"Spec-tacular, Spec-tacular Spider-Man!
Also, the theme for the 1987 TMNT cartoon. It wasn't a very good adaptation, but I love that theme.

Batman's my favorite superhero, and it's always been my opinion that he's got hands-down some of the best music associated with him. Shirley Walker's Mask Of the Phantasm theme—an orchestral rendition of one of the BTAS themes—is spinechilling, indicative of everything that Batman is as a character, and a total classic overall.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.

This is topic that kind of crosses medium, but it's still rooted here.
Ever since comic book heroes have been adapted, people have been trying to top those who came before them my making badass themes for them. This is the topic for appreciation of those themes, from the radio themes of characters like Superman, to the oldest themes of cartoons of characters (also Superman), to live action television shows and films.
Since someone's going to bring it up sooner rather than later, I'll just say that BTAS' theme
is always going to be one of my favorites. Recently I've been thinking about a few others, though.
I've really been getting into the themes of the 60's Marvel shows, particularly Iron Man's and of course Spiderman's (one of my favorite themes in general).
So far, I can't decide: even though the former is only 20 seconds long and the latter is part of a great scene, very fitting in setting, and composed by Alan Menken, I can't figure out whether I like the 60's Captain America theme
or The Star Spangled Man
better.
