...Wait, what was the Fourth Edition?

Doesn't exist. Paradox dubbed their version of the games 5th edition, treating the 20th anniversary editions as 4th (though Onyx Path didn't consider them to be 4th editions and were working on a proper 4th edition for Vampire when Paradox bought the IP). Hunter the Reckoning only got the one edition, the new one is just called 5th edition for branding consistency.

Its also going to be Hunter's Hunted upgraded to a main gameline.

No Imbued.

I saw articles specifically saying it’s not hunters hunted reworked and preview material using terminology from the original game.

EDIT: Okay looking deeper they got rid of the imbued, took the names from HTR and basically reworked HTV.

The nice pack of children had free run of the community center's upper floors. This was generally recognized and allowed, as their was the unspoken acknowledgement that those children essentially ran the community center and all its outreach programs. Even if no one knew who those kids were, in their strange and flash-y costumes. They were from here, that much was certain, and they were responsible for putting a stop to the nightly disappearances at Aulvale Park and ending whatever horrible things were happening in the old abandoned manor, the same manor that was now the community center.

They meant question why those kids, teens all, had a ten year old girl imprisoned in a magic circle on the upper floor and her glaring talking rabbit similarly bound in a separate circle. They had to keep her here, it was the only place filled with such latent joy and happiness that the little girl wouldn't feel compelled to keep bleeding the Light of her soul to fix it. Hopefully, this was a state of situation that wouldn't be for any longer.

"I'm telling you, Mickey, this guy is on the level," Ashley said.

Micheal Ashford, known to the wider community by his pseudonym of Prince Lunace, relaxed in his base, non-magical form but did not relax his glare on the woman who had long since made it to these upper floors.

"So, he's one of yours?" He asked.

"Eeeeh..." Ashley eh'd. "No? Yes? Depends on what 'mine' is. He doesn't have the same powers as me, I wouldn't be able to help this girl."

"My nakama doesn't have the same power either, but we still have the same basic origin."

"Well, you know how I'm one of the Sun Chosen?"

"Yeah?"

"He... is one of the Hell Chosen."

Michael took a deep breath and sighed.

... Trevor strutted into these hallowed halls with his head held high, trying not to pay attention to this Lunace guy, in his preposterous costume and military uniform, hovering behind him, hand on the hilt of an honest-to-god rapier.

Trevor thought the sword looked kinda cool, actually, and wondered if he shouldn't get one of his own. Without all the gold filigree. His will have green filigree, and fire. Actually, forget the filigree. And the sword.

He passed by a room where a girl with a book and what looked like a cross between a wizard's robes and a lab coat kneeled besides a rabbit and seemed to be reading out an incantation to keep it bound. It turned towards him and narrowed it eyes, calculating and intelligent. Alright, evil rabbit. Cool.

Trevor, Ashley and Prince Lunace, First Of His Name (Trevor added that part himself), came to want was really important. Another girl dressed like a... a business clown? Trevor didn't know how else to describe it, spoke to a ten year old child. She was trying to joke and cheer the wee girl but the girl's eyes were gaunt and hopeless.

Trevor knelt down in front of the circle where the pre-teen girl was sorcerously shackled. Here she was, his real target.

"Hello Megan. I heard you made a bad deal and need to an out."

~ Megan pushed herself up, looking at the new man to come inside. She studied, trying to feel him. Feel if he had any pain, any suffering. Any Darkness that she could alleviate by taking away from him and adding it to her own. She did this automatically, she did this even when she didn't want to. She did this to save-

"I just want to see my mom and dad," She said hoarsely with a throat stretched from tears.

The man sighed. "That's something that can be provided very easily. You have a more pressing problem, then, don't you? That's why they're keeping you here."

"I made a promise... I made a promise I'd help everyone and the Queen would save my mom and dad."

"So I've heard. So, what is it you want, Megan?" He asked. "What is it that would let you see your mom and dad and make this aaaall stop."

"I want... I want the hurting to stop. I want to stop feeling everyone's hurt and having to make it my hurt.

"I want to help people but... not like this."

The man grinned and she felt a shiver of fear. A shiver that became a quake as he reached across the magic circle and grabbed her hand. As a hole opened in his forehead and smoke started to billow from it. As a sickly green light began to envelope him and fill the room, and the faint visage of an angel in armor with a head of fire loomed above.

"Then, my dear, we have a deal."

~ There was a flash of green light and Darcy "Yipee The Politiclown" Haze looked up at it with a frown. "Is that your stand?"

The Trevor guy, with his weird smoke-y third eye, looked at her. "Za warudo."

"Nice."

"Anywho, her pact is broken with... whatever it was. I wasn't told much but it should be fine no-"

Megan let out an ear piercing shriek then, interrupting all conversation. "I DON'T WANNA GO TO HELL!!!"

