This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/).
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

Twin Threesome Fantasy has two quotes, one has to go,I would go with the bottom one.
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI'd go with the second quote for Twin Threesome Fantasy. The former is a bit awkward.
The reason I felt the one about the Carpathian Mountains was a miss was because I feel a quote should be somewhat clear without a pothole, and that going through mountains probably is a good idea, as long as you're comfortable driving on the types of roads that usually go through them.

My point being there isn't really a point of comparison. The shortcut isn't short, but there's no indication that it was unexpectedly long.
Dead to Begin With: Two quotes. One's the tropenamer, but the second one works a lot better for me. It stands alone much better.
Chastity Couple: The quote is kind of a mess. Doesn't say who the speaker is (scrolling down narrows it down to either Worf or his ladyfriend, but I can't be sure which), is potholed to Punctuated! For! Emphasis! but isn't punctuated as such, and just seems like someone who is abstinent chastising someone who is dateless rather than this trope at all.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Shortcuts Make Long Delays: The trope is "characters take shortcut, hilarious or horrible things ensue." This generally also involves delay, but delay is not the focus of the trope. That said, I think I favor the first quote.
Twin Threesome Fantasy: I also like the second quote better.
Dead to Begin With: Second quote.
Chastity Couple: Agree with cutting it.
The Knights Templar has two quotes. I'm not sure which one I like better.
I hate both of them since it's just quotes about Templars and doesn't suggest that they are zealous to an unhealthy degree. First one is slightly better as you could interpret it as saying that the Knights of Christ are always justified in killing, but that's clearly not the intended meaning since it is said by a Saint. *shrug*
This isn't Knight Templar; the page I posted is literally about the historical order of knights.
I favour the first one.
I would be greatly remiss if I didn't suggest a quote from Foucaults Pendulum, however.
I love the poem "221B", but I don't think using it in its entirety as the quote for Franchise.Sherlock Holmes works. Which would be better, trimming the quote or getting a new one (perhaps from the canon itself)?

A genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinkerClucking Funny has a quote which I didn't get. I hope it doesn't make me appear culturally challenged, but I had to Google it and find the song. It doesn't help that the song itself is not listed among the examples.
May I suggest my favourite sentences from The Canterville Ghost?
"When Chanticleer had sounded twice his merry horn, deeds of blood would be wrought, and murder walk abroad with silent feet."
Or: "Perdition seize the naughty fowl!"
Though I'm not sure if it works for those who haven't read the book.
The quote for Feminine Women Can Cook doesn't say anything about what kind of a woman cooks or doesn't cook, just that someone can't cook. I would suggest either Firefly or Star Trek The Original Series.
SAFFRON I didn't think to make enough for your friends. But everything's laid out if you'd like to cook for your husband.
EVE Is this the kind of wife you want, Ben? Not someone to help you, not a wife to cook and sew and cry and need, but this kind. Selfish, vain, useless. Is this what you really want?

I like the one from Star Trek. It works even though I haven't seen the episode. The Firefly quote is nice as well, but I'd put it to that quote tab — it lacks context who Saffron is and that she's saying to Zoe. The current one could go to the tab as well.
edit:
- Shortcuts Make Long Delays:
the first one.
- Dead to Begin With:
to the second, but the first one is ok as well.
- The Knights Templar: I also support the first one.
- Any opinions on Clucking Funny?

The quote for Impersonating the Evil Twin is the former Trope Namer. It does not make sense. It never made much sense.
It has nothing to do with the page... It is part of the chant for summoning the Dweller in the Sea of Green, the Coral that Lies Beneath the Waves, He who is Both the Eggman and the Walrus, Gughu-G'Joob.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NO
Agreed.
EDIT: Comes Great Responsibility had its quote (which had previously been chosen in this thread) changed. The new quote is "With great power comes great responsibility." The previous quote was "This is the crystace they shall sheathe in my heart if... I use these powers for capricious or selfish purposes."
I've stated my preference before to not use quotes which repeat the name of the trope, so I'd like to revert it.
Also, on that note, do you think we should start adding notes along the lines of what they do in Image Pickin'? It's a little frustrating to think that vetted quotes could be changed to something worse on someone's whim, without us even being aware of it.

Could some more context be supplied on the old quote for Comes Great Responsibility? It looks kind of vague to me without knowing what it might refer to. Even then, I think we might need to find another quote. Referring to an unseen object with archaic language seems rather strange.
A short note would probably not be a bad idea, but I worry that too much "metadata" at the top of each article would deter new editors.
The attribution line is "Part of the Sentinel's oath, as given in Fusion Fire". "Crystace" could also be potholed to Sharpened to a Single Atom, if people think that would help. (And the language isn't archaic; it's formal.)

Too Fast to Stop has two page quotes. The first one is a bit clearer, but neither one is all that great.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.

"... that said, the first is better because it implies that the shortcut was a disaster, not making it seem like the shortcut just... wasn't that short. "
That for me came out as "the second is better".
