The quote for Gladiators (2024) has been extended to include more of the lyrics.

From:

"Do you feel the power of the Gladiators?
Do you have the will and the skill?
Do you have the speed, the strength,
the heart to be a winner?
It's not for beginners"
Gladiators theme song (opening credits)

To:

Do you feel the power of the Gladiators?
Do you have the will and the skill?
Do you have the speed, the strength,
the heart to be a winner?
It's not for beginners
Deep down in your soul
Are you a Gladiator?
Are you a Gladiator?
Muff Murfin, Gladiators theme song (opening credits)

We'll want to cut the pothole as a minimum, but does it justify keeping the longer quote?

(I'm also unsure if we'd normally credit a specific songwriter in that way for a theme tune quote, but haven't had time to look for a precedent)

I think the shorter version is better.

[up][up]Prefer the shorter version. I see no problem with including the artist.

The quote for Pointy-Haired Boss doesn't say anything at all about being a boss. How about either of these from the Quotes page?

<SaetheR:#916> why are stupid people my managers?
<phear:#916> because they make horrible employees

Fetisov: I've had it. I will not suffer that stupidity anymore!
Burakov: He may be stupid, but he's in charge.

[up] Latter quote is the best of the two, as the former seems more like an example of Kicked Upstairs or The Peter Principle. However, I don't think it's the best possible example of Pointy-Haired Boss, so mine is more of a tentative approval if nothing else is proposed.

''There's no magic in tuning; yet, it's something that tends to escape from any logic."

The new quote for The Citadel Comes to Life:

"The Citadel's on full alert! I've never seen it lit up like that."
Barney Calhoun, Half-Life 2

So in Half-Life 2 the Citadel never comes to life. Barney's referring to how Gordon Freeman has the Combine all stirred up and they're doubling down on hunting him down and killing him.

The current quote on Point That Somewhere Else is entirely unrepresentative, depending on a scene description:

"Guess I should've knocked."
Clint Barton (nonchalantly reacting to a knife at his face), Captain America: Civil War

I'd suggest replacement by this much better one:

"If I've offended you, I apologize. If not, I'd appreciate you pointing that elsewhere."

The current quote for Invaded States of America doesn't display anything about the trope itself, let alone alluding to it (besides the name of the song).

"Heard about Houston?
Heard about Detroit?
Heard about Pittsburgh, PA?"

[up][up] Someone went ham on the Hearts of Iron IV on the quotes page and I'm not a fan of most of them, but I think this works as a replacement:

"There once was a time where our glorious empire stretched across the rim of the Pacific, pushing deep into the Americas. Ill-considered decisions since then have traded these possessions for short-term monetary gains. But under our leadership, Russia may once more reclaim its American possessions. We will simply have to make their current owners withdraw from them."

[up] This quote feels more like Russia Called; They Want Alaska Back, more about the desire for invasion but not about invasion itself. And that trope doesn't have a quote, so this may be a good fit.
