HL selling well can count as a win if you're seeing it as Laser-Guided Karma for how extreme the boycotters went with their doxxing and harassment.
Honestly I've long tuned out a lot of Harry Potter discourse, in part because of how dramatically it swung around. Like I remember when the people going after Rowling were more on the line of outrage tourists over the Black Hermione in the stage play.
Though that's its own unrelated topic. Though on the topic of the outrage tourists, I do wish they'd go away. They are mostly absent in my Nintendo side of things, if nothing else I don't seem to get the same loud gaggles of them whenever a Gerudo, a plump Pokegirl or one of color or with muscles, or insert third outrage tourist target here.
(...I don't even want to ask how many Nintendo games would be on that Woke Game finder if they were on Steam...)
- Any Mario game that has Birdo or Yoshi in it, since they're openly trans
- Any Mario game in which Peach is playable
- All the Metroid games, even if you don't buy the theory that Samus is trans
The irony is that it doesn't matter, because the game's actual content doesn't matter to people who make those list.
They'll excuse Ocarina of Time despite Zelda dressing as a dude and being a badass because its a classic game they like and it fits their narrative that games weren't woke in the past. They'll excuse Metroid having a female protagonist because they like Metroid games (Also you get to see her in a swimsuit at the end!)
These people will happily pretend Metal Gear is apolitical and straight even as Kojima himself takes the piss out of them for it, and the game's camera lovingly hovers around Snake's ass.
Making a list of games where you list things they'd find objectionable is falling into the pitfall of acting like these people are actively trying to objectively catalogue something, and not selectively outrage farming to feed a narrative. Don't fall into the trap of acting like these people are doing some sort of objective exercise.

Birdo I get because there's outright Word of God about it, but Yoshi is new knowledge to me.
Samus I can guess why trans people would connect with her but outside of misdirection in the first game, I don't think she's ever been implied to have been born as anything but female.

Yoshi lays eggs but is consistently referred to with masculine pronouns. Therefore, he is a transboy.
Oh, and let's not forget that Acht in Splatoon is nonbinary.
Ukrainian Red CrossI figured the Yoshi species were a One-Gender Race that reproduce asexually. Like the Gorons.
There's also Kirby, who's always been supposed to have Ambiguous Gender in Japanese, but is unambiguously male in English.

The Ambiguous Gender situation is a common occurrence when translating Japanese and Korean works into English. Because neither language has gendered pronouns, an ambiguous or androgynous character will always cause confusion, particularly if the translators insist on assigning a gender. I've seen it happen frequently in manhwa where a girlish-looking character will initially be labeled as a woman in the translation, only for the translators to realize a few chapters later that "she" was actually a he the entire time.
I expected today's episode to.be a parody. It wasn't. And o Honestly one of the best ones in the last few years

(How do you embed a video in these posts?)

If you look at the bottom of the markup help when you post, you'll find the embedded Youtube code. In the video_id section, you just have to copy the last part of the url, so for this video, it would have been ogLJapz3oik.
If you do it right, it'll look like this.
As for the video itself, very heartfelt from Stephanie. There is a lot of thought and work put into it thanks to their personal experiences.
Soundcloud removed one of James Stephanie's reviews, accusing them of promoting terrorism, extremism or criminal activity. Naturally, the actual thing that happened was that an automated system saw the title contained "Third Reich", ignored the context that it was a review of a movie with those words in the name, and took down the podcast.
The video is therefore about automated systems causing issues, including Funko shutting down itch.io a few weeks ago.
Also James Stephanie fell down a flight of stairs between wrestling matches. I wish them the best for their recovery, in spite of all the health issues already happening.
Yep, Fucko Fusion really was just as soullessly corporate crossover dickwaving from a company not out of love for the movies and shit they had but going "Look what we have the rights to!" Its exactly the kind of dreck "content" that appeals to everyone who only sees any and all forms of media and bland, faceless "content." Not art to be enjoyed, discussed or to invoke emotions, but don't-stand-out content to be consumed.
Are explosions science?
They are the source materiel for that game, so, absolutely.

Honestly the only times the sort of chuds being discussed could claim a win is...maybe what happened with that battlefield game and Howard's Legacy selling well, and the latter is probably not something they can claim at all.
Maybe BFV....maybe....if we're generous.
