Well, looks like Verlander is still in Cy Young form this year, if his first start was anything to go by.
8 innings, 2 hits, no runs, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts...not someone to mess with. Real shame the closer blew the save, though.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Detroit over Boston 3-2, awright. And still tied in the ninth. Good game!
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."1-0 I'll take that!

Look on the bright side joe. Your local hometown team isnt the KANSAS CITY ROYALS
;-;
You know. the team that hasnt had anything resembling a winning season in over 15 years?

Not that fans of the Pirates feel any better, since they're the NL counterpart of the Royals in that sense. Those two teams have been the Butt-Monkey for so long...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Yeah. Being a royals fan is like being a Cubs fan. at best you can dream that one day something miraculous might happen. But you have no serious belief in it anymore.
Hey, at least the Cubs have made the playoffs in the past decade.
I'm taking a peek at the Diamondbacks-Giants game now. Looks like Lincecum is not bringing his A-game.

- cry* DONT REMIND MEEEEE
Is it too soon to get excited?
I'm baaaaaaackGiven this is Fredi Gonzalez's Braves, yes. Guy has no clue how to build an offensive lineup.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Well, we're not LOSING to them at least, so thats good/
I'm baaaaaaackSo the season has opened with the Yankees down 0-3 and the Mets up 3-0. In other news, a snowball was found in hell.
Jokes aside, I'm keeping an eye on the Rays and Diamondbacks, who are so far looking like the teams to beat in their respective leagues. Of course, this is still really early, so we'll see in a couple of weeks how things shake out.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I just got back from watching the Cubs lose to Milwaukee.
I'm surprised they lost 7-5. I mean I knew they'd lose, but when we left at the top of the 9th it was 7-3. The fact that they managed to get 2 more runs is amazing.
So, in the U.S., randomly stripping is a signal that you want to sing the national anthem? - That HumanCards game is on rain delay. Starts at 3:45.
Untitled Power Rangers StoryI love reading Sports Illustrated's MLB section on their website, mainly because it's so unprofessional it's funny.
For example, take this line from this article.
Is it that hard to proofread your own work?
Anyway, the Mets are still winning, although the Nationals are now on top of the division. Every other team in the NL East has a losing record. Welcome to upside-down land?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)mets going 6-2 this season so far.
and we beat the phillies today(well, yesterday now...), 5 to zip!

I'm baaaaaaackCards and Cubs 1-1 for this year. They will lose. The cubs always lose.
Untitled Power Rangers StoryThey say that about the Mets too, but we had '69! and '86!
...though it's kinda sad that the banner I have that says that is from a decade ago...
I'm baaaaaaackCards have the most series wins in the national league...we are the Yankee's of the national league.
Untitled Power Rangers StoryCards beat the cubs again today. Freese is injured.

...owch. I think I died a little inside...
I'm baaaaaaackAt this rate, they really will change their team name to Squirrels.

I though it started on the 5th?
Also, so many rainbow dashes...*twitch*
