Yesterday was a very Boston sports day. Re-scheduled Boston marathon and a post-season game at Fenway to move on to the ALCS.
Houston makes their fifth straight ALCS after drubbing the White Sox 10-1.
And now I have to root for the Red Sox because I detest the Asterisks even more.

Disappointing, but not particularly surprising. They didn't seem close, especially on key issues like service time and all that nonsense.

Radio news suggests the only thing both sides agree upon is implementing universal DH. Which is a shame, from my personal perspective — rather liked seeing the likes of Jacob deGrom, Madison Bumgarner, and Bartolo Colon at the plate.

MLBPA rejects "best and final" offer from owners. Deadline has now passed for regular season games to be canceled (they were extended from yesterday after a marathon negotiation session that went to 2:30 AM), and Manfred said previously games lost to lockout will not be made up.
