I remember one time in the 2012 series, Shredder just rode a motorcycle down the street, with his entourage following behind, in full view of everyone, on his way to a meeting with a mob boss. Either no one in New York cared about how weird that was, or New York was somehow just empty of people that day.
The Thread title is Nick's TMNT, but this is more of a General Turtles thread, and as far as I know, it's the only thread dedicated to Ninja Turtles, so I'm wondering if changing the thread title would be a good idea or not.

Oh yeah, my mistake.
My favorite line from that episode was Xever saying he'll deal with the Turtles later, angrily calling them freaks.
It might as well be. Viacom has own Mirage Studios since 2009, so Nick's name has been attached to pretty much everything Turtles-related. This includes Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Injustice 2, IDW Comics, and the upcoming 80s-inspired Shredder's Revenge game.
The 2003 series, though it predates the buyout, is currently a Paramount+ streaming title.

Even on iTunes, 2003 is labelled under Nickelodeon's brand.
Anyways, I finished Rise and I really enjoyed it. It was really silly and the action was well choreographed. The production values were great to and flowed smoothly. My biggest gripe it was true to none source materials. Without the name, it could have sacrificed little and have been the same show. I won't deny that brands sell and I am guilty of giving into them.

Actually it still is rooted in too much TMNT lore to actually call it "change name and not much would be lost". Some traditions have been removed and others have been reworked and shaked up but a lot of the standard fare mythology is there
Right, from the comics only the general backstory of the turtles' mutation was kept entirely intact, everything before and after is radically changed

Honestly I feel like the lack of fidelity to prior shows shows how malleable the franchise is.
I feel like you can tell almost any story with it. Though the 1987 cartoon, as mentioned, also really had nothing to do with the comics. I think almost all of the material have nothing to do with the comics.
Even the 2003 cartoon, which was generally more faithful to the comics (due to Peter Laird, IIRC, being an executive producer) still heavily diverged with its additions. It's basically a wholly unique story by at least Season 3, and even back in Season 1 still heavily diverged due to several stories being reworked to keep the Foot Clan relevant.
Though granted, I consider Rise to basically be an adaptation of Season 5 of the 2003 series, due to the mystic weapons, heavy emphasis on the supernatural underbelly, and use of a Demon Shredder and his cult.

It's a serious step down from the 1st movie, but nonetheless, it still captures the TMNT's spirit. That, I can still unironically enjoy the movie.
I have to thoroughly disagree with that. 2K TMNT & ROTTMNT have 2 massive different atmospheres & one of them was far more committed to its gimmick & the other was sadly a sign of Seasonal Rot
A couple of things:
- The first 20 episodes of Rise is now available on Paramount+.
- Straight from Nintendo's Indie World is brand new gameplay of Shredder's Revenge.

I don’t think that’s the case as Season 4 was reasonably liked unlike the last three and has never been made available there and now that the whole series is on Paramount Plus, I think it’s just Nick being odd, especially since Season 2 is missing an episode on iTunes. After all, the 2012 series isn’t on Paramount Plus despite being a Nick series.

Power of Thor!Pluto TV, Viacom's free Internet TV service, is now streaming
Rise of the TMNT on the franchise-dedicated "Totally Turtles" channel (channel 983) every Saturday.
In other WTF news, it looks like we're getting Versus two-packs featuring
the Turtles and…Cobra Kai (and by extension The Karate Kid)?!
What's next, TMNT X Back to the Future?

We did have a John Kreese-styled character in Kristoff Von Bradford, so this is pretty Hilarious in Hindsight
Prettiest Meta Knight Gijinka, nglWith a bit of Jean Claude Van Damme in there, for an alt. version of a character who was originally a Chuck Norris pastiche.
