This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

She / Her
I actually feel it should be pulled then.
If we DO use the Major, isn't there a better part of his speech
to pull?
While others find it a bad place to be
Did that joke make you laugh?
Did the fanservice appeal?
It depends on just how you feel...
Hmm, that's a tough one. Normally troper-created quotes are not approved of, but that one's 1) actually kind of creative and funny and 2) is for a page that I think fits better than the usual generic trope page quote. OTOH, The Big Lebowski is a pretty legendary quote and actually does fit there quite well.
It’s been pointed out by a mod in an ATT thread
that the page quote for Dethroning Moment of Suck might give the impression that it’s acceptable to list entire episodes as a Dethroning Moment, when the rules forbid that.
The quote on Gray-and-Black Morality is pretty bad; doesn’t do anything to indicate a group is at all less bad than another. A lot on the quotes page have the same problem. A couple, though, like the Deadpool one, are alright.

How about:
Wanting to bump my suggestion for See-Thru Specs again
- it got one vote of approval but I'd like a second before I actually change it.
I came across this page quote on a video Fix Fic page (WebVideo.Fixing RWBY); instead of explaining the fanfiction, it just attacks the official work it's about.
I am familiar with the fanfiction, so I can suggest a possible option for a replacement that gives an example of one thing the creator didn't like and how they change it.
Current page quote:
- A work of blood, sweat, and tears in trying to repair a show with infinite potential left to squander in a desert of idiocy.
Suggested replacement:
(x5) I prefer your suggestion over the current quote.
![]()
The current is complaining while your suggestion isn't, so I prefer the latter.
I'm honestly unsure on what else to say other than I still stand by what I previously said
on that quote.
![]()
Thanks, I'll wait a bit to see if I get any other feedback on the quote option.
I agree that Big Daddy quote is complaining and should be removed. I don't know the work, so I have no alternative to suggest.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I noticed Feather Flechettes lacks a quote, could this work?
The trope is about weaponising feathers to mimic bladed weapons to either perform a Flechette Storm or to slice like blades. The point of the trope is that feathers look sharp, so are treated as if they are blade-like weapons in the work.
That quote comes across more like magical draining, which is going to be a different trope.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I've noticed that a few of the quotes on Quotes.Germans Love David Hasselhoff are illustrating the trope name but not the trope itself. The trope is supposed to be when something is unpopular or obscure in its home country but massive in a foreign one.
Reinhardt: What's wrong with the classics? I love Hasselhoff! Have you heard "Night Rocker"?!
Since David Hasselhoff single-handedly brought East Berlin and West Berlin together when he performed at the Berlin Wall in 1989 while wearing a glamorous piano scarf and Lite Brite jacket, he's expected to burp out some speech (while eating a cheeseburger, I'm sure) at a peace conference in Germany on Saturday. I hope Germany's adopted golden child likes speaking to a crowd of no one ('Eh, I never notice' - The Hoff), because everyone's going to bust out of Germany as soon as they see this waxed monster in person... That thing looks like Bruce Jenner's clenched asshole."
This one I want to get rid of anyway because it's really long, barely related, and deadnames a celebrity.
Should I pull them, or should I split the page into "about the trope namer/about the trope" sections? regulation pigeon
