Don't forget to write down all the bomb passwords. They are randomly generated in each playthrough on new game files.

Don't worry, I did.

Even if I forgot, I'd be able o jump back to the scenes where they were spoken.

As for what endings I've got? Dio, Tenmyouji, Alice, Sigma, and Quark, in that order.

Strange thing is, the Quark ending wasn't very Quark-focused.

And I think I now have three of the four inputs I need for the two-headed lion. Also, to speak to some conclusions I've drawn so far: Tenmyouji is clearly Junpei, the old lady is Akane, the time-traveler count is up to four, and we're not on the Moon. We're on Mars.

Anyway, I'm now on Yellow Door —> Betray. That's the last round one branch I haven't done yet. Should net me more answers, and perhaps the last Nineth Lion input.

edit:

Okay, make that five potential time travelers, because how the heck else could Tenmyouji's vote have changed when the only variable was my vote?

[up][up]What? No they aren't. They're made up of coded words, so they have to always be the same.

Seriously, Enlong. Don't read this spoiler. It's a little joke that my little brother pulled on me when I first played the game. I finished it without ever knowing.

Just finished the Clover and K endings. Two remain.

After a few endings that started to explain things, the game takes a sudden jump up on the "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" meter again.

But now, I can finally get past the lion code. Maybe now things will clear up.

WHAT?!

[up]Oh, god, I remember that one. When I first saw Luna, I was seriously annoyed by her because of reasons, but after that ending, I seriously wanted her to live so bad.

...it just occurred to me why Luna was so keen on having me scanned, to check if I was a robot. I think... I think she was hoping against hope that I was a robot, because then she'd have someone who could truly understand her...

...Oh my lord. I think I just figured out the purpose behind this iteration of the Nonary Game! It took me 8 endings to figure out, but I think I might know.

It would explain why Dio was allowed in, why mos of the characters were taken before the pandemic, why Luna and had codes for Sigma, why Alice and Clover were taken, and... almost everything! (except the termite speech).

The old woman (who is totally Akane), and her parter, earned of the future events through her psychic link to Tenmyouji (totally Junpei). Through this, she learned of the pandemic before it was released on the 31st. This whole set-up is to create a situation in which Sigma and Phi would be forced to develop their ability to perform Mental Time Travel, in order to survive. The Ambidex Game setup would force him to alter his choices to get through, and Dio's treachery was similarly perfect for forcing multiple "playthroughs". The purpose? Well, this is a theory, but what if a sufficiently powerful Sigma could travel further back than the start of the Nonary Game? Like, way further back. As in, back to December 25th, 2028? With future knowledge of the pandemic, and the Myrmidons, then perhaps the disaster could be averted.

This is all speculation, and some of it is born of a heaping dose of hope for a happy ending, but it would make sense, I think.

Still though. Who is Zero? Or Zero Sr if you go by the naming conventions in-game. *mysterious noises*

Zero Jr. Or I guess I should say Zero II... Zero, the Second Of His Name?

Anyway, that guy.

Well, from the Tenmyouji ending and Luna ending... that hologram that purports to be Zero II... I'm not fully sure if I can trust that its claim of being Zero II is true. But if it is, he might be an aged Santa. Luna says that the old woman, who I know to be Akane, has a partner who has been with her for years. Santa fits that description, though his worldview confuses me.

Oh, I'm sure.

I like to think ha I have some answers, but if this game is anything like its predecessor, it'll be dropping bombs on me up until the very end.

And knowing the series, there'll probably be bombs even after it's ended, depending on what you caught during your playthrough.

Cleared the Q Room.

And at least part of my guess is right! the game was made in order to transport Sigma and Phi into the past! Now as to whether I got the why correct, in addition to the what... I'll have to keep going.

edit:

Oh god.

Oh god.

Tenmyouji is explaining things, and just... oh god. This is bleak.

I'm guessing you know who Tenmyouji is now? Cuz damn, I wish I played 999 before VLR, so that twist would've had more meaning for me...

As for the plan sending Sigma and Phil back into the past, it took me a few days after finishing the game to fully get it.

Yeah, I know Tenmyouji's identity. It was clear to me the second I saw his photograph of Akane.

Also, holy crap. This is why Sigma is the only one who hasn't had voice acting!

edit:

That ending. Or beginning. Man.

And I'm in what I think is finally he last set of scenes. Tenmyouji's story continues to be sad as anything. I really, really hope that, if his all succeeds, the Junpei of 2028 can live a happy life. I hope Quark and Tenmyouji can make their way in this timeline too, of course. I have no idea what Akane is planning to do to bring back Clover and Alice. Is this another example of them trying Tricked Out Time? And Dr. Klim is not getting any father-of-the-year awards any time soon.

edit: It's... it's me, isn't it? Not Sigma, or Kyle, or Dr. Klim, or any character in the game. It's me. The player. Isn't it? I'm the uncontrolled variable.

This is the most meta thing I've ever seen.

From Ever17? Never played it myself, but I took a look at the page after it was brought up elsewhere, an yeah, sounds like it.

That bit isn' the only reason why this game is the most meta thing I've seen in a long time, of course.

[up] but... man, I still don't get how Alice's and Tenmyouji's votes changed, when they aren't privy to any info. I get what happened with Akane. That's an example of Tricked Out Time, but... But unlike when Phi's vote changed, Alice and Tenmyouji's votes shouldn't have been variable at all. They don't have any info that would have done that.

So it's a manifestation of the game screwing with my expectations?

Because it's damn good at that.

Hm... I suppose I can sort of get the referece, from a broad standpoint. their votes are unknown until the results are shown. I only expeced one way becasue of what they did in a different path. I suppose, if their vote is truly random, then there's no reason why it couldn't switch like that. That said... let's take Alice as an example. In both paths, her choice comes across as the result of a reasoned thought process on Alice's part. It's not like she flipped a coin for it.

By the way, read the two-headed lion password backwards.

Also did you get the second END or BEGINNING scene? You need to complete each puzzle on hard to unlock it. Much easier than it sounds, as you can easily just use the safe passwords you already know.