"Oh Jesus..." Trevor muttered. "Look-"

Lunace stepped forward, sword drawn. "What the Hell is that supposed to mean?" He had to shout over Megan's crying.

"It's fine!"

"Why does she think she's going to Hell?"

"Because she will."

"What!?"

"If she doesn't do what I say."

"WHAT!?"

"It's fine!"

"Ashley, what the fuck! You said this guy was cool!"

"He is cool!" Ashley protested.

"I am-" Trevor paused, and looked over, seeing Yipee leaning real close to him with the kind of evil smile only a clown could give. "-cool?"

"So... what are you gonna ask her to do?" Yipee said, with a dangerous growl in her voice.

"I was just-" He turned to Megan, who's screaming had died down to whimpering. "Hey, kid, go see your mom and dad and tell 'em you love 'em. There you go, we're even, pact sealed."

From the mind that made If The Emperor Had A Text-To-Speech Device, comes a World Of Darkness inspired series after Game Workshop brought the Copyright Hammer down on him.

Curious question: do you people prefer the fallen angels, once pure and loving but now turned cruel and ugly towards the humanity they once fought for against their Creator of Demon: The Fallen or the rebellious mechanical architects, engineers, and workers of the gears and wheels of reality from Demon: The Descent?

I don't know if I'd say I like them better since I'm only really familiar with Chronicles of Darkness, but I definitely really like the demons of Demon: The Descent and appreciate the angle that the writers went with. I think it works really well with the concept of the God-Machine.

I love the Gothic Punk touch that demons in Demon: The Fallen are tragic characters who loved humanity TOO MUCH.

I love fallen more but that is because I love the trilogy novel.

Oh, hey, I read that too! Got that on my Google Drive, along with a lot of other World of Darkness novels, even that anthology called Lucifer's Shadow: Tales of Fallen Angels!

What'd you like about it so much?

I havent read that antology.

Let see....probably is a perfect blend between the grittiness of world of darkness to the evocative description of angel power, see them fight is REALLY cool.

And their chararter are intersting, from Hasmed learing emotion while having vondatu in his metaphorical balls, to Usuiel being this knight templar who is a lot closet to is oponents.

In general if I can resume what I like of this are his chararters and it really make good of a angel vs angel fight, I love it and I rate one of the best world of darkness novel.

Legit question that just popped up into my head: would medication like Prozac or Tylenol still affect you, even when you’ve been turned into a vampire?

If I remember correctly, no, not directly. However, administering it to a mortal and then feeding on them is a viable way of drugging a vampire. So, yes, a vampire needing medication to treat a psychological issue from their mortal days needs to either find and feed from someone already taking it. Or, terrifyingly, they drug people who don't need said medication.

And that's just for stuff the kindred legitimate thinks they need, there's always giving recreational drugs and feeding off of the person with the buzz.

It is also a way to spike someone's drink, to incapacitate them.

When it comes to the debate of Old vs. New, I generally prefer 1st Edition New World of Darkness to either 2e Chronicles of Darkness or 5th Edition oWoD.

The Classic oWoD stuff from the 90's was awesome in its own right though, as was V20.

I'm fond of CoD as it's what I actually got to play and enjoy, but I do like 1e a lot. 5th edition... I don't particularly like it. It's a combo of weird and nonsensical story developments post cancelled apocalypse, and the new systems and rules being hard to grasp and use.

The backer version for the Second Edition Changeling: The Lost book "Kith and Kin" recently came out. I've only done a cursory reading of it so far, but I'm having a blast reading about the new Kiths they introduced. It's also nice to see returning kiths getting a new spin on them, such as Draconics and Witchtooths.

So. We have several named Methusaleh with actual stats out there (Mahatma, Baba Yaga). Has anyone out there in the wide web tried to reverse engineer them to figure out where they stand points-wise?

Or is this just a case of the "Build an Elder" thing in one of those Camarilla books, but just throw more points in?

If you stick with the older editions (which are honestly better, IMHO) and avoid V5, then a lot of the major elders and Methuselahs do have their own stats. The Antediluvians don't, but IIRC, a lot of the major figures like Baba Yaga, Mithras, Menele, Etrius, and Vykos do have stats listed for them in various books.

While not all of these would help you with the stats specifically, these classic WOD books actually have a LOT of info on major vampire elders and iconic NPC's. Some of these are also setting books or adventure modules but they do have major elder NPC's fully statted-up in them, which can be very helpful.

I have a question. How popular is Pricness as a gameline?

Princess the hopefull? for what I get is seen as one of the best fan made line at all

Ah, I figured as much.

Not really a Roleplayer, but I have some ideas for that gameline and how it intersects with the canon gamelines (esp given its premise). That said I know little about the setting and do want some ideas in fleshing them out.
