You forgot to mention Banpresto. I actually didn't know those guys still existed.
Probably not. Capcom already has Street Fighter IV and MvC3 (and their updates) on the market, with SFxT on the way in a few weeks. They're trying not to overpopulation their end of the fighting game genre (and thus go the way of fighters in the late 90s), which is already showing signs of oversaturation once more. It's one of the same reasons they're not jumping the gun at Darkstalkers 4.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The Mad3DS? ... f**k. The fact Sega's involved tempts me... and knowing Sega, it's probably going to have a certain blue hedgehog in it somewhere.
also they seem to be worried about poor hardware optimisation due to Sega being involved... EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN OVER 5 YEARS SINCE THEIR REALLY BAD CASE OF HARDWARE OPTIMISATION. You do know what game I refer to, right?
No information for if it's some kind of crossover... thing... or whether it's something wholly new yet? Hmm...
As Banpresto is a subsidiary of Namco these days, it's safe to say this collaboration of big names is between the three of them with Banpresto probably working production or something.
If it were a crossover, what could it be. Not going to like, I've been curious about a Sonic + Megaman Crossover for a while, but it lends the question of what Namco could add to that.
It's a sequel to Comix Zone, taking place in various video game worlds - with the Sketch Turner analogue being a video game designer - with an utter multitude of levels and areas designed by and reminiscent of work by three compnaies.
Seriously, though, the many, many possibilities that comes with three big name collaborators as apposed to the usual two is actually what leads me to believe it just might be a completely new production, not some kind of cross.

I have a message from another time...You can't call it a warning shot if you hit the person!
I have a message from another time...
But yeah, I don't think it's a crossover. And honestly, it's starting to become a bit overplayed in recent years. Capcom could afford to take a break.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThe 3DS thread's going theory is that it's an SRPG crossover between the companies' various robot franchises.
^^ Well, Ono did say his aim was to have Capcom face off against everything ever if he could help it.
But yeah, definitely not another one so soon. Too much saturation, as you noted. (I still want to see Sega Vs Capcom eventually, though).
Plus, if it were a crossover I doubt it'd have all three companies collaborating, when the wisest course is to generally have two properties/universes meet.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Besides the fact that Capcom and Namco are already neck deep in crossovers with each other. Sure, expanding to their other franchises wouldn't be unheard of, but I doubt they would do another fighting crossover with each other when that's what they're already working on.
I wonder if sega is just planning to help bring Namco X Capcom over here........?
Nah too hopeful for capcom
Maybe Reiji, Xiaomu and Saya will get to show up again.
This is almost definitely not a rerelease of Namco X Capcom, as Sega is put on equal footing with the other two, while Banpresto is up in the corner.
Although I wouldn't discount a sequel.
EDIT: Also, if anyone reads Japanese, and can tell us what that note says, that would be great.

Would be fun to have a Super Robot Wars style massive strategy game with characters from well everywhere.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I can guess those with significant plot power would break the game... and that's not even getting into things like super forms.
3DS is selling well,so everyone now feels like making major games to 3DS(Resident Evil Revelations and MGS 3 are fine examples).I won't be surprised if the future Smash Bros will sell more on 3DS than on Wii U

Except both Snake Eater 3D, and RE: Revelations were announced before launch.
Hoping it turns out to be something cool.
I got someone to translate the site for me.
The note just says "Unexpected. Impossible."
That says to me that it is a full three-way crossover.
So... start plotting what would be included?
I'll get the obvious one for Sega out of the way, and am saying so right now that there WILL be Sonic in there somewhere.
A crossover between Sonic, Megaman, and... I dunno about Namco.
Well, there's Klonoa, Mr. Driller, Pac-Man and the other arcade franchises, but those are the only Namco franchises that I know of.

Eh.If it's Namco X Capcom X Sega, I'll get the next most obvious out of the way and say Morrigan. Is there a crossover she hasn't been in?
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos comes to mind.
That being said, there's a hierarchy in terms of which Darkstalkers make the cut for a crossover, and Morrigan tops the list.
