Can we add the Calvin and Hobbes quote to Gag Haircut now?

I was trying to look into this quote from Belief Makes You Stupid, because I wanted to modify it so that I could include the individual who actually said it. However, my research has yielded zero results as in to where this quote came from. This quote might be entirely made up or misattributed. Any Python fans who know otherwise, please let me know.

"Along comes Jesus with this wonderful, moralistic philosophy, about why we should be tolerant and understanding of our fellow human beings, and then we spend the next two thousand years killing one another, because we can't quite agree on how he said it."
— Interview with the Monty Python team

Also, it is entirely possible that there shouldn't be a quote on this page. The quotes on the Quote page for this trope are not any better examples and the purpose should be how the scenario plays out in-universe for the characters rather than just Complaining about religion.

I like this as a replacement

"I call thee for help, O Spirit of Darkness: Show thyself! Come forth, evil demon! I call to thee as thou callest thyself, by thy unholy name: MEPHISTO, appear!"
Faust, Faust

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."

Suggested shortenings for the suggested quote for Drink-Based Characterization from here (differences highlighted in bold):

    suggestions
1)
MC: Oh? You remembered [my drink order], did you?
Nav: Eh. Only because it was the most stereotypical 'Hello, I am a grizzled private eye' drink ever.
I gasp, affronted.
MC: Hey! Not all of us like a bakery's worth of sugar dunked in with our booze.
I look pointedly at the cheerful neon cocktail Jessa sets in front on him.
Nav: There's nothing wrong with wanting a little sweetness from life, [MC].
MC: I prefer to stay bitter.

  • Note: does not mention what the MC's drink actually is

2)

MC: Oh? You remembered [my drink order], did you?
Nav: Eh. Only because [a neat whiskey] was the most stereotypical 'Hello, I am a grizzled private eye' drink ever.

3)

MC: Oh? You remembered that [my drink order is a neat whiskey], did you?

For any of the above, lines 3 and 4 could also be condensed into a single line:
MC: [gasps] Hey! Not all of us like a bakery's worth of sugar dunked in with our booze.

Leonine Contract's quote is way too long. From the subpage, the one from The Jackbox Party Pack is the most straightforward, but I'm not too keen on that one. Any other suggestions?

I found this quote headlining Sudden School Uniform. The trouble is it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the idea of the trope without context.

[up]Remove it; not having any quote would be better than that.

The page quote on Dumb and Drummer has no source. It also has a follow-up used as the page's stinger, so if a source can't be found, that will need to be dealt with alongside it to make sure it doesn't end up an Orphaned Punchline.

Quote suggestion for Penny-Pinching Crab:

"Listen, you crustaceous cheapskate! Squidward's been living at my house, driving me crazy! AND YOU'RE NOT GONNA HIRE HIM BACK ALL BECAUSE OF A STUPID DIME?!"

[down] Crustaceous = Crab-like or related to crabs. And it demonstrates how he fulfills the stereotype of crabs being greedy or stingy.

[up] Doesn’t really show the “crab” part. Also, he’s the pic.

[up] I know that. It’s limited to just that one word, though. And it illustrates the “penny-pinching” part fine.

I don't really think the quote on Most Writers Are Human illustrates the trope, which as I understand is primarily about humans getting the focus in sci-fi settings.

I think the page quote on Impossibly Tacky Clothes is a bit non-descriptive (especially with the mullet coming back into fashion for certain parts of society). It's currently:

"Short in the front, long in the back. That is the mullet of wedding dresses."

I had a look at the quotes page, and they're not great, but this one seems like the best of the bunch:

Banto: Awe inspiring? In that coat? Have you taken a look in the mirror recently? Come to think of it, I shouldn't think you do much else.
Doctor: I intend to rise above your barbs... but, before I do, I'd like to say that this coat can only be appreciated by someone with a sharpened aesthetic sense — not a dunderhead like you!
Banto: "Sharpened aesthetic sense"? Sharpened by what? A dose of mind-altering drugs?

Robin: Now let me get a look at this gorgeous... Er... dress? Oh dear. I've never seen so many... unusual colors and shapes in one piece of clothing.
Lucina: I know! It's very modern. See all the giant pink polka dots? If you look carefully, you'll see that each one is a portrait of Emmeryn herself! I wager when Father sees you in this, he'll just scream with delight!

Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols has a long and somewhat complainy quote (insults other musicians to make the Sex Pistols sound better by comparison). Is it okay if I trim it down to just a few lines?

"The Pistols' album has the best production of any rock record I've ever heard. It's totally in-your-face and compressed. All the hype The Sex Pistols had was totally deserved - they deserved everything they got."

[up][up] Definitely needs a trim. Also we shouldn't have glowing quotes like that in headers, it makes the quote look endorsed by the wiki. Go ahead and cut it down, though even in that reduced state I'm iffy about it.

Yeah, its still somewhat gushy. Maybe a quote from Anarchy in the UK would work, since it's one of the most famous songs from the album (and one of their most famous songs in general)?

"I am an Antichrist
I am an anarchist
Don't know what I want but I know how to get it
I wanna destroy the passersby"
— "Anarchy in the U.K."
