This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

For Unwanted Gift Plot?
The page quote on Neon Genesis Evangelion was just changed from:
to:
My vote is to restore the old quote, mainly for brevity and the lampshade of the show's nature. Thoughts?

It can go either way. The opening of Evangelion is easily one of the most memorable (and memetic) in history, and probably the first thing one hears when they start watching, so it's not unreasonable to have it introduce the page as well.
And it describes the show as well as the former one — which requires the reader to know what Twin Peaks is to be understood.
I'm more concerned by the unilaterality of the edit.

Oo oo ah ah
That too; I thought about reverting it straightaway but decided it'd be better to get a decision that can be cited in a tag.

Film. The Fantastic Four First Steps had its quote changed from this:
Sue: Ben has always been a rock. Johnny is... Johnny. And I am right here.
To this:
Keep or revert?
I’ll lift my face, and run to the sunlight.
I prefer the original but I also like this one too.

The current quote on 20 Minutes into the Future doesn't seem to be illustrating the trope.
The trope is about works that use some futuristic technology, but are otherwise recognizable to real life. That quote seems to be describing Zeerust or Failed Future Forecast instead. The quotes page quotes aren't any better, so can I leave it blank for now?
regulation pigeonThe Security Blanket page quote is overly long. May I shorten it to this:
I'm not sure. The longer quote helps to illustrate that a Security Blanket is not necessarily a blanket.
Maybe we could Take a Third Option and use the Fairy Tail quote from Quotes.Security Blanket.

I don't just Wiki Talk the talk. I Wiki Walk the walk. The quote on Object Shows doesn't actually say anything about what the genre is about.
We're all as happy as can be! (Can be!)
United are we in our cardinal values three,
Yes, welcome to the OSC!
The quote within context is about the society that the characters created after the In-Universe version of the show ended and them separating themselves from the show and its host. The OSC being the same acronym as "The Object Show Community" is just a case of Fun with Acronyms. This actually stands for "Order, Saftey and Co-operation". Even separating the quote from the context, the quote really doesn't describe anything about the shows.
The page doesn't have a quotes page, so should it be left blank for now?
I don't like the quote for My Death Is Only The Beginning
Robert Lutece: It's up to you what matters more.
Rosalind Lutece: Your part in the play...
Robert Lutece: Or the play itself.
This trope is about a person who is willing to die to spur a greater action, and while from what I read in the examples below, Daisy does die, this quote is more about her initial hesitancy on the matter. It's not the affirmation, "I will take the path of my death."
I would suggest as a replacement this line from One Piece 2023 when Garp talks to Rogers about his impending execution.
Roger: That I did Vice Admiral. Now I'm bringing it to one and all!
Or this line from Kierkegaard
— Soeren Kierkegaard

the first one isn't clearly about death; the second one is good.
seems good!

Second one

It seems a little long to me. I'm also not a fan of having stage directions in quotes personally.
i thought the shorter one was fine. it'd still illustrate if it were sarcastic.
it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

Perhaps I could add some of the dialogue right before that to help with the context:
Mac: You're going to eat socks?
Bloo: (sarcastically) Yes, I'm going to eat socks.
(Bloo walks away leaving laundry behind)
Bloo: (pretending) Oh no, I am lost. Where is Mac? Oh look, a trail of clothes. I will follow it.
(Bloo follows the trail of laundry)
Bloo: (still pretending) Oh, Mac. I have found you. This helpful trail of clothes has shown me where I have been, and where I have not. Thanks to them, I am safe from my lostedness. Oh thank you, helpful trail of clothes, I love you.
