"..."Master"." Chad stated matter-of-factly. "I claim mastery over no-one."
He watched as Archer ran off to the pantry, and it was only a split-second before she turned around that he realized that his eyes had been firmly fixed on her backside. That outfit is... Rather too distracting. "What's mine is yours," he said, quickly turning his gaze to her face once more. "Although I trust you not to abuse that arrangement."
Again, he found himself staring at the strange woman. He knew she was Archer, but this ultimately told him nothing; there were so many heroes that could fit the prerequisites for Archer that she could be almost anyone. However, her outfit (her impossibly distracting outfit) seemed to at least imply that she was a more recent hero; either that or she was from some advanced lost civilization, but he assumed that the former was more likely.
"So... Archer." He stated. "Archer, Knight of the Bow, specialising in ranged attacks and pragmatic views on combat. I suppose it only makes sense that I would summon you." His droning monotone and cool expression lost it's edge only slightly by the fact that he kept trying to not let his eyes wander from her face to her healthy bosom. "So... Which hero were you, again?"
"But I can fight him later, riiight~?" Enkidu beamed out a childish smile to his Master and giggled. Despite the fact that he hadn't known her for very long, he already liked her quite a bit. It was easy to see why, too; her grandiose, overdramatic style reminded him very much of an old, dearly beloved friend. "Oh, oh, I hope all the others are just as strong, ahah! There's no fun if they're not strong. If they're not strong then it's just pointless and boring."
For seemingly no reason, he took this opportunity to leap across the couch and hug Rosey. "But I'm sure it won't be boring, ahah! We're going to have so much fun, Rosey~ I bet... I bet it'll be just as fun as that time me and Gilgamesh fought Humbaba! Ooh, ooh, did I tell you about that one? Did I did I did I~?"
He had, of course. Multiple times, at great length, all the while giving far more glowing emphasis on his friend than the actual quest. He always seemed to be rather animated (well, even moreso than usual) when discussing Gilgamesh.
"Hey, Rosey..." He said, not letting go of his Master. "Do you... Do you think he might... Y'know... Be here? Y'know, Gilgamesh? Wouldn't that be amazing~?"
She drank from the bottle, clearing out the last few drops. She wiped her mouth clean and said, "My legend is an old one, and thoroughly unpleasant. Not many these days know of it. I'm afraid that even if I did tell you who I was, the significance would be lost on you. All you need to know is that I'm here, I'm yours, and we will win."
"Athough," she said, crumpling the bottle, "I must say, it is at least rather comforting to me to know that I wasn't summoned by some buffoon with an ego. I've seen too many of them in my time. Their stories never end well. So thank you for that at the very least."
Archer tossed the bottle into the trash can, and headed into the living room. She made herself comfortable on the armchair, and her actions invited Chad to do the same. "Now it's your turn. Who exactly have I pledged my services to?"

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialSuch a particular Master that one was. Until now Uther had seem quite a bit of pride... though it still remained to be seen whenever there was any worth to sustain his ego.
Drawing a few of the old charms around the room in which his Master slept, Uther slipped out of the room, descending into the lobby in the shape of a thin and rather inoffensive looking office man he had seen during his presentation to the media. He wanted a change of scenery as he read of the legend of his daughter...
It took a long time to break the hug with Jack but, at the end of it, Musashi managed it and took Assassin home with her. She had, after all, opted to get the item and make the summons the day before it had been scheduled for their victim to make a televised appearance; it would be difficult to time things correctly if she had left it so late, even if security could be bypassed.
Naturally, the next day she got to watch Saber's televised appearance. Well... that was interesting.
"I think we have our first target, Jack."
Information Erasure was such a useful skill to learn about...
Assassin looked up at her Mother, then nodded. This person was... they were dumb. And arrogant... to just... advertise the identity of their Servant like that... It wasn't intelligent at all. She was glad her Mother wasn't like that. She had no idea what things would be like if she was forced to appear before... so many people.
"He doesn't seem nice...." Assassin said, "I understand, Mother."
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."John righted himself, straightening his clothes. So, what did he have to work with? Female, lithe frame, sword and shield, a very short skirt...not Saber, at least. Unlikely to be Berserker, and too regal-looking for Assassin. Rider? Caster?
"Indeed I am. I am John Christopher Fairbanks. Welcome to London, miss...?"

Even so,Leonard slept on. A black-clad figure stood over his bed, looking at the sleeping boy. When Saber left, the figure quickly followed. Of course, the Servant would have no problem sensing his presence. The figure, cloaked in shadows, spoke to the Servant.
"Should you not be with my brother?"
Julius Berkisk Harway. The Black Scorpion, bastard son of the Harway patriarch. Leonard's personal bodyguard/assassin.
Once again,I talked to KSPAM about Julius. Since Leo's magecraft sucks in comparison to the other Masters,I'll have Julius (Who is NOT a Magus.) cover his butt for a while.
"I left ancient wards all around that room, sneak. I may be his champion but I am not planning on babysitting the kid. This lobby should be close enough should any other magus prove to be as hasty as Leo" were Uther's whispered words as he lifted one hand and called over one of the staff of the hotel. He then ordered some ale from the man and then waited until he was gone before he spoke again "Besides, I didn't think he would need two shadows at his side as he slept"

A ghost of a smile appeared on Julius's lips.
"Heh. A sneak? Yes,maybe I am. I'll leave all the attention-grabbing to you,Servant Saber."
And with that, the Black Scorpion left.
- Harway Manor -
The Harway Patriarch looked through the files of the confirmed enemy Masters.
I shall have to make my move soon. he thought idly.
Who is the greatest threat to my son? I shall await Julius's report...
Confirmed Masters being the ones from Rival Corporations plus anyone who showed up in public.

