This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

1, it'd help if you linked things properly. 2, your proposal is too non-illustrative, especially since as a kid's franchise, outsiders might (wrongfully, I know, but still) see it as only in terms relative to kids' shows.
Sorry about the improper linking. And yeah, that was the first one I thought of. I think this one could work, though.
- "Turning tail and running? From this puny HUMAN? Pathetic! I was the one to feed you the power you needed so that you could take on Arceus! I was the one who gave you the chance to claw open that space-time rift, driving the deity of space and time mad so that you could drag the creator out from hiding!"— Volo, after Giratina's defeat
That's at least illustrative. I'll wait to see what others say; I know that on trope pages we do prefer the quote and pic come from different works.
"Arabian Nights" Days and Aladdin both had the lyrics changed from the published version to the original version, with no edit reason. It feels inappropriate to use a rejected lyric in this way.
Do Works pages count toward the "don't double-up on quotes" policy?
It's not the quote itself, but giving Kodai the page image and quote doesn't sit right with me. This is Pokemon.Monster, not the "Grigs Kodai is a piece of shit and here's why" page.
None of the other Complete Monster subpages have this problem, if I remember. Pokémon is a multi-media franchise, so focusing solely on one character from one movie is too much bias.

Can we change the quote on Stupid Sexy Flanders for variety's sake, because the current is from the Trope Namer? The subpage has several decent ones:
The main problem with that one (which otherwise I'd also prefer) is that, perhaps unsurprisingly, it's already the quote on Imagine the Audience Naked, and is slightly more succinct than any of the quotes on that trope's quote page.
In response to this
, Star Wars has both the image and quote as Palpatine and Daredevil has both the image and quote as Bullseye, so this isn't something exclusive to Pokémon
I see...well, I don't know what to do with this information. I guess, to play devil's advocate, Palpatine & Bullseye are reoccurring villains throughout both franchises, whereas Kodai is just a single character from a single movie?
Honestly, if any character should have both the page quote and image, it should be Ghetsis. I mean, even if his game equivalent doesn't count, both his manga and generations counterparts do. I'm sure we can find some good stuff for both the quote and image.

There is a custom of trying to make sure that a page image and quote do not come from the same source. However, like the rule about not having the same quote on two or more pages, I'm not sure it's written down anywhere.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. This one probably isn't that great, but here's a suggestion from Ardos for Pokémon
Greevil: But... If I did that, our SHADOW POKéMON data and our subordinates would be lost as well...
Ardos: GRAND MASTER, such things can be replaced! We must ensure our own survival! I've readied a helicopter for our escape. We've got to leave now.

"It was the best of times, it was the BLURST of times?"I'm fine with keeping it Kodai and the Trope Namer for the Flanders quote
What's wrong D-16? Rise up!I don't understand the quote for Jumping Off the Slippery Slope. Can someone explain it?
The context is Batman is comparing how he and Owlman differ because when both learned about the multiverse, Owlman became a Straw Nihilist and sought to destroy all of reality in an existential crisis.
I say cut it, since it's not a proper example of Jumping Off the Slippery Slope, which is when morally ambiguous characters commit evil acts that solidify them as evil. Owlman starts the movie as an evil character with no redeeming factors and ends the movie the exact same way.

Can I just say that I don't like the current page quote for Monster.Pokemon? One, it's long. Two, I'm not a fan of a singular villain getting both the page image and the page quote. It just gives too much bias. Here's a quote I think would be better:
What do you think? Honestly I just wanna get rid of that current quote. It just bugs me.
