This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

I prefer the second option personally. Regardless, I agree Long List's current quote is too vague.
I feel the quote demonstrates Born Unlucky more than Fortune Teller (though I can see how someone would feel otherwise).
I went ahead and swapped the Long List quote with the Burr-less suggestion
I'd like to suggest this quote from this
strip from Oglaf for Cramming the Coffin.
The Ru Pauls Drag Race Down Under sandbox will be launching soon (the Series page is currently a redirect to the main Series Franchise page).
Any concerns about using this as the page quote:
Apart from the awful puns, I think the "Piece of piss" wraps it up nicely, and definitely adds to Ru's attempt to be Very Australian in that statement - worth keeping despite the (mild) swearing?
and ![]()
: I like both.
EDIT: The quote on Stock Food Depictions is barely related to the trope. Any objections to me just cutting it, unless anyone has a better suggestion?

Both suggestions are good (although I admittedly have a soft spot for a good Suspiciously Specific Denial).
I've added the quote to Cramming the Coffin. Should the Suspiciously Specific Denial be all caps or not italicized, or is it fine as is?
I feel like the Nuckelavee page quote is rather long and unnecessarily wordy. Here's my suggestion for a new one.

That works, though the current could also be truncated to just begin with "The thing on its back..."
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Camp Straight is NRLEP, but its page quote is from a comedian using it as a Self-Deprecation bit. (I had added the accompanying example before realizing it was NRLEP). Does "imagining an entire fictional situation where this could come about for a real person" save it from real-life troping?
I don't really have a problem with it, but that's partially because I see a stand-up comedy special (especially one like Mulaney, who usually frames his anecdotes as if they were narratives and makes jokes about tropes while doing so) as distinct from troping the comedian's real life.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Think my previous post got lost in the shuffle so I'm reposting it.
I don't think the quote on Attractive Bent-Gender is the best. It doesn't really have the bent gender aspect and sounds like it could also fit Screw Yourself.
Here are some suggestions I pulled from the quotes page:
Cloud: Nailed it, I know. Thank you. Moving on.
Yayo: You can't help it! Matsuri's cute and small, but with a great figure. Even I'm jealous of him.
I have a quote for Obscure Popularity. problem is i cannot find the source for it anymore, and it was a reddit thread. But here it is:
- "Most people who are really into talking about media (be it videogames, films, or animes) don't realize that a majority of the population is fine treating media like popcorn: you enjoy it once in a while when you consume it, but you're not going to spend a great amount of time gushing about it on Internet"— Anonymous reddit user, on the massive box-office yet small online fandom of Avatar: The Way of Water
The page quote for Beta Outfit is from an episode of Atop the Fourth Wall, but it doesn't actually fit the trope. The trope is supposed to be for an early outfit a superhero wears when they first start out before acquiring their proper costume, but Linkara is describing the initial ideas Bob Kane and Bill Finger had for Batman's costume before they settled for the one used in the comic:
There's only one other quote on the quotes subpage, which fits a lot better, but that means we'd have to cut that page we make it the new page quote.
Matt Murdock: Yeah, it's a work in progress.
Anybody have any other suggestions?
I'm not certain the Daredevil quote works out of context or that it speaks very much on the trope by itself, but that's just my opinion. Still, it's more illustrative than the Linkara quote.
I'm perfectly fine leaving the page quoteless for now, as I don't see anything else in the examples that would work nicely.

Well, it's an improvement over the current but it's also not a strong keep for me so *shrug*. I'd say pull the current regardless.

I think if we don't have a source, by which I mean proof it exists, we can't use it. I tried doing some google-fu but couldn't find the quote either so I'm not sure if you're misremembering the exact wording or the comment was deleted, or my skills aren't good enough but maybe someone else can find it?
Potential page quote for Monster Brother, Cutie Sister
It has no source and seems general. Cut?

The quote for Long List is meh despite being from Weird Al:
(1)
Also it's too vague, it doesn't across as specifically about a list. Instead, try this:
(2)
Or, if you want to add Burr's line:
(3)
Aaron Burr: Sweet Jesus.
Which one?
