This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

Opening Narration has a quotes page, but doesn't have a page quote.
it used to be
but was cut for being redundant with the new page image. it's a bit hard to pick a quote that wouldn't be a ZCE, unless it's something lampshading opening narrations
Could I get another thumbs up or two for my proposed replacement for Casual Interstellar Travel?
This doesn't really say anything about intersteller travel being cheap or timely.
I'd like to replace it with the following:
Ashley: It was only a dozen light years. Like a day's cruise. It's not like I was going to Earth or something.
suggestion for NPC Roadblock; the current makes a pun with a block but doesn't fully illustrate the idea, whereas i think this gets the whole idea of "an NPC that blocks your progress until you progress in the story"
I never play nice, I'm the Devil's right hand man
I can't let you pass 'cause you ain't done everything
Bring me those contracts, come on, bring 'em to the king
any thoughts?
Much better.
The current on Flaming Meteor is completely non-illustrative. The trope is when meteors are depicted as fiery on impact, and the quote is just someone reacting to a meteor falling. It also relies on the source line for context.
regulation pigeonThe Rick and Morty quote from Happy Marriage Charade is clearly about unhappy marriage but nothing about the couple pretending otherwise.
How about this from The Simpsons episode, "A Fished Called Selma":
Troy McClure: It's remarkably easy! Just smile for the cameras and enjoy Mr. Troy's wild ride! You'll go to the right parties, meet the right people. Sure, you'll be a sham wife, but you'll be the envy of every other sham wife in town.
The page quote on Monumental Theft is a subversion even in the quote itself, which may undermine the "near-impossible" nature of the trope. The same movie has a lot of discussion about stealing the pyramids and the moon, surely there's a better quote there?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Could steal this one from Impossible Theft:
And use one of the quotes on its quote page as a replacement.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Since the Uncanny Valley page got split between that and Unintentional Uncanny Valley, I feel it needs a quote. Film.Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers 2022 has a quote listed under Quotes.Unintentional Uncanny Valley that I feel should be moved to Uncanny Valley since it's completely intentional on the film's part. This one specifically:
Dale: The what?
Chip: Do you remember that weird animation style in the early 2000's where everything looked real, but nothing looked right?
Dale: Oh yeah...that stuff was creepy.
Chip: Well I think this is where they ended up.
King of Games's top quote effectively just repeats the trope name. Thoughts?

I'm unsure if that'll curb misuse as while it's intentional in the actual film, it's also a Discussed Trope for Unintentional Uncanny Valley, as it's referring to the unintentional creepiness of 2000s CGI animation.
The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer has two quotes.
As does Creator.Charlie Sheen.

x7 I like that quote for Uncanny Valley because it lays out nicely the trope's core meaning.
This is on Characters.Smiling Friends under the Bliblies folder.
The fact that it says "probably" for both quotes suggests that neither of these were actual quotes and were purely made up by the editor (since nothing came up when I googled). Should they be cut?
They seem made up. I think that's how Zach talks on OneyPlays. Unless we can verify their authenticity, I think they can be cut.
