This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

Seconded
Jazz looks like what "TV Tropes"? More like "TV Quotes"! warns against.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupQuestion: is the quote on Author Tract illustrative enough? I know it's mocking a book series known for Author Tracts, but on its own, does it illustrate the trope enough?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI just realized that once we pick which qoute to leave on Jazz (I'm starting to lean towards quote #5), the description will have to be rewritten, otherwise it will stop making sense. Can we do this here or should it be brought to another thread?
For Author Tract, I think there are more illustrative examples on the quote page. One of those might work better:
A Degree in Useless's quote has no source. It's also a bit obtuse. The subpage has plenty of better options:
You are an idiot if you think anyone is going to hire a guy with a major in ancient Babylonian astrology."
With a B.A. in English?
What is my life going to be?
Four years of college
And plenty of knowledge
Have earned me this useless degree.
The quote for Badass Biker is weird. It's more like Cool People Rebel Against Authority maybe.
Johnny: Whadda you got?
Maybe something like this quote from Ghost Rider would be better:
for replacing A Degree in Useless (I'm leaning towards 2)
for replacing Badass Biker

Also, bumping Diplomatic Impunity: there were suggestions for replacement ([1]
, [2]
) but no consensus was reached
- A Degree in Useless quote: vote to replace with Avenue Q quote (#3)
- Badass Biker quote: vote to replace with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 quote
- Diplomatic Impunity: vote to replace with Family Guy quote (longer version)
What does the "(taking this trope the wrong way)" part of the attribution on Un-Canceled mean? Is it snark or just some weird joke I can't parse?
Honestly the whole quote is a bit long-winded and might not be clear enough, I think the Splatoon 2 quote might suffice better (because the only other quotes are both Futurama and would be redundant to the page image).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
The "(taking this trope the wrong way)" is supposed to highlight the irony of Peter's speech, since all the shows he listed were cancelled before Family Guy came back on the air and he acts like the odds of that happening would be extremely low.

But besides the fact that Un-Canceled isn't even a trope, and he's discussing the item in a correct context, which is, even with the dramatic irony going on, that there's a low but nonzero chance of a show being revived. It just feels unnecessary. Being Un-Canceled is relatively uncommon and that's why it's notable.
Wouldn't mind that, though I prefer no explanatory notes whenever possible.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. The English Dragon has three quotes: two are of random Amazon customers lavishing praise on the book, the third is nonsensical and is attached to a broken link. Permission to cut all three?
