This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

The quote for Pointy-Haired Boss doesn't say anything at all about being a boss. How about either of these from the Quotes page?
<phear:#916> because they make horrible employees
Burakov: He may be stupid, but he's in charge.
Latter quote is the best of the two, as the former seems more like an example of Kicked Upstairs or The Peter Principle. However, I don't think it's the best possible example of Pointy-Haired Boss, so mine is more of a tentative approval if nothing else is proposed.
Is it just me, or is the quote on Fan Dumb actually describing Hate Dumb?
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallMaybe replace it with this one from Quotes.Fan Dumb
Suggesting a page quote for Teamwork Puzzle Game:
Suggestion for Celebratory Body Tossing:
The new quote for The Citadel Comes to Life:
So in Half-Life 2 the Citadel never comes to life. Barney's referring to how Gordon Freeman has the Combine all stirred up and they're doubling down on hunting him down and killing him.
pee pee poo pooNot even This Quote Is Not an Example, that's very clearly not what the trope is going for, cut
Ey, migi vuru?![]()
Yeah, feel free to remove as it doesn’t explain the trope at all beyond having the word "Citadel" in it

I’ll lift my face, and run to the sunlight.Literature.The Berenstain Bears currently has a quote from a spoof rather than the books; could I move it down to the top of the trope list?
The current quote on Point That Somewhere Else is entirely unrepresentative, depending on a scene description:
I'd suggest replacement by this much better one:
The current quote for Invaded States of America doesn't display anything about the trope itself, let alone alluding to it (besides the name of the song).

Do not mess with creatures which you do not understand.![]()
Someone went ham on the Hearts of Iron IV on the quotes page and I'm not a fan of most of them, but I think this works as a replacement:
This quote feels more like Russia Called; They Want Alaska Back, more about the desire for invasion but not about invasion itself. And that trope doesn't have a quote, so this may be a good fit.

The quote for Gladiators (2024) has been extended to include more of the lyrics.
From:
Do you have the will and the skill?
Do you have the speed, the strength,
the heart to be a winner?
It's not for beginners"
To:
Do you have the will and the skill?
Do you have the speed, the strength,
the heart to be a winner?
It's not for beginners
Deep down in your soul
Are you a Gladiator?
Are you a Gladiator?
We'll want to cut the pothole as a minimum, but does it justify keeping the longer quote?
(I'm also unsure if we'd normally credit a specific songwriter in that way for a theme tune quote, but haven't had time to look for a precedent)
