This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

Any thoughts on this quote proposal? [1]
Like, I understand you guys want to keep the Kodai quote. I get it. It's just that I think a little variety would be better.
The suggestion would work fine, but the current quote seems more "evil" to me.
I have a suggestion for a page quote for Unnecessarily Creepy Robot:
Also, can I get some thoughts about my post from a while back?

Trope Editor (he/him)
You don't think blowing up an island with a child on it, killing them, the Cipher members, and Pokemon is more evil than causing foliage to wilt? In fact, even the evil team leader Greevil thinks Ardos went a little too far there.
Also, I don't think the quote really works either.

Well, when you put it like that, the replacement does look better.
Excuse me for not knowing enough about Pokémon.
Trope Editor (he/him)If something needs additional framing context, is it fully illustrative as a quote?
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailYeah, the fact that the only thing that convinces people that another quote is more evil is context is, if anything, proof to keep the current. Also, the quote and the image being the same person has never been an issue. Since this is a Monster page, I do feel the need to point out that the threads have faced this issue for years, and trying to deliberately make the quote and image two different characters when it doesn't work causes more problems than it solves. Just keep the current quote and leave it at that, IMO.
Any more thoughts on this
query on Stupid Sexy Flanders? Even if we have no hard and fast rule that disallows using the Trope Namer for page quotes/images, I still think the other suggestions are still a lot clearer and more concise.
I like the Generation Kill quote the best. It makes a mention of the 'same-sex attraction' part of the trope (which the SpongeBob quote doesn't) and is in my opinion the funniest.
TBH, I didn't think that quote idea was that great despite bringing it up myself. The current works fine as it is
"It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times?"I think I'm gonna move the Sonic and Zelda Complete Monster Fan Works writeups to their own pages (since Monster.Fan Works is getting too big); possible quotes:
Sonic
Clyde the Jackal: How? Hmm…perhaps it's because I don't care. And why should I? Why should I feel for those who are weak? In this world, only the strong survives while the weak either gets dominated by the strong or serve them. Since I am now the strongest being in the world, everyone in this world belongs to me now. Those who dares to defy or try to oppose me, will be punished severely.
Zelda
I like either of the first 2 Sonic quotes, and the second Zelda quote.
Crap...the second Sonic quote is actually the page quote for Sonic.exe.
I also like the first Sonic quote and the second Zelda one
"It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times?"But, still, should we cut the quote for Jumping Off the Slippery Slope? I don't think it shows the "morally ambiguous" part at all.
fun fact: pro tip: breaking news: life hack: i can't find a good signatureThe quote on Kleptomaniac Hero doesn't seem to have anything to do with the trope.
We do remember Shrek 2, so we know there's an example in the context around that line, but the line itself seems completely irrelevant.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.I just deleted
the page quote from Ethnic God for misinterpreting the trope (it's "patron god a specific tribe", not "god with a specific ethnicity"). Good replacement suggestions are welcome.

Definitely agree about the Kleptomaniac Hero page quote.
How about this one from the Quote page:
Blade: How do you think that we fund this organization, huh? We're not exactly the March of Dimes.

I agree on a cut. It doesn't show the morally ambiguous part at all.
