Anti-Spirals did not 'develop'; they were a Spiral Race that rejected Spiral Energy, stunting their evolution in order to ensure Spiral Nemesis never occurred, and then imposed that stagnation on the rest of the universe.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Any spiral race can reach that point, so that would be plausible.
So, Aniplex is bringing the Blu-Ray box set over to North America... and it's gonna be the same price as the Japanese release. Damn it Aniplex.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0They kinda have to; they're not packaging their own release, they're literally importing the Japanese BD release.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.wait, seriously?

whateverSomething I found that got my attention when watching Gurren Lagann.
In Episode 14, Lordgenome talks about the book of Genesis where God created man on the day 6, which is also during the sixth day in the battle against Tepplin. Now that you think of it, there are seven days in Genesis and seven episodes in the second part of Gurren Lagann (9-15)...
Started reading the Gurren Gakuenhen manga today, now finished Chapter 2. Man, poor S(h)imon! He gives off so much Touma Kamijou vibes. (Note: I assume that, since he's almost certainly Japanese by ethnicity and lineage in this Alternate Continuity, that his name's proper spelling now is "Shimon")
LOL at "Husband-Wife Gattai" and Kittan's Berserk Button (which reminds me: Nice to see Dayakka and Kiyoh still Happily Married even in an AU!). And all this cuteness overflowing from Nia!
... Oh, poor little (comedically-)traumatized Nia! I guess that was the final straw on top of all the other reasons she listed for running away from Teppelin Academy.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I started watching the show. I just finished episode 11.
So far, it. Is. Glorious. What I didn't expect, though, was surprising amount of depth, especially from Kamina.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. You just started watching this?
And yes, for an anime known for its hot-bloodedness, there's actually quite a bit of depth to the series involving its themes and ideas.
Hey, it's considered to be a Cult Classic and one of the best animes of the past decade for a reason.
This deserves so much more popularity. It's certainly better than most shonen action works I see nowadays.
A random thought regarding Nia. Initially I was wary of her because she came out of nowhere. But she is cute (I don't know how to describe her voice; it's kind of odd), and later she also has some massive bal-uh, guts as well. What sealed the deal was her capacity for words; I really loved how she verbally smacked Adiane and helped Simon getting up to his feet.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Which language are you watching? Japanese, English or Korean (you are Korean, right)?
Yes, I am watching in Korean subtitles. How did you guess, if you don't mind me asking?
Another thought regarding Nia. I like her character design, especially her hair, but her legs are just so, so thin. It looks like just one good low kick can snap both of them.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. You talked about being from Korea in another thread. Ratman, I think.
D.Roy, this series is already extremely popular.
Watch SymphogearFinished ep 12.
I don't think I've ever seen a character whose skin is covered up more when wearing bikini. I wonder why Yoko even dresses up like that. Also, I liked Nia's longer hair.
I am not really fond of the Four Generals. I don't dislike them, but they...are just kinda there. The only antagonist I actually pay attention to is Viral, and it's obvious that he's gone through a severe case of Badass Decay. I wonder when he joins the Dai-Gurren (yeah, I pretty much know all the spoilers).
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. What needs more popularity is the equally badass Pretty Cure franchise, at least outside of japan.
It is pretty much the country's female equivalent of this series and other Super Robot franchises when it comes to HOT BLOOD, COURAGE, and GUTS!

Watch SymphogearJust wait until the next time he appears, he confronts Gurren-Lagann once again and just gets slapped aside. Even he eventually realizes he can't win, but that will never stop him from trying.
And yeah, the Four Generals could've used some more expansion of their backstory. Guame is the only one who gets a little bit of it in Parallel Works, but other than that...well, at least they did a nice combination attempt in the first movie.
I just remembered. From the last episode, the whole scene with Nia and that armadilo thing general was pretty damn creepy. Most times in anime series i saw Dirty Old Man was played for (crude) laughs, so this one caught me a bit offguard.
Wouldn't surprise me.
Oh yeah, I heard that there are two movies, and they are really awesome too, from what I heard. What is up with those, something that takes in the middle of the series or what?

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It's a Compressed Adaptation and Alternate Continuity of the series. It focuses on the action scenes and skips over most of the characterization, so it's kinda expected that you've already watched the series.
So an official, big budget clip show of the most awesome moments. Sold.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Plus new final battle that's even more ridiculously over the top than the one in the tv series.
Little warning, in case it matters: while the TV series at least makes an effort to cover up any objectionable bits, the movie has a few scenes that are blatantly NSFW.
A scary thought I had on Gurren Lagann.
Something tells me that the Anti-Spiral Race as we know of are not the ONLY Anti-Spirals out there. Like before or during their control ofthe universe, there were smaller Anti-Spiral-like forces that developed on other civilizations as well.
