNCH THE ROBOT!
Seriously though, that was a little... odd. Even in a bloodless world, you'd think they'd bludgeon it off of the thing.
