This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

id check who added them too, given the description's focus on the author of the book. reads like Auto Erotic Troping.
Diplomatic Impunity: I like the longer Family Guy one. The lampshading from Schlock Mercenary is a tad more obtuse, but it works on a Quotes/ page.
Is it just me, or does the Surprise Creepy quote demonstrate Screamer Prank, and not Surprise Creepy? (In fact it could be moved there with little hassle as the current on Screamer Prank is extremely vague...)

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallYeah I'd agree with that move.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Is it just me or does the quote on Deck of Wild Cards not even remotely demonstrate the trope?

Also, I agree with that move.

Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. No, no it does not. As much as I love that running gag, it's irrelevant to the trope.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThe quote on Continuity Porn seems to have the trope in reverse. Instead of talking about elements from the rest of canon brought into one place, it seems to talk about all the elements of the one place that are referenced throughout the greater franchise.
My musician page
All our quote options seem a little complainy, but the Chris Sims quote on the quotes page (about Judge Dredd) looks like our best option.
Also, I went ahead and deleted the quote from Deck of Wild Cards.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. Can someone explain the Sympathetic Slave Owner quote to me? As far as I can tell, there's nothing there about Mintberry Crunch (the slave owner) being sympathetic or nice to the slave.
"Squid has to go to market. He's had to go to market for as long as he's sucked water."I'm not really getting any "cuckoo" or even "snarker" from Cuckoosnarker's quote.
I think the "snarker" part is a bit more evident when taking the quote description into account, but I hate quotes that rely on those, and I agree on the cuckoo part.
Re: Continuity Porn. There is only one quote left on the quotes page, the rest (including the one proposed by Completely Normal Guy above) have been deleted by Anddrix with the edit reason "Removing examples added by frequent ban-evader Johnnyfog". Soooo... are we even allowed to use it?
I agree that Cuckoosnarker isn't illustrative at all. The examples have plenty of quotes that illustrate the snark part, but I can't find any that has the cuckoo part. I'm fine with pulling it without replacement.
Same thing with Sympathetic Slave Owner. It's not very illustrative, and since there are no other quotes on the page, I'm voting to pull
The GM Is a Cheating Bastard has two quotes. I prefer the first one as Rule Zero already has its own page.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.
Then, I suppose, the second quote could be moved to Rule Zero
Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water has two quotes. Petition to cut the first one, because it's not even in English, which I'm pretty sure isn't allowed
Not sure if this is the right spot, but I almost single-handily wrote Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, and for the life of me, I can't decide which quote would be best for it. I'm not sure if one of Savile's creepy statements would be best, or something from the people who knew him.

Those both sound good to me.

Other languages seem to be allowed when there's a good reason for it, and if it's accompanied by a translation in a note. I'd cut that one for the second reason, because I don't know enough about the movie to know if the first applies.

EDIT: Correcting something and trimming this.
