Patricia shook her head sadly. "These people miss the point. It's not about the catch, it's about the journey. Simply having a strong Pokemon means nothing if you don't know how to use it." She stated while drinking some tea. "And frankly, they don't deserve to be trainers." She stated bluntly.
Tomahawk snorted. "Laziness and arrogance. Those are traits of weaklings. I despise weaklings." He commented. "Who do these people think they are, thinking they have control over everything?" He snarled.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!"Hmm, then maybe we could join the same team, or something, travel together and see the sights of Unova, and who knows, maybe some other regions."
Tsukasa was just chuckling a little to herself, pondering if Kagato's hormones were intervening in his initial plan.
A red haired young woman wearing a glove on her right hand and an eye patch looked over at Patricia and said, "...Personally, for those that are too unwell for a journey or the more advanced training, I'd say those SLAVE things could be pretty useful."
She was another person known around the city; "The Honey Trap" Nao Yukizawa. She was known as someone who used rather underhanded tactics to win, and despite being quite skilled, in most competitive circuits, she was not well liked.

"I wasn't saying that it wouldn't be good for them. Better than the current way people get others to train them for them, then have loyalty problems. I guess it's the next version of that."
Keiran shrugged.
"No I was annoyed by how it could be abused. Rather than paying to get their Pokemon trained by a foster-trainer, rich kids will just buy levels. And that I think it's bad idea to view Pokemon as just machines that can be 'fixed' and 'improved'. Training doesn't work that way."
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrNao supposed such was true, but at any stage, the rich kids and their parents would just buy up ways to get stronger and better.
"I suppose so." She had to admit, the idea of a mechanical Pokemon intrigued her. She had to wonder...how would one of them battle? "I have to wonder...Would it have Steel as a natural Typing, thus making all SLAVE's weak to fire attacks? And would attacks be programmed in as well?"

"That would be amazing!" Kaitlyn said. "We could catch Pokemon! And I guess I'll find out exactly what I'm trying to do along the way." she said confidently.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Keiran looked away from Nao, to Jo and Kagato. They were a curious little group, and Keiran wanted to know what their stories were. "I could come with you. As a guide of sorts. I've travelled Nuvema to Mistralton at least."
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrPatricia rolled her eyes. "Of course, you would think those are a good idea." She scoffed. All of Patricia's Pokemon (aside from Umbrella) glared at Nao too. Patricia knew about this woman. Anyone who partook in competitive battling knew who she was. Then Nao asked a question. "And that is why these 'SLAVE' things are a bad idea. Being a natural Steel type would make teams share so many weaknesses." She joked. The thing about attacks being programmed in made her shudder. She didn't like this SLAVE idea. Not one bit. Besides, the acronym told her everything she needed to know about this product.
Patricia looked over at the others. "Perhaps I can escort you all for a while. I'm headed towards Mistralton City for a performance at the Musical Hall there, anyway." She stated. Tomahawk rolled his eyes at this, while Aria was clapping at the idea. "Oh I do so love musicals! They're very fun, and not savage, unlike battling." Tomahawk growled at the Clefairy. "Of course you don't like battling. You're just a weakling! Patricia, why the hell aren't you using your Moonstone on her!?"
Aria gaped at the Fraxure. "EXCUSE ME!? WEAKLING!? Of course you love battling, because murdering is your favorite pastime! You think EVERYBODY is a weakling!" She shrieked. "Well I'll show you!" Cold air started gathering around her hand, and she aimed it at the Fraxure, while the black dragon raised up his fist. Patricia gave a glance to Parasoul. "(Not another one of these arguments.)" She'd deal with this herself, but talking to her Pokemon and telling them to stop arguing would certainly be seen as strange. Before they could attack each other, Parasoul stepped between them. "That's enough you two." She said sternly. "We're in the middle of a public area, take your childish bickering somewhere else." She said. The two glared at each other before letting out a loud, "FINE! Grrr..."
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Nao looked away from Keiran and at Patricia.
Oh, great, she thought, its the strength fanatic and, of course, she had her foremost brute out of its Pokeball.
She did not feel like defending her actions in battle. It was not her fault some people were not as mentally prepared during a battle as her. Any means necessary to achieve a win were acceptable means.
And so she said, "Hmph, and of course someone so rooted in old battle styles would think such about a potential new type out there. A little afraid your ways might become obsolete, eh Patricia?" Nao showed a small smirk.
Kagato meanwhile looked over at Keiran, "Yeah, that would be alright, besides, its only wise that we bring a guide. I'm really looking forward to traveling with you." It seemed that, already, the SLAVE idea was somewhat unpopular. And with an acronym like that...
Kaitlyn wanted to respond to the request but she was forced to cover her ears. She hated loud noises, even ones she could understand. And arguing always rubbed her the wrong way. It brought back painful memories.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Patricia looked over to Kaitlyn and back to her Pokemon. "I'm sorry about that. My Pokemon have an unfortunate tendency to make such a fuss sometimes." She said. "I don't really have any clue why though." She sighed. Tomahawk and Aria glared at each other and began growling. Patricia gave a glare to her Clefairy and Fraxure and angrily mouthed. "We'll talk about this later." This shut the two Pokemon up.
Glaring at Nao, she said, "Ha! My ways? Obsolete? I don't think so! Any self respecting trainer knows that training takes work, and battling is a event that should be treated honorably. A social more that you seem to ignore." She said venomously. The lady was starting to get a little agitated, and really wanted to give Nao a piece of her mind. No one liked how she resorted to unscrupulous methods to win her battles. Even dark type trainers didn't battle as dirty as she did.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Nao was also getting quite riled up by Patricia, though she did not show it, "...A battle is a struggle, wherein victory is the most important thing. There are no such things as constant social norms in such an arena."
Reitt started to walk off and said to Kaitlyn, "Oh, alright, I was just making sure."
Kagato looked after Reitt as he sat down and ordered and the silver haired youth said, "...I feel like I've seen that guy somewhere before."
Tsukasa said, "That's Reitt, he was standing at Nagi's side during the Battle Tournament."
Kagato remembered that now, and he had to wonder if Reitt knew what was going on with the SLAVE's...

