It's surprisingly hard to find Simpsons commentators. This site and several blog sites are always talking about it, but videos on the series are few and far between. There are barely any reviews on the new episodes either. I guess people who watch current Simpsons don't post online about it.
I guess this is where I can offer a good recommendation. Me Blog Write Good
is probably the most comprehensive Simpsons blog I've seen, as it contains in-depth reviews on every single episode of the series. Reviews on the later episodes can get a bit repetitive at times due to how many recurring flaws there are and it's clear that the writer is much more of a fan of the classic era, but each review is entertaining and worth a read.
I can't think of any Simpsons Youtubers though, at least those who look at the show episode-by-episode.
I'm probably overthinking what's obviously a joke, but remember in that episode "Smoke on the Daughter" (the one where Lisa has ballet lessons and gets addicted to secondhand smoke) where Lisa goes on a tirade on a bad thing that's implied to be smoking, but it turned out to be ballet?
Anyone thought that was weird?
Also, should we expect any changes to The Simpsons in the coming years now that Disney's bought Fox? It's appearing at this year's D23 Expo
and everything.
In the season 22 episode "Flaming Moe", Julio points out a political race is between Moe, who's been lying about being a homosexual, and a candidate so homophobic that he must be in the closet. Julio doesn't know whether to back "the liar" or "the denier".
The thing is, even if Moe is lying about being gay, he'll still pass gay-friendly legislation to promote the image that's he's gay while "The Denier" will block gay-friendly legislation to promote the image that he's straight.
It seems a no-brainer that Julio would want to back "The Liar"
No, Mr. Bunker, "this here" is justiceThat comment about outer space just made me remember something, that Principal Skinner is a dumb smart guy.
In "Bart's Comet," he punished Bart by roping him into joining him for his astronomy project at 4:30 in the morning. Hey wait a minute, you can't go skywatching at 4:30 in the morning. That's the crack of dawn.
A few days ago I watched TheRealJims' retrospective on Otto. I never noticed that Otto had been reduced to drug jokes. That's a shame. I thought he was a funny character in earlier seasons. He's works well as a laidback confidant to Bart. I've always associated him with jokes about high school dropouts and metalheads, not drugs. I never even thought of him as using drugs, but I guess that's part of the stereotype.

Russi Taylor, who was the voice actress for Martin Prince, has died at 75
.
This is a depressing note for the show to head into its first season with Disney, since she was also the voice actress for Minnie Mouse.
I know right. You know the fact that they had prominent Disney voice actress with them, while they made many Disney jokes is kind of funny in a way. However, I wonder if they have to get a new voice actor for Martin or just retire him like with the other characters' voices that have had died like Mrs. K or Troy Mclure.
According to the Filmography listing on her Other Wiki page, she also voiced Lewis, Sherri and Terri, Wendell Borton, Martha Prince, Üter Zörker, Dr. Hibbert's daughter, and Sydney Swift.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryI only just learned that Russi was the voice of Martin, and thanks to
, I know she did a lot of other voices as well.
We've lost a great one.
...wait...Mrs. K.? As in Edna Krabbaple?
Her voice actress died too? When?
One Strip! One Strip!Oh right.
I think I do remember that. It's been so long since I stopped watching the Simpsons that I seriously have no clue what's going on with them anymore.
Yeesh. It also brings into perspective that they really need to end the show, if they keep having to flat out write out old characters when their actors die.
Especially since a lot of them do multiple characters. They don't just lose one person when it happens.
One Strip! One Strip!
