Diagonalizing The Matrix
Kill it. This is example-pitching Word Cruft which is IMO the worst kind.
Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toMurder it by shooting it in the face and then killing it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"This thread should be preserved, and linked to in a pinned thread * if only for the amusing tangent alone, let alone for being about a concise example of the kind of writing style we are trying to discourage.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartIn a similar vein, "[X] does this all the time," is another bit of Word Cruft that must be… must be… … dang, there's no way I can think of anything as funny as the above posts. Though I think this bit was mentioned in another thread.
In a dissimilar vein, "[X] may as well be the poster child for this trope," is yet more word cruft and reeks of Most Triumphant Example.
I'm right on both counts, right?
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!So it ok to leave as is and even use more often?
With such endorsement as these, I fell that I can safely deal with this problem with impunity.
This seems like a sizable project.
I am not a mod, and I don't play one on TV.

I see a lot of where do we start around and it maybe just me but this Word Cruft is starting to bug me.
