This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Also agree on keep for College Radio and revert back for Dead Air.
Great suggestion but can we shorten it to just the first line? That one line completely captures the trope, and the additional context is distracting especially with the blue link.

I agree for the High-Altitude Interrogation quote.
The quote for From the Mouths of Babes is cut into many lines for no real reason. Should they all just be merged, considering they're from the same person and flow together nicely? fun fact: pro tip: breaking news: life hack: i can't find a good signature
it's a quote from an IRC chat, there are actually a few similar quotes formatted like that (Artificial Stupidity comes to mind) but since it's just one person talking to themselves i agree it can be merged in
Does this merge look natural?
it looks like the link is dead so i went to the wayback machine for it. would you mind if i put in a bit more context as well?
The Other Darrin is another one where the quote and image are from the Trope Namer. Does anything in Quotes. The Other Darrin look promising?
Most of the best quotes are from works that already have a ton of page-toppers to their name. I'll include those afterward, but this is my pick:
George: Me new George. Studio too cheap to pay Brendan Fraser.
Alternatives:
Narrator: The role of Aquaman will now be voiced by Ted McGinley.
McGinley!Aquaman: That evil anthropoid is rampaging through Gotham!
Batman: Aquaman, are you okay? You seem a little... off.
Mr. Coreander (Freddie Jones): Bastian? What in the world happened to you?
Critic!Bastian: They changed actors, twice!
Strong Bad: Wait, you guys are really asking me that? We do that to you people all the time. There've been, like, twelve King of Towns.

Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailI like George 2 because it doesn't require as much froufrou as the others while directly saying there's some behind-the-scenes reason. Strong Bad is my second choice.

Agree on both points. I really like the George quote.
The George 2 quote is great.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I went ahead with the shortened quote for High-Altitude Interrogation.
swapped out the reformatted From the Mouths of Babes quote; agreed on the george quote for The Other Darrin
A thread scope question (can't remember if I've ever asked this before) - should stingers be handled here as well?
There's very little in Administrivia etc. acknowledging that they even exist, and I've never seen a dedicated thread for them.
(Not averse to creating one - and/or working on an Administrivia page proposal - if that's a gap that needs to be filled, though)

I know I at least have handled stinger quotes in here as well, so if nothing else there's precedent for it
Made the swap on The Other Darrin. Thanks for the input!
Bland-Name Product and Fictional Counterpart have the same quote:
Quagmire: Oh, that's right, we're on television.
Joe: Oh, I'd love a flame-broiled Bopper!
Quagmire: (sighs) So frustrating. We all know what we're talking about.
On which trope does it fit better?
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI like it better for Bland-Name Product, personally.
Bland-Name Product since the joke relies on familarity with the real companies.
Thanks, removed the Fictional Counterpart quote.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallHere's the mother of all "what to do with this duplicate quote" situations:
In searching for instances of the quote, I did find on Film.Quartet that it's referenced in a piece of quoted dialogue, should that be of interest:
imo keep it for Death Song; suggestions for the others
Inverse Dialogue/Death Rule (from Final Speech)
don't see one that's good for Final Speech, my choice would be the roy batty speech from Blade Runner but that's on The World Is Just Awesome (edit: and Tannhäuser Gate... i thought i removed it from there before. is it okay to remove again?)

Noted! I'll wait to see if anyone else chimes in before making moves.
Has anyone seen Antz? That quote is longer than long. What do? Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker Mail
, : I agree
