I'd watch the shit out of that.

The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.

The video is so wrong in so many ways it's simply beautiful.

I'm wondering if Alan Moore would find this funny, offensive, or both.

[up] Well, Dave Gibbons loved it and Alan Moore did say that's the only "adaptation" he enjoyed.

Anyways, this was my first exposure to Happy Harry's animation, and I still love it!

Honestly, if they really want to monopolize Watchmen, they should get Happy Harry to make an Adult Swim show based on it or something. Better potential then prequels....

Too bad Tim & Eric basically run Adult Swim now, with their unfunny hipster humor.

Let's be honest with ourselves. If Watchmen got made into a cartoon in the eighties, it would have turned out like this. We laugh at this video, but in reality this would be a big insult to the only excellent piece of the western comic book industry.

I don't know. Ruby Spears turned violent Chuck Norris movies into Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos, which is So Bad, It's Good.

I think what Aka is saying is that done in parody, it's great. Done without irony, it would have been a disaster since much of what makes up Watchmen's content is, well, human conflict beyond the simple black and white views all of us have. In fact, black and white views clashing was a major part of the story.

The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.

....I wasn't suggesting doing it "without irony"....I meant potential for creativity/quality in general, as a funny show opposed to a serious project, not the same, eh, potential Before Watchmen has....I'm blabbering now.

I just mean as like a very short little miniseries thing it could work. Although Sealab lasted a while.

I don’t get it.

Is it me, or is comedy getting more niche and esoteric?

Some parts of this are plain fridge brilliance. Comedian wanting a kiss from Silk Specter II, Ozymandius saving comedian, and Rorschach being a friend to the animals. Also, based on the notes at the end of that one chapeter, couldn't this be canon?
