So the New Mutants are back! With Dani and Doug Ramsey and Warlock and everyone! Has anyone read the new series?

Been picking up the ones by D.n.A very fun x-book, Did read before they were the creative team but the stories made the team feel more like a PG X-force which caused me to drop the book.

I've been reading it. I've actually been enjoying it. Dn A have been doing a lot of call backs. First Blink, now Bird-Brain. It's fun.

Also, Mephisto's date with Amara as cute. And Warlock has a Hel-puppy. That's awesome.

[up] I'm behind on it, I collect the trades and I don't think I've got the latest one of those. But from what I've read so far, pllus some spoilers, I'm not too thrilled.

X-factor has been great I know a lot of people weren't too thrilled with the latest arc simply because it was Madrox oriented. Not saying you are one of them C0mraid, and I would understand that hate too because it is a team book and should be focusing on the team rather than just a character

Eh, X-Factor and X-Men Legacy are similar in that they are ostensibly team books, but are about 60% there for Madrox and Rogue respectively.

And I did like New Mutants before Dn A took over as the writers, but the big problem was that they kept getting looped into every event under the Sun. Necrosha, Second Coming, Age of X, Siege before going back and finishing up their own arc. Granted it was a great plot with Magick being morally dubious and sneaky to the max.

I was a fan of the original New Mutants series, up until Sienkewitz started drawing it (one of the VERY few times an Art Shift has forced me to drop a book.)

These days I'm VERY reticent to pick up ANY X-Men related book (I just don't like the attitude they're written with, not to mention plotlines like The Decimation) so I doubt I'll follow it even if it sports most of the original cast (which I liked a lot.) Not until I see a general improvement on the line.

[up][up][up] Well X-Factor isn't a true ensemble piece, Jamie is the lead and sometimes he's going to get more focus. What bothers me is the fact that, excluding Jamie and M, the characters I prefer often seem to be written around the less interesting characters.

[up] You hated Sienkiewicz? But he was awesome!

[up] Sienkiewicz is awesome, but IMO he wasn't a good fit for New Mutants and he did much better work elsewhere.

I gotta say I've been doing a little Snoopy dance and the very idea of seeing these characters again.
