I thought the idea of different knight companies would be fun, so I added that as part of Faris's back story. The idea is that each company works in a different area, basically, so not much of a mechanic behind it. Would that be okay?

Sure that's pretty much how we were going to do it anyway, a couple of knight companies for each city and certain areas, obviously bigger cities and more demon prone areas have a larger no. of companies.

The things we've established so far:

  • Ferals, specifically the nonhumanoid ones, eat humans.
  • Mana contaminated area looks unnatural. Maybe it's even dangerous to live in these areas? I was thinking about having human-populated areas being moe contaminated due to the serious abuse of mana-based tech. Or should it be the reverse and have demon-infested areas heavily contaminated instead?

I think there are more, these are just the things I made up.

Now, ideas. Is it possible to have a human defect and join demons? If so, will they be converted? Or changed in any way?

By the way, if I start making up details that you find not so great and would like to change it or have it dropped entirely, please tell me.

There are the occasional Quisling type people, and when they surrender, one particular demon handles it; Yuri, who is basically Kaiza's Dragon.

[up][up]So far mana really is just an Applied Phlebotinum or Background Magic Field at this point, although it would probably be better to have mana and such not overtly visible except to those with the talent or skill to view it, only the most mana contaminated areas would have mana be even slightly detectable to normal humans. And as far as I'm concerned mana is not dangerous in free form.

I will also be drawing a little bit of content from The Warded Man, I litterally just read both of them in the past week, the novels are very close in regards to ideas within the RP, I suggest you read them, if not for the sake of the Rp than for the sake of a good read. The Warded Man had a large viral campaign and can easily be read freely online but I suggest you purchase the book instead.

So yeah, Nick and I will give some restrictions but feel free to worldbuild and make up lore as long as it doesn't clash with Nick or mine's (Fake Crowley's really but...) and even collaborate between yourselves.

Oh yeah, and READ The Warded Man it's a damn fine read and I'm assuming if you were interested in this RP you'll love Peter V Brett, I'll admit it starts off slow but I assure you by the end of the second book you'll want to kill me for making you wait for the next 3 books.

Ah sorry, same as arre, so yeah. Not much to do with our characters passing the time, but I guess I could just add some filler while we wait for whatever.

Come to think of it, I think i'll just make the whole "mana changes the color of sunlight" thing specific only to Faris, since she can see mana. Makes her sound a bit schizophrenic and slightly out of touch with the standard reality.

But really I'm out of things for Faris to do now. If nothing's coming up maybe I'll start writing something more concrete about the D'Ellund in the mean time. If we are to take them as part of the world's background, that is.

Yeah, do that.

But I would prefer it if the Mana Changing The Sun was not changed. Not when it was already established.
