Dragon meido
Try to find by any means BOF 3, you won't be disappointed.
HG 101's article on it seemed a bit focused on the visual aspect of the games and the music, rather than the game itself. That and the guy seemed pissed at the so called Sephiroth Expy, Fou-Lu. I personally liked the game a lot, specially the new artistic design.
IV is on PSN, so it's easy enough to get if you have a PS 3, I can't you help with III though.
BOF 4 is awesome. Fou-lu is awesome too. I can understand not finding it the best in the series, but it's far from terrible.
In Dragon Quarter, I reached 100% on the last boss. No, not the boss where you're supposed to do that, the boss right before that. It kind of sapped my motivation to play it again. Basically, once I started encountering the bosses with that shield thing that forces you to do big combos, I kind of panicked and abused dragon mode on all of them.
Luckily, my brother later played it with me watching, and he had a much more calm and thought out strategy. Essentially, it's a game of resource management. You can use infinite items without spending any time, so it's literally impossible to die unless you run out of items. And there's no reason not to use items since there are no heal points, ever. So it's all about slowly topping yourself off whenever it's your turn and, for the bosses with shields, saving up enough AP to do massive combos. My brother never used Dragon Mode ever. Ever. Well, other than the time they force you to, and on that fight he passed on Ryu's turns.

So, I finally managed to find my old Bo F 2 cartridge! :D
... But my SNES is lacking a power adapter to play TT^TT Oh, well.
Loved that game. Pretty much the first game ever with good, competently written character deaths that I ever played. Like Rand's mom, or that Total Party Kill at the end of the game... DAMN.
Just one question: Was it confirmed at any point that patty was Yua? I honestly can't remember...
The Dragon behind Gate, ie Ryu and Yua's mother, goes Mama Bear to protect Patty. Plus she does scream for her big brother. I'd say that counts as one step below blatantly stating that they are the same person. Not a confirmation but who else is Yua supposed to be when they drop all those hints.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Wow this topic kinda died. So is anyone other than me having troubles playing Breath of Fire 3 after finishing 4? The masters kinda suck and this game's cast lacks the balance that the 4th had. Like I feel so restricted here while pretty much everyone in Breath of Fire 4 is much more flexible in terms in what they can do.

As online mobile game without any of the original devs.

remember back in the old days when standard enemies in jrpgs involved bisected zombies who attack by throwing their guts at you?
i miss that too.
also, you'd think after dragon quarter's 'failure', they'd stick closer to formula this time, but i guess not?
for clarification, i have no issue with it being a mobile game. it has a pc port, so i have ready access to it, and mobile alone doesnt guarantee shitty quality.
im more bothered by the art direction and there being nothing familiar in sight.

Joined the corpse pile that Capcom can rise from the dead for shitty games. Thank god Darkstalkers will remain dead instead of being fucked by Capcom.
And to clarify, most people aren't upset its a mobile game (well...) its that its a SOCIAL game.
AKA Facebook tier. Also no blue haired protagonist.
Christ, what a trend this is becoming... What next?
- Lunar 3 is a Facebook farming game!
- Grandia 4 is a tower defense on your browser!
- Suikoden 6 lets you recruit up to 10 friends a day (with in-app purchases)!

i see.
this is an unfortunate pattern.
good as dragon quarter was, people didnt like how little it had in common with the earlier games...and yet this new game..appears to have even less in common. you'd think they'd backtrack but apparently not.
actually, im getting pretty tired of cutesy enemies? this isnt even something thats been there since the start of the series. cute monsters have their charms, and they have places to be. i dont feel breath of fire is necessarily one of them...id prefer actual wild-live, at least...
rather than more smiley slimes, high mushrooms ect that appear to be in pretty much every jrpg these days...

Was thinking of Downloading Breath Of Fire 2 via my Wii U's Wii emulator.
So basically, since I transferred all my Wii data to my Wii U, I'll use the Wii Shop channel on the Wii emulator of my Wii U. I figure it might be available on the Wii U shop eventually as well, so I can just keep playing it there(if that happens).
I've heard good things, though I slightly regret not being able to play the first game.
For some reason, I'm looking forward to the Nina I vs Nina II throw down.
The reasons are totally honorable decent and I'm not re-imagining it as anything else. No sir.
Damn. Forgot about that.
Well, back to proper thoughts then.
Still might get it, just got to get on with it.
One Strip! One Strip!I think this is way to gauge the fans and see if Breath of Fire is worth bringing back. As much as hate Capcom I'll admit that they are not in a good state right know and it make sense for them to play it safe instead of wasting a huge amount of money on something that might not sell well. Hopefully if this gets enough interest they will make something closer to the older games.