"Depends whether you view battling a merely a fight or more of a duel," Keiran noted, taking a bite of his pizza. "Duels expect more of the fighters."

You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrPatricia twitched when she heard Nao speak about her beliefs. Oh, sh had enough. She slammed both of her palms down onto the table, and pushed herself up. "Oh, puh-lease! No one, and I mean NO ONE likes the way you battle! Did you know you've got people campaigning to get you banned from tournaments altogether!?" She yelled, dropping her calm and formal demeanor altogether. Agrus snickered. "Uh oh, now you've done it! You got her into pissy battle mode! AHAHAHAHAHA!" It cackled. Parasoul slapped the Magneton for that. "Why do you feel the need to make such inappropriate comments?" The Frillish sighed. Argus spazzed out. "Lemee ask you a question, why do you always have to act like our mom, or something?" Magneton sent out a lightning bolt at the jellyfish ghost, who shrieked and dodged. "AHH! What was that for!?" "It's called payback, bitch! Eheeheehee!" Argus laughed. Parasoul's head puffed up, but she calmed herself down. Argus on the other hand, was still laughing it's ass off.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!"This goes to show you." Kaitlyn said. "If you really want respect you've got to earn it. Do you think people will really like you if you take out all the work in Pokemon training? No. At best you'll be the Z-list celebrity no one cares about, at worst you'd just be a spoiled rich kid. Trust me. All the fame in the world doesn't mean anything if you didn't earn it." she said.
She honestly felt some sympathy for this girl. She wanted to be in her position, famous without doing anything to justify her fame, she heard loads of people would do anything for that but it was worthless if everything is handed to you on a silver platter. She hoped it would get her off that path.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. That actually managed to shake Nao.
"...Y-You are just trying to do something like give me a taste of my own medicine, aren't you? A-All the same, I...need to be going."
With that, she started out of the restaurant, sweating a little bit. She could not stop now, not when...not when...
Reitt meanwhile did not like the idea of people campaigning to get one person to stop battling. He would look into this further, before returning to Koltei with Nagi and Yuichi.
He had to wonder if this Nao girl was as bad as this other girl was saying she was.
He then noted Kagato and Tsukasa. Silver hair? They seem similar to denizens of the Zu-An Shang Island...hmm.
Kagato asked Kaitlyn, "So, do you want to go see if we could talk to one of the Battlers from the tournament today?"
"Umm... Hmm..." she said nervous. She was pretty sure her father was one of the competitors there. She was very afraid she'd get caught and this charade would be for nothing. On the other hand her freezing up at this question would also be suspicious. "There's one trainer I'd like to avoid. Not because of him personally but because of a phobia of mine." she said.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Kagato nodded, "Alright, I am sure if we used disguises it'd be alright."
Reitt decided this was likely as good a chance as any. He needed to know if the rumors of that group abducting some islanders was true. If they were still trying to make those things, it could be dangerous.
He walked back over after finishing his rather small meal. "You guys need to get into the tournament area to talk to some Battlers? I have some spare cloaks laying around. I think I could help you get in."
"Thank you sir." she said do a little suspicious. "And I'd rather not see Pluto, sir. Mr. Sykes's Cofagrious. Those things give me the willies." she lied.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."Mind if I tag along? I'm not going to pass up a chance to meet some of these guys."
Keiran sent a sympathetic smile to Jo, being unnerved by ghosts was hardly uncommon. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Not a fan myself."
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrReitt nodded, "You're welcome to come along as well."
This girl being unnerved by ghosts was quite usual, though he had to wonder about this Mr. Sykes. What was going on between them?
Kagato had to wonder why Nagi's head Lieutenant would be so eager to help them. "Thanks, umm..."
"Call me Reitt. Its nice to meet all of you."

"That's probably what I'd have to do." Kaitlyn said, mentally noting how poorly thought out her plan was.
