At the time the first Ninja Turtles cartoon came out they radically changed the tone and plot from that of the original comics. After that show wrapped up it was only a matter of time before another series came along that was actually faithful to the original source material. They had a sort of obligation to put out at least one TMNT series that followed the plot of the comics. The 2000's series did just that. Now this new series is essentially free to do whatever it wants. No one can complain that the series isn't enough like the comic books because there already was one that was just that. That is why this new show is so much FUN, because they can do whatever they want.
Okay. I'll be perfectly honest with you guys...............It's because I want to protect my children (themselves being TMNT fans) by knowing in advance what places on the internet to have them avoid so they wont accidentally uncover such foul, innocence-shattering pictures.

Yeah not buying that. Your not going to find any unless you search for it.
If you are telling the truth don't tell children the site name. It will make them check the site out to find out why you don't want them to go there.
Also we are not telling you any sites as none of us are going to look it up.

You look happy, I can change that if you want.
Oh come on. I'm sure you don't need that much Brain Bleach, especially not from suggestion alone.

As for secondary weapons for Leo and Raph to have, I'd suggest a bokken
for Leo and a jutte
for Raph. If the logic behind Mikey and Donny's alternate weapons would be to have the cutting weapon closest to their signature weapon, then Leo and Raph's alternate weapons should be blunt weapons closest to their signature weapon. The Bokken is of course a wooden blunt sword nominally used for training, but can be an effective weapon in it's own right and one Leo could easily use when he needs blunt force. The Jutte is a blunt weapon that works similarly to a Sai, which make it a weapon Raph could use when he needs to use blunt force.
Raph and Leo do need some weapons that can be used on living things in a kid's show. It gets kinda funny to see them constantly kick or punch to carefully avoid actually drawing blood on an opponent.
Especially in the otherwise mostly dark 2K3 series.

"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, GodfellasTonfas, like Sais, can be held in a myriad of ways and allows the user to changee their grip on the weapon mid battle, so I think tonfas would be a good fit for Raph.
One really weird thing about turtles is the way every incarnation has it's own unique characters that never, or rarely ever, appear in any other continuity. Every new series or movie also gives Shredder a new second in command. The old 80's cartoon had Rocksteady and Bebop, who were basiacly comic relief, showing the light-heartedness of the show. The movies gave him Tatsu, who was a very no-nonsense guy that rarely spoke. The 2000 series gave him Hun, who was competent and dangerous but did have a more light hearted side, showing that even though this show eas mostly serious it could have fun every now and again. This new series let him have Chuck Norris as a second in command, who is apparently going to turn into a mutant later, showing that this series is, um... Willing to turn anyone into a mutant abomination up to and including Daily Show correspondents?

Only Leo, actually. Sais aren't actually meant to be used as stabbing weapons—using them that way requires too much force and precision to be practical.
Avatar art by Lorna-Ka.
That has even worse problems than the swords. Unless he goes full Green Arrow, it'd be even harder to make that bloodless while still being effective.
Besides, we're talking about melee weapons, not projectiles.
"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, Godfellas
No way the censors are going to show them stabbing a sentient brain.
I agree with you, cause I was thinking the same thing myself, but that's how it is.
One Strip! One Strip!

Seems okay to me so far.
Not like the last series, but still good.
I expect it will get better eventually though.
