This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

RE: #11725
I agree with keeping the first quote and removing the second, especially since the second is a duplicate.
Proposal for swap on Befriending the Enemy, because the current doesn't illustrate the enemy part, just that the other character is mean, and relies on the anecdote in the attribution.

We were considering adding a quote to UnexplainedRecovery.Live Action Films, but the corresponding example spoilers out the identity of the person who recovered without explanation. However, we haven't watched the film in question — is this actually presented as a "twist" in the first place, or is that spoiler tag overzealous?
Would one of these work for UnexplainedRecovery.Live Action TV?
Castiel: ...alive? That's a good question. How did these two [indicating Sam and Dean] end up on that airplane? Another good question, because the angels didn't do it. I think we both know the answer, don't we?
Kara Zor-El: I got better.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadDoctor Who is the best one.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOHonestly the Palpatine one has become such a memed line that I think it works - in my experience, even people who haven't seen the film know about the line and how it does so little to explain literally anything about Palpatine coming back, and it's so early in the movie that it's not a spoiler (literally the first line of the opening scrawl is "THE DEAD SPEAK" before revealing Palpatine is sending a broadcast to the galaxy)

Not a SW fan but Palpatine feels like an It Was His Sled situation. As for the Live Action TV page, I like the Supergirl one, mostly since I Got Better is the trope's former name.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Either the Supergirl one or Doctor Who one work best IMO.
Speaking as someone who doesn't care for Star Wars, the Palpatine one has been memed to oblivion online so IMO it's a case of It Was His Sled since you can hear his laughter in the trailer as well IIRC.
What's wrong D-16? Rise up!Personally I prefer the Supergirl one a bit more. So I will go with that one.
I think the Star Wars quote is okay to add due to it being a major It Was His Sled.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI also prefer the Supergirl quote.
Any thoughts on suggestions for my Befriending the Enemy post above?
CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsThe quote on Adaptational Attractiveness was changed back in June
and I’m not seeing any discussion on it when going back to that timeframe in the thread. I also think it’s lacking in context compared to the prior.
The quote at Live-Action TV will be used for the Twilight Zone page, so we need a new quote. Here are the ones at the quote page that don't currently belong to works with their own pages:
Walton: Tommy.
Cole: ...who is Tommy?
Walton: He’s my son. He’s six years old. At least he was when I woke up here [on the USS Callister]. See, in the early days of this ship, it was just me and Daly. I was his pet project. He tried everything to break me. And I withstood it all, cuz I just thought there was still a chance that I could get out and see my boy again. In a way, I was right; I did get to see him again. Just not the real him. Daly told me what happened. Back on the outside, the real me brought Tommy to work one day. Showed him around. He woulda loved seeing all those computers. He’s really into that stuff. Anyway, evidently, Tommy had a lollipop that day. That’s all [the DNA] Daly needed. He copied him. In here. It was Tommy, alright. He was alike in every way. You know what Daly did to him? He took Tommy and he threw him out of the airlock. Right out into space. And he made me watch. [tearing up] Have you ever seen an unsuited body compress in space? They freeze... and crack like a porcelain doll. I take my hat off to Daly; the detail in this place is exceptional.
Robert's double: Really? Look at you. Tied up in that cast. Weak. You'll be easier to handle than that Miss Gilden was.
Robert: "Was?" What do you mean "was?"
Double: She's dead. Fell on her rose shears, poor thing.
Robert: You killed her. You kill everything. You're killing me!
Double: It won't be much of a loss. No one will know. Not even your parents.
Robert: What do you mean?
Double: Pretty soon, there won't be anyone left here but me.
Rahm Tak: You may, indeed. I'm going to kill all the humans and burn the disgusting place to the ground.
Alex Declan: No, I live those lives better than the real people ever could. I follow them, and watch them waste what they have. I do those identities justice. The things I've seen, the lives I've lived... One day, I'll stop, when I find the person I'm meant to be.
Finch: What? People like you don't stop. You can rationalize it however you like, but you hurt people because you like it. Because you're sick, you're maladjusted and you need help.
John Nolan: Anybody ever tell you you're crazy?
Marcus Lindsey: Sure. But then I burn them to ash

Ah, right, removed. It's possible I forgot another with its own page.
I also had to remove the quote from Sharpe since it's Made-For-TV movie.
I came across this on HoYay.Film
This looks like a discussion of Homoerotic Subtext to me, and not a discussion of Les Yay.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I agree despite being the one to add it after discussing it on this
thread. Replacement suggestion.
Outside-the-Box Tactic borders on being a restatement of the page title.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOBeen re-reading Gulliver's Travels, and I noticed that the current page quote is composed of two parts that are separated by over half the book (the first half is from Part 1, Chapter 4; the second half from Part 4, Chapter 5). I'm wondering if there's something else we can use which doesn't put as much strain on the ellipsis.
