This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

The page quote for Richard Nixon has been changed several times. The current quote is a harsh statement made about him by Lyndon Johnson. Nixon is certainly a controversial figure, and I think it's useful to have that reflected in the quote, but I would prefer one that was not so strictly negative and preferably one from Nixon personally.
I would recommend this one from the Quotes page from Nixon's resignation speech:
The new PS5 quote is like, not good? It would be equally descriptive of any other console if you just swapped out the name.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.
I think it’s trying to be a joke about the PS5 being hard to get? Probably not, but it’s all I could come up with.
to a cut.

Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallFrom The Punisher: The End:
The first quote seems pointless - presumably it was just the writer teasing the comic pre-release - and I'd like to cut it.
The second one seems ok to me.
Thoughts?
Two quotes on Film. The Toolbox Murders, both of which are different taglines from the different versions. Should the older one take priority?
Done...while also commenting out more ZCE's I missed when I initially got there for TRS.

That's what I'd go with. Two birds with one stone while you're editing: there's an extraneous period near the end of the description text.
With Talonhoof being re-approved, should we bring back the original page quote for My Little Pony Fan Works?
Anyone else think the quote for Affectionate Nickname isn't the best representation? If I had to guess what page it were on, I'd've thought it represented something like Blatant Lies, Forgettable Character, or Hesitation Equals Dishonesty.
Kashima: Yeah, baby. How could I forget that beautiful face?
Random Girl: Haha. Can you say my name?
Kashima: 'Course I can... uh... Mmhmm, my princess.
It's the longest quote on Quotes.Affectionate Nickname, but I'm drawn to the Les Mis one:
I feel that a bunch of them are more indicative than the current one, anyway.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailCompletely agree that the current Affectionate Nickname should be pulled, but I preferred this one from the Quotes page, which is more succinct:
I think either quote works, but if we go w/ the Les Misérables quote, I would cut the first sentence.
I went ahead and removed the quote (and a ton of chained sinkholes), leaving it free for whichever quote is chosen. Anything'll float my boat.
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished has a really long quote (I think it's an entire song lyric?) which is mostly just repeating the trope name. There's a lot of more concise alternatives in the subpage:
Genie: (sighs) That's the problem with doing the right thing. Sometimes you do it by yourself.
The quote in Supernatural S 05 E 14 My Bloody Valentine might not be kosher.

Thanks for the feedback, change made.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