John arched an eyebrow. Not the most trusting of Servants, this. But still, he supposed that was for the best. A squad from the police had checked the Study for all manner of bugs and listening devices earlier and there was a guard among the reporters outside to make sure no one listened in, but safety came first.
"That will be all right. Are you ready to step out onto the battlefield? Your arrival has been awaited, by both enemies and allies."
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!"Ohoho, of course, there's no pride in fighting the weak. Our opponents will be the best of the best. Sub-par servants aren't worth our ti- umph," Rosey was interrupted mid gloat by her very effeminate servant. She took a step to catch herself and keep from falling, her balance nearly getting knocked out of her along with her breath.
Oh no, he was going on about Gilgamesh again. As much as she liked hearing about the King of Heroes, there was a limit to how much you could drawl on about one person before it became exasperating. Rosey was about to remark on that, when Enkidu released her. She supposed it would be better to answer his question than complain about the frequency in which he fawned over Gilgamesh.
"Ah, it's not out of the question. The possibility stands that he may be in the war, but..." Rosey trailed off, trying to think of how to word this without completely disappointing the servant. She was never good with people, let alone someone as child-like as this, "There's also a chance that he may not be in the war either. There are a lot of heroes out there, and finding a catalyst for Gilgamesh of all heroes would be a rather tough matter. But maybe it's better that way, you wouldn't want your friend to become your enemy, now would you?"
True Assassin quickly went over her abilities with her master. She kept the explanation simple and understandable. She was sure her Master was more intelligent than most children her age, but she was still a child and going into the complexities of her abilities seemed a tad unwise. In any case, it seemed her master was a little unsure on what to do. Assassin really believed that this Master was far too young to be in this war. She was going to have to make sure she looked out for the child and advised her on what to do when she could, "Master, I believe now would be a good time to patrol the area and scout out for any known Masters."
Assassin's mention of locating other Masters instantly brought to mind something she had seen earlier that day. In most cases, Adelinda had no desire to hurt any of the other Masters. She wanted to take out their Servants, and that was all. But not the Masters... There was an exception to this. Harway. Who had advertised himself on television. Adelinda was young, but she knew the foolishness of doing this. And Harway was the one Master she didn't care about not hurting.
"I know where one Master is!" she said, quickly, "Saber's Master, I know who he is and where he is and the identity of his Servant and everything!"
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Sorry. You just...caught me off guard, that's all," Shadow said, a little embarrassed. Turning to his Servant, his face grew more serious. "Anyway, my name is Kyle, but call me Shadow when we're not alone. I...look forward to working with you, great Achilles."
So... Now what?
Insert creative signature here. With an audible bang of compressed air being shot out in all directions, the Servant known as Caster materialized within the summoning circle, his features obstructed by the distorted air about him. Virgilius the Sorcerer was a cunning man, and after previewing the info about the technologies of this era, decided to stop a huge problem in its tracks.
"I am Caster, here to serve under you." No true name was given, and no features bled out from within the whirling wall of air besides an indistinct blur. The voice itself was distorted through the howling of the gales, so no enemy recognized his voice before they had met. One didn't get to stay alive like Virgilius through being complacent...

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected."No, not quite. Hmmm, how should I explain...?"
John stroked his chin thoughtfully.
"You could say that we have the support of this entire country's government, like how other Masters usually have the support of just their families. A group of experts and other mages will be helping us during the course of the War. My plan is for us to visit them immediately. Oh, and the media are outside, waiting to see what Servant I have summoned to fight for the government. We do not have to tell them anything, of course, as secrecy is expected."
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!John considered this for a moment. While that was true, it was already common knowledge among everyone that paid the slightest bit of attention to what was going on that he was the Governmental Master. No one else had volunteered, possibly because they valued their lives, and so his image was all over the national news. Going out there with his Servant would not make things worse, and indeed, not showing his face could have a negative impact on PR.
...on the other hand, though, there was no really important members of the press out there. The live-feeds were mainly for specialist sites and shows, and the pictures for the tabloids. There would be a proper and controlled press conference later, which honestly would be a lot less tiring than the circus waiting outside.
"Hmmm...yes, why not? There is a passage leading to the garage from here, so we can get going immediately. Before we go, however, would you like to dress less...conspicuously?"
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! That night, long after any reasonable people would have already gone to sleep and when even those that liked to stay up late were considering turning in despite the celebrations, Jack and Musashi arrived at a hotel containing a certain arrogant, foolish magus, cloaked by darkness and New Years' revelry. A bad time to start the Grail War, in all respects, since the noise and bustle hid those that might otherwise be noticeable. Such as the Dead Apostle leaning against the outside wall, waiting for Jack to decide whether she should also enter the property.
Only an idiot would waste time and, with someone's identity and possession of the 'best' Servant class confirmed, the ex-samurai had concluded that they should strike fast. Speed was only any good when one had the advantage of surprise which, despite their skills, would only be so great this time. Not to mention that night was the best time for Jack to be operating...
Well, and the fact that they were by the back entrance.

"A troublesome bunch... but more importantly..."
Uther lifted his gaze from the pages of his book, looking outside the window as the bell signaled midnight "I believe we'll be seeing the lot of them shortly"
