This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

Thinking of putting this as the main quote for Brainless Beauty but since there's one there, I decided to open this up. Just so I can see if I can replace the quote there now with this one:

The quote on The Notable Numeral is a partial duplicate of the one on One Extra Member. I propose replacing the former with:
The Not-Love Interest has a quotes page but no page quote. How about this one:
![]()
![]()
, though I must point out that said quote is in the examples list as well, so maybe rewrite the example text to avoid redundancy.
![]()
Not a fan of the reliance on bracketed text descriptions, and I'd prefer a quote that doesn't implicitly praise the work's usage of the trope. However, it's the most demonstrative quote on the quotes page by far, so in the absence of something better, it's acceptable. Actually nevermind, I agree with
, don't use that quote.
Kate Bush's quote is 100% gush and completely non-informative. (The whole description has a gushing issue, but let's start with the quote.)

Okay I didn't notice that dig. Yeah that's to much. Sorry. Should it still be in the quotes page then because that's were I found it. How about this one:
Otherwise we probably won't find a quote.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadSwapped the quote for The Notable Numeral and tweaked the example.
re: Nostalgia Critic quote: we could just leave off the last sentence. It's not relevant to the trope anyway.

I remembered another quote for it that might work. Certainly good enough to go in the quotes page if we decide not to use it as the main page quote.
- Watch as these two awkwardly flirt in the classic will-they-won't-they relationship, then, for the first time in movie history... WON'T.—Honest Trailers, on Pacific Rim.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.The NC quote could easily cut the offensive joke at the end and still describe the trope, like Twiddler said, but the Honest Trailers one is way more succinct anyway.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I don't think the quote for Personal Raincloud describes what the trope actually is (personal cloud for sad characters), and knowing the context makes one think it is about personal cloud in general. There's several relatively better quotes throughout the page, but I'm not sure which one fits the best.
"Your father was an average fighter, Kal-El, but he was a brilliant scientist!"Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs's quote was changed by ~Yukianesa from
to
Thoughts? If the new one is kept, I'd lose the second line, as it's irrelevant to the trope.
I'd say to keep the second one and cut the first, or at least just remove the latter's Sinkhole.

Well, policy is to not edit direct quotes. The alternative, and admittedly what I would prefer myself, is finding a whole new quote.
