It's amazing but I haven't read any good thing about the third one... The funny thing is, I kinda like it. Maybe it's just bad taste on my part, but I really love how over the top it goes with its self-awareness. This is like the first two but cranked Up To Eleven ... and I know that's the problem most people have with it.
It also helps that I'm a big fan of Wes Craven. Haven't seen the fourth one though. I have read some very opposite reviews, some seem to love it, others seem to agree upon the fact that it's the worst in the series. To be honest, from the outside, this one seems even more polarizing than 3...
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.I freaking love these films, especially the first one. When it comes to the sequels, 2 was great, 3 was okay but crap compared to the other films, and 4 was pretty good. Those are my opinion's at least.
One of the few things I didn't like about the second one was that they killed off Randy. Funny thing is, one of the few things I actually liked about the third one was the video tape scene with Randy.
I love Scream 1 and Scream 2.
Scream 3 has gotten some undeserved relevance in that you could easily have Lance Henrikson as Harvey Weinstein. But, unfortunately, it's a really crappy movie that knows it's a crappy movie.
The 4th movie was great for attempts to reboot a franchise that has run its' course.
But Nev Campbell is still one of my favorite actresses for this series.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Though, since he WANTS to kill his victims, wouldn't the best idea to trip them up is give them a Morton's Fork where they're too terrified to ask a clarifying question. If they say 'Jason's Mother, Pamela', say they're wrong because Jason is the villain of the franchise as a whole. If they say Jason, call them on Jason not being the villain until the second film. Either way, you get to the slashing. And, if they DO ask for a clarifying question, scream at them to answer the question so they're too terrified to push harder.
I remember reviews when this movie came out saying that the opening sequence with Drew Barrymore was just a note-perfect short film.

God I love this movie. Not the second one, though.
Screams 1, 2, 3 and/or 4. Praise, complaints, general conversation? Let's do this!
