Oh hey, Jinxy, long time no see.
I felt like digging up Ross Scott's blog posts about his experience with working in LA back in 2009:
-I'm honestly amazed Taco Bell can survive out here in light of the competition.
-There seems to be an unspoken stigma here against people who ride the bus. Lucky for me, I don't care.
-An old Indian name for Los Angeles translates to “the valley of smoke.” I consider this more accurate than “the city of angels”
-It's easy to see why there were power shortages here a few years ago when many power lines buzz erratically so loud I'm expecting sparks to be shooting out from them.
-I'm starting to see why some art directors for videogames consider making everything look brown to be realistic.

Coolies? Well, hopefully my little adventures will be at least moderately entertaining to everyone...
Day Two
Day started off good. Had tea with my cereal and on an unrelated subject to LA Adventures the corgi breeder sent me new photos of the puppy I have reserved at some point last night! The puppy's so cyoot... *ahem*
So the list for today was the aquarium instead of San Diego Zoo because frankly we decided it deserved it's own personal trip. This one will be photo-y as there was also a whale watching trip involved as well!
So at the aquarium... Nifty looking through the panels but I got stoked when I saw a touch tank of Banded
◊ Bamboo
◊ Sharks!!
◊ There were spotted bamboo sharks and... that pale one who's species I cannot remember... and a sting ray as well. I love those bamboo sharks
◊ they're so cute. And sand-papery... The ray felt funny. Not soft and smooth like I expected.
EDIT: Gah! I accidentally hit send :X
Anyway, after the sharks we were heading upstairs to a. check out the seals and b... DISCOVER THESE
◊ GUYS.
◊ They would swim up the sides of the touch tank for pettings!! HOW AMAZINGLY ADORABLE IS THAT?! They were like... well petting velvet that had a mucus coating XD Odd sensation but not wholly unpleasent. There were bat rays and... a diamond ray as well. The bat rays were the ones that would swim up the wall splashing about in demands for pets. The diamond ray was all "fft too cool for you".
I couldn't get too many photos inside the aquarium from the inside since it's really dark so the fish can't see us staring at them all googley eyed. I did get some photos though.
Like of these guys:
- Garden
◊ eels!
◊ they're so... tiny! Like smaller than earthworms!
- Here
◊ is a puffin. He did not appeciate the flash photography as he puffed up and swam off after that.
- The sea otter
◊ on the hand didn't give a damn. Granted they got to feast on shrimp not 2 minutes later.
- Coral!
◊ Moar Coral!
◊
- It's
◊ Nemo!I mean it's a clown fish. Yes. - This guy
◊ has spots that glowed. It was sweet.
- An Oceanic horse!
◊ And a Pacific Sea Horse!
◊
- This shot here
◊ was on accident. I just tried to get a side shot of him/her but it dived and made this sweet shot instead!
- Leafy seadragons!
◊
And now for the Whale Watching ocean romp. Most of these photos will suck because I couldn't click fast enough. And I just had awful timing with a short range point-and-click.
SO:
We saw some common
◊ dolphins
◊ right off the bat. There were maybe two or three pods we got to watch. We also saw two grey whales... but well those two didn't come out of the water high enough for me to take photos of, and the Bottlenose dolphins who found us were too quick for me to photograph. Even though one of them swam right next to the boat... that ass disappeared when I grabbed for my camera..
So... Uh, here's some wake
◊ photos
◊ instead.
This
◊ is where I ate lunch. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Yep, from the movie. It was amazing. They had signs and sayings from the movie everywhere. There was a bench out front with Forrest's shoes and suitcase with chocolates for dorky photo-ness. The whole restaurant was themed that way. It was expensive to eat, but pretty darn good food though.
Oh and before I forget... I got a new hat.
◊ At the gift shop at the aquarium....>_>;

Real Life rwby roseThat is one laid-back sea-otter.
Pssst the strikethrough is broken...
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Indeed Dad! Also, I'm glad you approve of my hat. It's quite nice.
Day Three
Day three was spent almost entirely at The Getty. I gigantic art museum in LA. It's got more money in art in one place than basically any other museum in (at least) the U.S. No surprise because they have a whole exhibit on French decor in the 1700's when it was at it's most opulent and ostentatious. Not to mention they have the illuminated manuscripts from the middle ages! oh my God they were amazing. Gold leaf and painstakingly hand painted with- it was absolutely jaw dropping! I spent forever in that room staring at those books!
I got to traverse around looking at the Renaissance paintings and sculptures all through out the ages! It was kind of mind boggling to look at really. Some of those marble carvings are just absurd with how real they seem. It was kind of a doozy to go from that French Decor exhibit (spent a long time running through the rooms) to see LA's down town area outside of the windows. Talk about a time loop.
I would have taken photos but well I don't know why but my dad's little point and click just refused to cooperate and so no pictures. Plus certain places you couldn't take photos.
We ate lunch at this sliightly pretentious restaurant attached to the museum. The food was pretty good. I had braised beef short ribs
◊ and those mashed potatoes were just fantastic. For dessert I had this.
◊ It may look like hot chocolate in a fancy glass but it's not. It's Malibu rum with this blackberry cocoa liqueur type stuff that had an unpronounceable French term. Also the drink was hot LIKE cocoa. It was strong so I barely drank it due to needing to be coordinated for diving through the rest of the museum.
We spent the entire day there digging through the exhibits. I bought a sketchbook and a pencil at the gift shop... OH!! Earlier we were running errands and this amazingly awesome woman from my uncle's work is lending me her fancy french tea set after just hearing that I like tea. I apparently have to read the book included and try some of the tea... and I must guess which tea is the most expensive... Also, she gave everyone cupcakes. I have no idea who this woman is. I've never met her. But she is fucking cool as far as I can tell!
Real Life rwby rose![]()
Yeah, you pretty much look like her.
◊ Yeah, that's Sami Gayle at her Jinxiest.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisLots of things but my camera/ computer was havin' issues.
I spent Thursday all day at Disneyland with Karalora and Ironeye. We got on basically every ride in the park because there was so few people there that day! I also spent all day Saturday with them at the LA Zoo along with Karalora's sister. Friday was dull as I was kinda shuffled around as people went shopping.
Real Life rwby roseThat aquarium is AWESOME. I wanted so badly to take a Bamboo shark and a bat ray home with me.
Also, here's a few
◊ of pictures
◊ of swag
◊ I got at Disneyland. ((As for the fancy clothes, please see the Photos Thread.))

The SEQUEL since... y'know I've been to LA once before >_>;
Day One
I didn't get much sleep as since I've moved out of my parents the cat, who loves me best, was beyond ecstatic I was home. Thus he kept me up all night purring his little heart out.
Anyway, early start to the airport and all... Only thing of note is I sat next to a woman with an infant who, for the most part, was a happy baby. So the screaming was happy screams not... "OMFG GET ME OUTTA HERE" screams.
Day one didn't have much to do as we got there close to lunch time. We went to a restaurant called Jerry's. The best shakes... I tried this item called the "Golden Monte Cristo" I thought it was like a fried sandwich thing but... it was more of an omelette shaped like a sandwich. Ah well... Oh wait, went to the beach and got to walk in the sand and tide. Found a neat chip of a blue shell... and dismembered crustaceans (not sure WHY there were dismembered limbs but...oh well?). I crashed early though. Waaayy early.
Anyway, day one is usually blah. I need to upload photos from my day two adventures to post! :D
