First Draft!

  • Name: Ferrari Esendo
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: See knight armor Picture for basic features. Ferrari is about five foot six, with her purple hair hanging down to her waist. She usually wears her TSAB uniform, only switching to her barrier jacket when she has no choice. When off duty, she'll wear pretty much anything, depending on her mood and the temperature. But, whatever she wears, it will be red.
  • Personality: Cheerful, slightly klutzy, and has an absolute fetish for the color red. Ferrari is also a very noted Big Eater, sometimes to the point of exasperating some of her fellows. Her defense is that Belkan magic relies on food intake. She is also a hopeless gossip, always listening in to get the best dirt on everyone.
  • Device: Heat Hawk, an Armed Device, is actually split between two elements. The primary element (containing the Cartridge system) is her massive shield, which is a reinforced section of armor plating, meant to be used both for defense, as it can absorb an incredible amount of punishment, and for offense, as its a good bludgeon. It also includes a barrel along the one end for her Flare spell. The secondary element is the dual bladed energy axe, which normally is stored on the underside of the shield. As the blade is made out of magic, it is ajustable, and cane form anything from a basic edge along the emitter to a full meter and a half long sword. When the Axe is wielded in its dual blade form, Ferrari keeps the blades very short, to allow her to use it easier with its spinning motions. If she uses a single emitter, then she usually has a longer blade on it.
  • Knight Armor: General prototype appearance here, note that long rifle was later deleted. Ferrari's knight armor can be considered actual armor, as it is not the usual cloth type used by most mages. When Ferrari was designing her knight armor, she wanted actual armor. Thus, her current design. Taking notes from mythological sources, Ferrari partly based her armor on that of an Angel, and then started modifying it. Her armor is made up of semi-ridged plates.
  • Magic
    • Magic Color: Deep Red
    • Mage Rank: AAA
    • Magic Style: Modern Belkan
    • Mana Conversion Affinity: N/A
    • Transport Abilities: Ferrari actually doesn't totally have the usual anti-gravity magic done pat yet, and her knight armor picks up the slack, using various thrusters on her back, skirt and boots, which project energy away from her, not unlike rocket thrusters, allowing her to fly. While not as efficient as the normal flight magic, it suffices.
    • Rare Skill: N/A
  • Signature Spells:

    • Name: Flare
    • Magic System: Modern Belkan
    • Category: Miscellaneous
    • Description: Aiming the barrel that runs along Heat Hawk, Ferrari fires off a red ball of energy which functions very similar to a magical flash bang grenade, meaning to blind and disorient an opponent.

    • Name: Hawk Boomerang
    • Magic System: Modern Belkan
    • Category: Offense (Ranged)
    • Description: Removing the secondary portion of Heat Hawk from its shield, and keeping it in its dual blade form, Ferrari throws it at a target, making it spin like a sawblade. She can remotely control it for short distances, and it automaticly will try to loop around to return to her.

  • History: You know that prankster character who everyone doesn't want to set off, for fear of retribution? That's Ferrari when she was in school. She had a habit of figuring out little pranks that wouldn't hurt people, but make them jump. She also had a passion for boxing, which she later helped when she enlisted in the TSAB. As one of the users of the Modern Belkan style, Ferrari was very much an up in your face attacker, using melee and getting close. However, she favored using a shield instead of a usual melee weapon, blocking an attack and then slamming into the target to bring it down. She also started part time training as a device mechanic, bringing those skills to Riot Force 1 when she was transferred. During training she had been testing the idea of a separate device to serve in range combat, a rifle to counterbalance her shield but she deleted the idea, mostly because she has only two arms and the rifle would have been too many weapons to handle at once.
  • Other: Ferrari currently serves as a field mechanic of sorts for Riot Force 1, knowing her way around devices and such. She also is a front line attacker, favoring up in your face action.

Looks a bit more like Knight Armour than a Barrier Jacket really.

Not that I know what the former looks like.

"Yup. That tasted purple."

Well, the only ones I think to actually have Knight Armor is Signum, Vita, Zafira, and Shamal. All the users of Modern Belkan style refer to their armor as Barrier Jackets.

Actually, they use Knight Clothing. Knight Armour is, well... it used to be full plate, so that really is more Knight Armour. Too heavy to actually call a Barrier Jacket. [lol]

Though I'd remove the bit about it needing anti-gravity just to be worn, since that's basically just where flight magic comes from. >.>

  • Name: Elisabeth Lancelyn
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: Sans hat... possibly
  • Personality: Cheerful, fun loving, reckless and more than a little daring. Elly a generally pleasant person to be around, prone to a little mischief though she ultimately worries a lot about her companions. Appears to act before thinking both in battle and in her off duty hours, though her antics are meant to bring a smile to everyone present.
  • Device: Astra - A rather simple looking Mid-childan staff. It consists of a straight and smooth black pole which ends in a silver half moon with the points pointed at the rest of the staff. On the back of the half moon there lies a clear semi transparent crystal in the shape of a star, with the uppermost tip being longer than the rest. The end effect makes the staff look slightly like a spear, with the star crystal as the spearhead and the half moon as some sort of crossguard.
  • Barrier Jacket: A navy blue beret, a cape that goes from black to dark blue in tone the further down the cape you go. Sleeveless blue top with a black skirt. Black stockings rise until they almost reach her skirt. To complete the ensemble she also wears black half gloves and boots adorned with tiny silver starts.
  • Magic
    • Magic Colour: White with light blue outlines.
    • Mage Rank: AA
    • Magic Style: Mid-childa.
    • Mana Conversion Affinity: None
    • Transport Abilities: Flying
    • Rare Skill: Multiplication. The ability to make multiple copies of relatively simple things. The basis for some of her stronger spells.
  • History: Elisabeth led a fairly carefree childhood raised on an orphanage on Mid-Childa. As the time went by and more and more children incorporated into the place she quickly took on a role of big sister for most of the little ones... though a pretty cheerful and fun loving elder sister. This orphanage however had ties with the Mid-Childan military, which made it quite easy for the girl to enlist as a mage. This being one of her dreams, Elisabeth couldn't be happier with the end result. She ended up being a highly skilled mage for her age... a prodigy with a Rare Skill suited to retrieving Lost Logias with some of the greatest Elite of the army. Which turned out to be a rather youthful and cute lot... Just like back home.
  • Other: An avid painter on her free time. She is also rather handy with domestic labor.
  • Spells:
    • Name: Shooting Star Storm
      • Magic System: Mid-Childa
      • Category: Shooting
      • Description: Elisabeth shoots a stream of high velocity magical proyectiles in the form of small white orbs followed stream of light marking their path. Elly can shoot about 15 per second on her normal mode, 50 if she uses her Rare Skill to multiply the magic proyectiles.
    • Name: Night Sky Downpour
      • Magic System: Mid-Childa
      • Category: Shooting
      • Description: This spell has Elisabeth shooting a globe of magic up high which when detonated by her splits into around a hundred of her shooting stars, which then proceed to descend at great speed towards the ground before exploding on contact.
    • Name: All the Stars in the Sky.
      • Magic System: Mid-Childa
      • Category: Shooting
      • Description: Elisabeth's strongest spell which requires full use of her Rare Skill combined with her absolute concentration. From the point of her device a constant white beam of energy is aimed at her target... while in a perpenticular circle from the staff's top a powered up and faster version of Elly's shooting stars is shot in groups of 30 in all directions. These shooting stars make a sharp turn about 5 meters away from their source points and then aim themselves at the point the beam of energy is aiming at. Every two seconds a new volley of these shooting stars is shot.
    • Also, Round Shield and Ring Bind

You are the first person I have ever seen to describe a circle as perpendicular. [lol]

Umm... accepted, though that skill sounded more like it would be used on physical objects rather than using a magical ability to multiply magic. Reinforce can still make her jealous. tongue

So, soooo jelly.

And indeed, she can also use it to multiply physical objects. Though as I said they must be rather simple ones. Things that are made of just one material are the easiest while something elaborate like a watch is nearly impossible.

...could we deploy without the final splot being filled, and pass it off as the TSAB being shorthanded? I mean...they didn't seem to have that many combat mages around all the time.

Plus, then we could have the naive newcomer act and all evil grin
